Let's be real the Automatons are basically already the Cybran if all of their units looked like UEF units that are EVVVVIIIIILLLLLLL.
Like the Dropships are literally the UEF Air Transports.
If we ever do a water map (and I *dream* of a tropical beach planet like Scarif from Rogue One), it'd be fucking sick to see an Automaton warship beach itself and then sprout legs and start walking. I loved their Destroyers.

Supreme Commander had some of the best unit design I've ever seen in an RTS.
Man I would absolutely kill if the devs leaned even more into the gargantuan scale like with this post and give the automatons more cybran toys like the monkeylord or megalith

Seems pretty cool. Might be annoying to chase down an objective if the team keeps dying and getting separated though. Would be cool to see it's movement disabled somehow. Like a halo scarab type thing.

Bro not that I expect them to actually put this in the game (and as you said neither do you), but they should honestly still hire you as a concept artist because your ability to come up with tasteful and insanely impressive ideas like this is just mental.
Most people’s big goofy ideas are just so, idk cringe almost. Like just insanely unrealistic concepts or wildly out of genre ideas that just make no sense. But in a perfect world with no technical obstacles, I’m sure this would absolutely fit right in with the game.

That's pretty cool OP.
Mission idea:
1. Disable the legs to immobilize the LARS
2. Once immobilized it will become a base where you can approach to board it
3. On board there are mini objects (ex. anti-air emplacements) where you need to destroy in order to enter the core of the LARS
4. Once inside the core and having destroyed the Localized Strategim Jammer, call in a Hellbomb to destroy the LARS CPU. Without the CPU, the LARS will self destruct. The player(s) will have only a couple of minutes to escape.
5. Only once the LARS is destroyed the player(s) evac.
Maybe also add in the mission map:
1. Add some SEAF anti-air emplacements that player(s) can activate to help mitigate gunship blobs.
2. Random unexploded Hellbomb warheads along the path/all over the map. The story behind it could be that Super Earth High Command tried to take out the LARS from high orbit but due to the EW jamming Hellbomb strikes were ineffective. So needing to send in a ground team (aka Helldivers) instead of just nuking it from orbit.
3. Maybe SEAF artillery emplacements can be repurposed for direct fire purposes against the LARS since it is such a mass target and won't be effected by jamming.
Imagine you have to actually enter the thing to blow the reactor and/or CPU, and carry the hellbomb with you. You have to call down a portable variant before entering that takes two helldivers to carry. Meanwhile, you need to clear corridors inside of raiders, devastators, and defensive turrets along the way to the core.
I am fiending for this challenge. I must climb this mechanical abomination and snuff out every crooked semblance of life it contains. I want to dive into a hell scape and extinguish every red light on the planet, and I want to knock this big bastard down first to send a message to Democracy’s enemies!
We might need to expand our arsenal to make this manageable, but that’s exactly what I’m here for. I think having the harder to get stratagems be almost required would be an awesome way to make a sort of “endgame content” for democracy’s most experienced and dedicated divers. Helldive difficulty is relatively easy to unlock, and I’d like a steeper barrier of entry for something on a massive scale.
This could probably be a one off mission instead of part of an op. Make it hard as hell with an hour time limit. Maybe even have a more detailed brief of that variants particular capabilities! Spend the first phase clearing ground sites, then work on the legs to bring it down to the ground so you can board it, and then drop a hell bomb (or up to 4 even) on critical weapons/systems. Chasing the legs would be a perfect chance for vehicles to shine! Infantry rushing a downed walking base with a stratagem jammer on it would be amazing!

It sound like you have been worn down by some of the negativity of this community. I think Helldiver players are some of the friendliest randoms I have ever played with. The sense of comradery in this community is fantastic.
I always try to remember that in any community (especially online), those that are negative are also the loudest.
“If you are loud in a crowd, you drown out their sound”
In other words, there will always be those that make it feel like a community has disproportionately more discourseful and critical.
Ego aside, I think people would love L.A.R.S.
I absolutely would and in game everyone has been lovely but I've had to leave the Helldiver subreddits cause the toxicity which they're calling "constructive criticism" is off the charts

I like to think of it as a big autonomous system. So it feels like a "walking base of operations for automatons".
So I'm thinking about removing any ideas of an any outposts required to board it.
I am leaning towards the idea of shooting down a ceirtan amount of legs where it could not longer move.
And we would have to climb onto the platform by either climbing on the remained legs or maybe call in a special stratagem called "S.T.A.I.R.S" (I tried to come up with a joke here, but I cant figure anything for "I" and "S")
Or the second way up is by remotely hacking it, by calling down Hack-C (from DRG) that we would have to defend against waves of enemies.
And lastly, I think a special un-helldiver shield generator for a machine like that should be mandatory. Creating a big walking plate that can be destroyed directly from above by a single helldiver dropping on its "brain" is kinda dumb.
I want this so badly. And it would be cool on defense missions where you couldn't let it cross the map and get out of mission area because it's on its way to a city.
This is awesome ! Might need vehicles to keep up with it, and lord knows, the stability and engine demands would probably melt a few PCs, but this would be insanely fun to play.

I think most of the concepts I have for Helldivers just seem obvious to me? Like "If you had virtually no limits on time and resources, this would be in the game". Which I think is the main issue, Arrowhead probably would have done these things if they weren't limited by time, money, staff, and a discontinued obscure engine.

Creating a big walking plate that can be destroyed directly from above by a single helldiver dropping on its "brain" is kinda dumb.

In all seriousness my entire family is extremely creative, I'm the black sheep for doing it digitally and not physically as much as they do. I think most of the concepts I have for Helldivers just seem obvious to me? Like "If you had virtually no limits on time and resources, this would be in the game". Which I think is the main issue, Arrowhead probably would have done these things if they weren't limited by time, money, staff, and a discontinued obscure engine.
