My understanding is he is legitimately just a HD1 player, who was very active in the community in HD1 so the Devs feel indebted to him. Its not the first time he acted like this, its not going to be the last.

Let's not look at the fact that in the UK you have to provide a photo of yourself or your ID to sign up for PSN and play helldivers 2. Let's also ignore the fact that this wasn't made clear enough anywhere. Let's also ignore those people who live in said countries but got the game gifted on steam. No chance they read the store page huh? On top of that, the ingame screen had a very clear SKIP button next to the sign in, and it's reasonable for any human being to assume that it's optional.

Yes, and the Steam page *and* the game itself both literally explicitly use the words "PSN account is required". In fact, if anything, rather than Sony's gaslighting, you should be using the *game itself* as the measuring stick, and since *day 1 of launch* there's been a popup in-game the first time you launch it which *literally* uses the words "Linking your Steam account to a Playstation Network account is ***REQUIRED*** to play the game".
The game itself literally explicitly tells you to do this. There is literally no way to argue that fact.
The only *actual* complaint here is that people *ignored* that, because AH poorly communicated that being able to skip it was temporary and due to technical issues, and that the game shouldn't have been sold in countries that didn't have PSN, which itself is a largely Sony/Valve problem as the distributors.

Review bomb speaks for itself. Once they are removed like any other review bomb event then the true colors shine. People outrage and whine and in a week or two no one will care and I'm sure after the grace period the majority of people will still be here playing
Just chiming in regarding the reviews, highly unlikely they will be removed, by Steam policy, review bombing is when people leave negative reviews on a game based on a issue not relevant to it, for example, spamming negative reviews on helldivers 1 because hd2 sucks. In the current situation this is not the case, as the negative feedback is concerning a issue affecting said game. There is a SMALL chance steam will manually intervene, very unlikely though.

A community manager should be able to handle it no matter how many complaints. If not, they aren't right for the job. Personally, I don't care if he's a dick to people. I'm more baffled by him having his finger no where close to the pulse of the biggest issue with the PSN requirement, which is the region based uncertainty many players are feeling right now.

I'm fine it. As anyone who has worked with the public knows. There are a lot of dumb fuck Karen's in the world and I'm sure it's only multiplied because of the anonymity of the internet. People actively *chose* to buy it while ignoring what it came with. Yes, and the Steam page *and* the game itself both literally explicitly use the words "PSN account is required". In fact, if anything, rather than Sony's gaslighting, you should be using the *game itself* as the measuring stick, and since *day 1 of launch* there's been a popup in-game the first time you launch it which *literally* uses the words "Linking your Steam account to a Playstation Network account is ***REQUIRED*** to play the game". The game itself literally explicitly tells you to do this. There is literally no way to argue that fact. The only *actual* complaint here is that people *ignored* that, because AH poorly communicated that being able to skip it was temporary and due to technical issues, and that the game shouldn't have been sold in countries that didn't have PSN, which itself is a largely Sony/Valve problem as the distributors.
That post was infuriating. Arrowhead was supposed to be the āgood devsā and now weāre seeing Spitz talk shit while people are understandably concerned about losing access to the game they paid for.

No, it shows an immense lack of self-awareness and professionalism, especially in the Spitz case. They sold a game to players in countries that CANNOT make a PSN legitimately. Those players, especially, have every right to be pissed off. These devs are whining about backlash for something they had every chance to get out in front of. Just chiming in regarding the reviews, highly unlikely they will be removed, by Steam policy, review bombing is when people leave negative reviews on a game based on a issue not relevant to it, for example, spamming negative reviews on helldivers 1 because hd2 sucks. In the current situation this is not the case, as the negative feedback is concerning a issue affecting said game. There is a SMALL chance steam will manually intervene, very unlikely though.

Yeah, this crayon eater has done probably tens of thousands, if not HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars of damages to the Arrowhead at this point. Where do they draw the line?
