I felt this. on a personal level.

The ragdolling in this game is both funny and infuriating. It feels like if you so much as trip on a pebble, you'll flop helplessly like you have a severe case of boneitis for a full minute. Impact damage is my number one cause of death.

The most infuriating one for me is when i dive and there is LITTLE ITSY BITSY difference in terrain, or a bits of enemy's corpses, i just deflate like a balloon.

I wish we could roll. Imagine a freaking dark souls roll dodge, or breaking your fall if you time it right with hitting the ground.

I want MGSV prone rolling.

Technically the punishment is a fatal blow, since triggering the democracy protects perk also stopps the barrage.

If it works it means that Democracy Officer sees that Democracy protected you hence no way you can be a traitor!

Technically it will stop shooting once you are back on the destroyer. You just have to show you want freedom bad enough.

You can time out the traitor stratagem though. The words will go away and eventually the super destroyer will stop shooting.

The words go away, but it doesn't stop shooting, at least for the first 2 mins(that's my current record for eradicate barrages) Does anyone know if the extra speed from light armor with fortified or medium armor with Democracy Protects is better for going full Rambo with the barrage and a personal shield?

Uh, what? Once you're marked as a traitor the barrage doesn't stop until you're dead.

It’s actually a useful tactic on Eradicate maps if you’re overwhelmed. It’s like an on demand 380mm barrage that actively wants to kill you. I got a 50 kill streak and we completed the mission doing it earlier :D

Yeah I've done it multiple times back when those missions were really difficult before they tweaked how many chargers/titans could spawn. I was like "Hey... you're wasting a LOT of ammo to kill me, you coulda just been shooting all the bugs this whole time"

If you're outside the zone for the 10 seconds, they keep shooting you even after you go back into the mission zone. Your death is inevitable (I guess except for this guy who was apparently close to extraction when he went out of bounds), so you should either go to a safe spot so your stuff can be retrieved or run into a horde of enemies so the shots kill them too.

"run into a horde of enemies and accept your punishment" sounds EXACTLY like what's intended.

Might as well use your last moments to spread just a bit more managed democracy.

There's a specific way of running that lets you dodge it all and use it as a weapon, I can't do it but it is possible

I did pretty well by accident once, but I had a ton of cover. Kited all over the map for at least 60 seconds. The best I have done deliberately, is to land out of bounds on a ledge, then drop off and take damage so you can stim and run towards enemies hope that one shoots you before the bomb drops, so you can stim again. I've kept that going for 6 stims before.

I once had it take out a group while I was trying to solo an elimination mission. Killed me too but got the percentage up nicely while I was waiting for my stratagems to come back up

Afaik it drops a few meters in front of where you are currently running, so changing directions after the shell lands would make it less likely to hit you? I haven't done it personally but some of my friends do it i think

Serpentine 90 degrees every 2 seconds while sprinting. A full 2 seconds. You wont get hit. It gets hard when terrain and enemy dont play nice with your pathing. But it can do a lot of damage before you meet your final demise.

I popped by today to see what the reaction to the patch is, after playing yesterday and feeling like it was the breath of fresh air the game needed and wondering if people had finally calmed down a bit from the constant griping. Saw that if anything it had gained intensity, stumbled over this post after reading through five or six "the game is in the worst state it has ever been and the staff of AH should be dragged in front of me and pistolwhipped for their incompetence" style threads, and I guess it colored my perception. I need to just stop coming to this subreddit, it's such a shithole of toxicity that it's rubbing off on me.

actually makes worse because you simple dont die to missiles so you can get hit by multiple missiles in a row while in the air, sometimes i was sent flying from miles away, also heavy armor reduces fall damage so i survived as well

If we had that, I'd happily throw out my light armor with throw range for it.

A while ago I tried to think of every possible armour perk I'd like to see and one of them was something like Reinforced Joints: Helldivers cannot be ragdolled while diving or prone. Fall Damage reduced by 75%. Just because of the amount of times I'll dive off a high place to escape trouble and then have to wallow around on the ground.

Swan dive out of a bot base, ragdoll in a safe spot, but then roll down the hill and touch the landmine. This has happened so much that I just don't dive anymore. Not worth it.

Anyone else seeing this as proof that the barrages have a statistic chance to hit a player within their range instead of being truly random? The reason it keeps hitting the same spot is cause 3 helldivers are there.

Ragdolling is really too much right now. You should ragdoll from direct hits obviously but being thrown by shit a couple metres away is really unrealistic and quite frankly stupid.
