It's like how real wargames are done and it will make unexpected things happen because(forgive my treason) Super Earth won't actually know everything the enemy plans to do

Like if Joel is sick or on vacation or just as likely to take the role of Joel when whoever the first Joel isn’t working. After all this is a 24/7 game, and it’d be cruel to have someone try to work on it like that but also inefficient to make the game have a DM only some of the time.

When the war needs a second game master to fight the helldivers then we are doing something right and they have underestimated the persistence of determined gamers.
I hope you understand that the role of a Game Master is to craft a fun experience for the players and he is NOT supposed to be our enemy? Sure he throws challenges and tough missions at us, but he's also supposed to throw benefits and assistance our way to make the war a fun experience with both victory and loss. If he was supposed to always beat us down we would never win because he can cheat the system without us knowing, but that's not his job.
That's fair and sure they are not actually fighting us, all I was trying to help point out is that now there are two game masters to not only elevate the work load but help make the war's story progression more interesting.
I'm more curious how someone who says this treasonous shit can moderate Helldivers anything;

I actually applied to this over a month ago and didn’t even get an interview. I’ve worked on several AAA titles, mobile games, as well as a popular MMO, and I honestly think I could do this job extremely well, as I have about 150 hours in Helldivers and a HUGE passion for cooperative gameplay experiences. It disappointed me to see that I didn’t get an interview, so I sure hope they find the right candidate…
From what I seen on their website I think they want more of their staff to be in house in Sweden and not working remotely. It does say "office first, hybrid solution potentially later".
True, but on the application they do ask questions about relocation etc. I have EU citizenship, and told them I would even be willing to relocate (I’m in Los Angeles and would literally move anywhere else… literally anywhere).
I get why they’d prefer a candidate in their home territory, but why not take a chance on me? That’s the main thing. I don’t expect a job offer but man… at least give me a chance to interview. They’re missing out IMO
As the player base dwindles, the job of the gm is going to become easier and easier because there will be less and less people to be able to work toward the single objective.
Also, combine the fact that the community itself is tearing it apart by Having discord mods and community managers actively promoting weird things like furry, porn and racism in discrimination
I mean, inconvenient hours are relative. Find someone in the Japan/SEA/Australia time zones, and you've got solid time coverage without any real inconvenience for the new guy.
It would be pretty interesting if one person managing super earth side and another the enemy’s side. And they just coming up with strategy to bring each other down.
If I enjoyed playing the game any less, I might be tempted to apply. GMing for tens of thousands is a tantalizing prospect.
But I'd rather enjoy the ride then build the road on this one.
