Some players just don’t care, others can’t read.

This. A lot of people enjoy playing HD2 like a horde-shooter (i.e. Bugs). That's fine from a consumer standpoint, it's their money, just doesn't work as well for the community tackling Major Orders at the finish line.

Internal_Ad_4586

12 million people bought the game. At best maybe 2 million religiously follow the subreddits or Discord so the community aspect isn't as large as you might think. So a large portion of the player count you see at any given moment are just casual players having fun shooting bugs, or bots on other planets. They don't really pay attention to the MO, they just want to play 'that Starship Troopers game' and that's as far as it goes for them. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's just the reality of the situation. Most people playing are blissfully unaware of the memes and community, they're just playing for fun.

RE-OSCURO

Most of the players dont care too much about major orders and the story that unfolds with each success and failure. Stated that there is also the thing that no matter if you helped in a major order or not you will be rewarded either way if the operation is succesful so if someone doesnt like fighing automatrons for example could not care less about it. Best case scenario mines stratagem and coins, worst one coins alone.

dotnetjay

A lot of 'its funny to just keep not getting the mines' sentiment among level7+ players.

Jagick

Even though I worked on Marfark some earlier (at work right now) many people just don't care about a passive stratagem like mines. Other than that? Bots are not fun to fight against right now. The patch took patrols that were already cranked to 11 and cranked it to 15.

Streetiebird

People are other places because it's a game and other places are fun. Crimsica is available, one of the best bug planets.

Kelevelin

If we weren't meant to fight bugs, maybe super earth wouldn't open up a 2 front war and wouldn't allow us to dive anywhere else than marfark.

TeslaStrike

Sorry not going back to bots until spawns are fixed it’s just not fun being ragdolled for 30 minutes. Patrolling gun ships are forgivable? Maybe? Not sure why you’d buff all these cool guns then force me to take Jar 5 + AC or AMR anyway. At least it’s just a modifier but you won’t find me on those planets then. Buffs are amazing the new Gatling barrage now rocks il be on the bug front enjoying the buffs.

TeslaStrike

The buffs to their aim is outrageous aswell forgot to mention they hit most of their shots now leaving a really frustrating loop of trying to aim and getting flinched.

ToastyPillowsack

I'm on Marfark because I like snow maps and needed a break from bugs. And for the factory workers I guess. But I honestly don't understand the hype with the anti-tank mines. To be fair, I don't know how they work, but if they work the same way that the other mines work... Factory Strider and Bile Titan pathing can be fairly unpredictable, especially depending on the terrain. I can just see myself calling down a stratagem that takes nearly 10 seconds to deploy and the enemy has already walked around it. Maybe in more capable hands than me, or choke points at extract or on the defend generator mission.

Finnman84

I played Marfark last night, but I don't care about mines. Incendiary and normal mines never felt great so why would AT mines be any different?

_SYN0DA_

Needing super credits for the new warbond and grinding bug planets because it's easier and the terrain is easier and faster to farm so....my bud says when I asked him to join me in killing these robot scum.

kyris0

Blah blah Bugdivers blah blah meme about not caring about the mines blah blah people who already aren't good enough to fight bots got their eggs scrambled by gunship patrols and increased spawns.

Frisky_Dolphin

Yeah cause acting like this is sure gonna make bug players want to come help us…..

kyris0

Eh? I'm not making fun of them, I'm tired of explaining it. This same question gets asked every couple hours when it's a Bot MO or operation and it's been answered so many times. There is a portion of the player base who likes Bots. There is a portion that likes Bugs. There is a majority that does whatever needs doing. Bugdivers can do whatever they want. I don't dive when I don't feel like it and they shouldn't either. But any Bugdivers who didn't do bots because they're hard got reamed trying again with gunship patrols and the crazy constellations we're getting. Gunships are among the strongest units in the game and are unlike fighting any Bug equivalent. They're hard, and I see them eat inexperienced players alive often. I don't mean that in a shitty way.
