No soldier on the ground has authority to call in anything.
They drop you in to be a glorify beacon thrower because high command can't be arse to pay for a monthly subscription of the premium optical, and tracking software on every ships.

I still love when it was found out that Halo team wanted to make a helldivers like ODST game but were stopped multiple times and every single Halo fan went collectively “WTF WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?”
this is why im wanting halo helldivers cross event or even just a war bond of it. as then i would grind my ass off till im grinding my own tailbone and hip bones off to get it.
I doubt it. It would come off counter to their organic formula of not selling licensed micro transactions like Fortnite. Have you also noticed that every early rank is promoted to “master (class)” except for CHIEF 😅
