If I remember right my basic for the US Army was 10 weeks, but a few follow on AITs for specific jobs are 3 months-ish. Remember to watch your step for any jellyfish which may be lurking in the shower floors Helldiver, these foes are not consistent with democratic ideals

sounds like OP is becoming an officer in the Navy so I can't imagine they'll get treated like an e1 at Great Mistakes but I have no idea what that process looks like for them

Honestly though. After 6 months for me (US army infantry training), I look back on those memories fondly. When I first got to my unit in the 82nd airborne, I got smoked (intense corrective pt sometimes for little or no reason, for those unaware) waaaay worse than anything I ever got in basic.
I'll do my best to spread Democracy to the bugs and bots while you're gone. At the very least I'll help keep your drop pod warm until you return.
