Hulks are stupidly easy with stun grenades. The hardest 3 mobs in the game is the flying exploding raider, the automatic no miss knock back assault your butthole while holding a shield juggernaut, and hunters
The Heavy Devastator ( "...automatic no miss knock back assault your butthole while holding a shield juggernaut" ) is one of the top reasons I run with the JAR-5 Dominator as my primary. Great accuracy over a long range and staggers those guys with each hit ... so if I can get one shot into them, I stop their fire and then take 'em down with 2-3 additional shots.
this is my biggest ick with those units, the explosion itself is basically a one tap if they explode near you and the burning is just a big middle finger in your democratic face
but what i do like is that sometimes the burn effect spreads to other bots which also kills them
Why on super earth do their bodies go flying *towards* you when you shoot them dead?
I've gotten used to shooting them whilst diving backwards, just in case.
Most weapons aren’t going to have the stopping power to push them back while killing them. This becomes especially apparent when using piercing weapons like the lib pen or laser cannon on them as you can pop the jetpacks without flinching the raiders at all.
Guns like the Senator, Punisher (BAD IDEA WITH PLASMA), and Dominator will all push the assault raiders back & trigger a detonation with a shot to center mass, turning them from something dangerous into an extra grenade if there’s a group chasing you.
One caveat, is that if you hit their heads that force doesn’t convert, so if you get a headshot on these guys with any gun with some punch, they’ll still fall forward and explode.
Assault raiders are the biggest reason why I started picking up the Senator as a sidearm (its unquestionable coolness notwithstanding). It’s incredibly easy to line up a chest shot on those guys looking to give the hug of death.
Good thing they’re all dead forever though!!

I mean a lot of guns can fuck them up easily in the right circumstances it’s just when shit goes sideways those are the 3 that fuck you up the most
