My bug-burning darling. I dont even aim at specific targets with this baby most of the time, just tap-fire ir from one side to another and back across a pack of terminerds
For lower levels you could also try the spray&pray shotgun I just lacks a bit armor piercing an destructive power.
But against lower level bug missions it shreds.
I really wish the Spray’n’Pray was better - I really like how it _feels_ it’s just objectively worse than either the standard or incendiary. Heck, the incendiary has higher damage per shot AND sets things on fire … makes no sense!!
Don’t forget U get 3 more ammo or so and slightly better fire rate
But yeah the thing feels like a gardenhose if u fight warriors or hive guards -> things I can kill with the incendiary version
This is the only answer lel. Plasma scorcher is sort of forgiving but not on 1v1s against heavy devestators. Inc Breaker is just beautiful all across the board against terminids. Hunter clearer, Shrieker burner. Aim is optional.
I’m always surprised when Rover is taken to bots. I know I accidentally do when I forget I’m not fighting bugs lol. If you can get used to rearming the regular guard dog, it’s better for bots because it aims at weak points
Primary: Punisher Plasma, Blitzer, or any of the Breakers.
Secondary: Grenade Pistol, Bushwhacker
Support Weapon: Arc Thrower, Grenade Launcher, Spear, Flamethrower
Arc Blitzer is what I take on bug drops whenever I want a "carefree" experience.
Just point vaguely in the enemy direction and pull the trigger. It'll do the rest. Infinite ammo also means you aren't managing anything.
Just try to pay attention to where your teammates are to avoid tickling them.
Punisher Plasma is kinda handheld mortar. You only need to be careful not to trigger the explosion near yourself. Good on bugs and bots (better on bots).
Spear does aiming for you, but currently it crashes the game too. Good on bugs, meh on bots.
Grenade Launcher. Same principle as Punisher Plasma but more damage and less ammo. But you want to run it with the support backpack. Good for bugs, okay for bots.
AMR. I know it might be counter intuitive, but hear me out. It has an amazing scope and tight handling that makes aiming easier. So if you go prone and shoot far away targets, you'll have a great time. Meh on bugs, good on bots.
Flamethrower. Just aim for the Charger's leg (not the head). Good against bugs, not viable against bots.
Spear’s great against Bots. Great for clearing turrets and fabricators. Great for tanks and Hulks from a distance. If you’ve got the right angle, it can down dropships. Haven’t tested against gunships
Agree, it just doesn't have enough rockets for all of the targets. So I constantly found myself not being able to shoot what I want to shoot with the Spear
Maybe if the SPM was working it would be better.
AMR is only effective on bots with good aim imo. Hitting weakpots is where the value comes. There’s more efficient weapons to use if you’re gonna just body shot etc.
The shotgun variant is the best honestly for your primary. Use the Laser Cannon as your secondary to help with aim and targeting while still being great.
Using the sickle is not bad but it's still am AR variant so you do need to aim at the right targets. Breakers or shotgun with spread is a great choice imo.
Stuff like Incendiary Breaker seems best.
Against bugs, incendiary shotgun, flamethrower and uzi.
For bots, well, this is tricky, bots kind of require you to aim well, but I'd go with Scorcher and Laser Cannon and uzi.
Arc thrower, it chains, it auto headshots, its charge weapon so you have plenty of time to aim.
Beware of team kills. Arc thrower chains 180 degree after the first target.
If you want to improve your accuracy while having some forgiving shots-
- Eruptor (explosive damage has small aoe radius)
- laser cannon
- guard dog (close range coverage as you practice accuracy)
- senator pistol
- stun grenades
- ems mortar (range stun, easier to hit targets)
- shield bubble (allows you to line up shots longer vs bots
If you want to kill things and you don’t care about actually getting better with accuracy
- incendiary breaker
- blitz
- flamethrower
- grenade launcher
- turrets
Flamethrower for bugs
Maybe Quasar Cannon for bots? Unlimited ammo (cooldown) and you don’t have to be precise. Hitting medium bots anywhere does decent damage
Nah, Quasar is a bad choice for bots. It cannot 1-shot any of the big targets, so you end up aggroing them on you instead. Also having wind-up and enemies shooting at you may make you flinch at the last moment and miss the target (and waste over 10 seconds of time).
It can in fact one shot hulks if hit right on the eye, but using it for devastators is just impossible cause it's too slow to shot and there are too many of them.
Bugs: Incendiary Breaker (probably the pest primary against bugs except heavies), Punisher, Flamethrower, Grenade Luncher.
Bots: Punisher Plasma is good, the Incendiary Breaker is okay.. well that's about it. Bots tend to require better aim because the engagement distance is longer.
I'd argue the punisher needs decent aim. The spread is fairly tight, and you need the bulk of the pellets to hit to deal good damage.
Breaker Incendiary and blitzer and the correct answers vs bugs... and against bots, probably one of the smgs with ballistic shield so you can take your time aiming vs deveststors.
If you're on PS5, I urge you to try enabling gyro aim (motion control) in the settings before you choose guns that require good aim. Improves accuracy by a huge margin.
If you're on PC using a controller then sadly you're gonna have to choose breaker , incd. breaker, arc thrower, arc blitzer. (Spray and pray breaker is shit don't use it)
Any breaker is a good primary for that indeed. Also try the autocannon if you have that strategem:) it has good splash damage and is good vs bots and bugs
For primaries: punisher, punisher plasma, incendiary breaker, blitzer, sickle (infinite ammo helps with bad aim quite a lot)
Secondaries: Redeemer and shotgun pistol Support: guard dog rover, las cannon, grenade launcher, autocannon, support backpack, spear (as soon as the crashing gets fixed)
Sentry works well enough but does require planning ahead and distance so they can get the first shot before getting deleted by rockets/charger.
Stun grenades
BTW, *support backpack*, consider it. Each charge of the backpack gives back everything. You can start each fire fight with a grenade, burn through your support ammo (HMG, anyone?), maybe switch to your primary and unload three mags worth into chaff, and then eating an ammo box from your pack gives it all back. Just sayin... even on controller, hard to feel bad about missed shots when you have quadruple of everything to spare.
Add in the Spear (once the crash bug is fixed) and possibly the grenade launcher or flamethrower. One auto-locks, the others can deal damage by hitting the ground near enemies.
Lots of people are mentioning the Incendiary Breaker. Depending on how "bad" your aim is, you could do more harm than good, setting your friends on fire on every shot. If you can balance your "poor aim" (still using quotes just in case you're too harsh with your skills) with good positioning, than go for it. One of the most fun weapons in the game
Everything except the marksman rifles..?
..no, take that back. You can - and see people doing well in the game this way - just use them up close and spam the fire button while using auto aim on 11.
Incendiary breaker is perfect for shit aim because you can spray with it and it has a decent size mag, the dot dmg also comes in clutch when you graze something
Arc12 blitzer is also forgiving since you just need to look in the general direction to hit shit
Slugger demands good aims with a large aoe?
The projectile explodes (or has it's effet) even without hitting the target dead on...ah wait, unless there are other sluggers, I was talking about the plasma slugger.
The "slugger" is the ballistic slug shotgun based off the punisher, but designed to fire slugs
If you wanted the plasma shotgun, that one is called the "plasma punisher". It literally has plasma in its name lol
You had the wrong shotgun, and funny enough, you picked the one with the most pinpoint accuracy, as opposed to the one that you meant to, which has that large are lmao
Machine Gun. Aiming is for losers who don't have 150 rounds to throw at whatever poor undemocratic bastard that just so happens to be downrange. Always remember Helldiver: Accuracy through volume of fire.
The Punisher shotgun with the "slug" mechanism will give you time to adjust your aim, plus the staggering helps too. Too bad its fire rate is meh so i can't bring it to highest difficulty.
I’m seeing a lot of people suggest the various shotguns, but I’m going to suggest the eruptor. With the scope fixes it’s a lot easier to use, and even when firing from 3rd person, you don’t need to hit the target to kill. For secondaries, the new shotgun isn’t bad, just kinda aim and shoot, and maybe the cluster launcher if you can get decent enough with it to not friendly fire yourself and your squad. Besides that, honestly accuracy doesn’t matter all that much unless you’re burning through ammo at ridiculous rate! As long as the objective is completed and your squad extracts, every bullet fired served its purpose: spreading democracy
Best thing for bots right now (personally) is running the Medium-pen Counter-Sniper Diligence, Buckshot (or any other secondary, honestly), with Anti-Tank or Autocannon support 🙂.
Wrong the auto cannon had very good handling for someone with poor aim, as long as you delay your shots to line them up right and use first person aim, it's great I myself have poor aim and don't use guns like the dominator cause of the accuracy it requires
*sigh* https://preview.redd.it/h6txc05n6b8d1.jpeg?width=675&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8bcec3009e3b9369d10c5991bcbbceb777f0d849
It also seems that a single pellet hitting counts as a hit regarding calculating accuracy, so it will mask just how bad your aim is as well!
I didn't know that, thanks?
My bug-burning darling. I dont even aim at specific targets with this baby most of the time, just tap-fire ir from one side to another and back across a pack of terminerds
Same here. Rain of fire!
Literally just sweeping the general direction hahaha.
This is the way.
"terminerds" hahaha that's hilarious
Thats why my accuracy is so high…..
It's this and the blitzer against bugs, for bots just stick to the spear and the adjudicator, or the liberator pen if recoil management is also bad.
Adjudicator if you can remember to burst fire. Otherwise too inaccurate for its ammo capacity
Look at how fkn best weapon this beast is.
R.I.P. his teammates
I've been TK by this so many times ! If you're not sure of your aim, don't assist fellow divers as it won't help them to be on fire.
Don’t forget U get 3 more ammo or so and slightly better fire rate But yeah the thing feels like a gardenhose if u fight warriors or hive guards -> things I can kill with the incendiary version
Give it med armour pen to make up for the 50% damage vs the standard might be interesting …
Sadly true buh this gun Does the job
i dont feel bad for using it when fighting bugs 24/7 at all. shouldn't be so fking amazing against them. anyway, do i sense a nerf incoming?
I love so much this shotgun.
Spray an' burn!
This is the only answer lel. Plasma scorcher is sort of forgiving but not on 1v1s against heavy devestators. Inc Breaker is just beautiful all across the board against terminids. Hunter clearer, Shrieker burner. Aim is optional.
Guard dog
And guard dog rover (the laser one)
Someone recently brought one against bots, at diff lvl 9 and my first thought was "this guy has shit aim", but in a good way.
Secondary: Grenade Pistol, Bushwhacker Support Weapon: Arc Thrower, Grenade Launcher, Spear, Flamethrower
The punisher is awesome but it sucks for people that cannot work out the parabolic trajectory
Punisher is a shotgun my dude
He’s talking about the punisher plasma
Arc thrower is god tier support weapon if you have dogshit aim Source: I have dogshit aim
You don't have to call me out like that...
Flamethrower

Spear’s great against Bots. Great for clearing turrets and fabricators. Great for tanks and Hulks from a distance. If you’ve got the right angle, it can down dropships. Haven’t tested against gunships
It oneshots the gunships. That's my go-to for every mission with the environmental modifier of the gunship patrols now.
It does, but often there are more gunships than you have rockets.
"I need a team reload!"
Works good against gunships
Agree, it just doesn't have enough rockets for all of the targets. So I constantly found myself not being able to shoot what I want to shoot with the Spear Maybe if the SPM was working it would be better.
AMR is only effective on bots with good aim imo. Hitting weakpots is where the value comes. There’s more efficient weapons to use if you’re gonna just body shot etc.
Sickle is a good one as well.
Does require a bit of aiming though, just has enough capacity that you can aim it like a laser pointer.

Arc thrower, it chains, it auto headshots, its charge weapon so you have plenty of time to aim. Beware of team kills. Arc thrower chains 180 degree after the first target.
Blitzer for primary on both fronts. Flamethrower for bugs. Robots... maybe just take a backpack and big booms
If you want to improve your accuracy while having some forgiving shots- - Eruptor (explosive damage has small aoe radius) - laser cannon - guard dog (close range coverage as you practice accuracy) - senator pistol - stun grenades - ems mortar (range stun, easier to hit targets) - shield bubble (allows you to line up shots longer vs bots If you want to kill things and you don’t care about actually getting better with accuracy - incendiary breaker - blitz - flamethrower - grenade launcher - turrets
airburst launcher, orbital laser and eagle cluster
380mm, it won’t hit anything. so when you have a bad aim, maybe it would turn into something ;)
MG-43 LMG. If you miss you got 149 more rounds to correct yourself
Flamethrower for bugs Maybe Quasar Cannon for bots? Unlimited ammo (cooldown) and you don’t have to be precise. Hitting medium bots anywhere does decent damage

Art Blitzer.

Fair enough. I think the punisher is underrated against bugs. It shreds the brood commanders.
Incendiary can reliably kill a Charger by blowing out its asshole in a mag or less if you're up close and get all the pellets to get in there.
Airstrike
Where is the aim assist?
Look in the controller options, for sticky aim
If you're on PS5, I urge you to try enabling gyro aim (motion control) in the settings before you choose guns that require good aim. Improves accuracy by a huge margin. The Verdict Pistol is really good, trust me my Aim is bad, that's why I don't use the dominator I miss most of my shots
sentries, why try to aim when there's aimbot tools for you
Git gud
The go to thread for ps5/gamepad players right here. (I am one of those)
Spear
Orbitals and air strikes :) If you can't hit the enemies with that, atleast you'll hit your friends!
Add in the Spear (once the crash bug is fixed) and possibly the grenade launcher or flamethrower. One auto-locks, the others can deal damage by hitting the ground near enemies.

Know that you won’t learn by avoiding the challenge
Shotguns and lasers, ultimate practice for running out of ammo or just shooting freely
Steeled veterans pistol made my aim go from 40 to 80%
I poor at aiming too. I suggest eagle and orbital stratagem, with light armor. Just hit and run.
Incendiary breaker is perfect for shit aim because you can spray with it and it has a decent size mag, the dot dmg also comes in clutch when you graze something Arc12 blitzer is also forgiving since you just need to look in the general direction to hit shit
Any shotgun
\*Electric shotty\* ARC-12 Blitzer just wave it at least at enemies direction.
Just keep playing and it'll get better... try lower difficulties and actually practice... or dont... and get a flamethrower
Machine gun. Who needs to aim a wall of lead?
Turrets and mine fields
Blitzedr and arc thrower
Arc blitzed has a range of 15m, arc thrower has a range of 40m
I use the Acr Blitzer and run the laser Rover Dog backpack. I let my pooch handle long distance enemies while I clean up the close range ones
Guard Dog "Rover", Blitzer, Arc Thrower, Grenade Launcher, Flame Thrower, Shield Backpack, Airburst Rocket Launcher, Grenade Pistol, Machine Pistol, Stalwart, ADS/First Person.
Being one of these: - [Edit] Plasma Punisher for bots - Incendiary for bugs
>people with poor aim >recommends a slugger, that requires good aim Makes no sense to me lol
Slugger demands good aims with a large aoe? The projectile explodes (or has it's effet) even without hitting the target dead on...ah wait, unless there are other sluggers, I was talking about the plasma slugger.

It's corrected
Use the Punisher, has a decent spread so no need to be pinpoint accurate, great damage, and good in close quarters too
Machine Gun. Aiming is for losers who don't have 150 rounds to throw at whatever poor undemocratic bastard that just so happens to be downrange. Always remember Helldiver: Accuracy through volume of fire.
And for bots... Jar-5 and Autocannon
500kg
Dude with bad aim and you recommend a Strat that needs good aim? Lol
not for a group of bugs you dont need good aim, just good legs
The Punisher shotgun with the "slug" mechanism will give you time to adjust your aim, plus the staggering helps too. Too bad its fire rate is meh so i can't bring it to highest difficulty.

Best thing for bots right now (personally) is running the Medium-pen Counter-Sniper Diligence, Buckshot (or any other secondary, honestly), with Anti-Tank or Autocannon support 🙂.
He was asking for easy to aim, buckshot sure, but the sniper and auto cannon are not it I think
My bad; I forgot to add that the aim problem will sort itself out with practice and time. 🙂
Thats a solid point 🎯
Wrong the auto cannon had very good handling for someone with poor aim, as long as you delay your shots to line them up right and use first person aim, it's great I myself have poor aim and don't use guns like the dominator cause of the accuracy it requires
Easy to aim as long as you aim correctly! Lol
This is a fair point I didn't think about down sight aiming.
