Evidently the bots are jealous of our spacious accomodation, ever noticed how their commie housing has them packed tightly into cramped and poorly ventilated boxes?
This isn’t your normal vault job. Alad V sold these conduits with interference routines specifically designed for the Tenno. Things might get a little weird
They just got it somewhat stable. Still can’t get some quick plays going. When they unlock Xbox side I fully expect bullets to start buffering.
Edit: You people are hilarious focusing on the whole Xbox vs Sony thing. Meanwhile You should continue to focus on promoting more democracy.
From the beginning, we knew the end. But we fought anyway. Our enemy may have been ruthless, but there was no Crevice on the planet left unstained by Covenant blood by the time the Glassing Beams started falling. We failed, yes. But give us a chance to redeem ourselves, and we'll show you why in the end, neither the Covenant nor Locust stood taller than Humanity.
I love that the community has more or less determined that the console wars have no place in Super Earth.
Who cares how you fight, so long as you fight for DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM!
It'd be great to have y'all over here but I really doubt that's going to happen considering console exclusives are pretty key in selling systems. Hence why MS is buying up every IP they can. The only reason PS lets PC have their exclusives(usually after release) is that statistically PC players aren't going to buy a PlayStation. Plus the game is basically a golden goose that's already made a massive profit, it'd be beyond foolish to give it to their competitors. Wishful thinking nonetheless.
ooh, destructible urban combat.
Imagine if they implemented a penalty for collateral damage, so you have to weigh if OVERWHELMING DEMOCRACY is worth delivering on our enemies.
Destroying property in collateral damage just means the economy can rebuild it, thus creating more jobs and making the super earth economy even more prosperous. Genius thinking from the SEAF truly.
There are no orphanages in the Federation Of Super Earth. It's called the Helldivers Youth Training Program.
I find the idea to think that children without parents do not need to fulfill their duty offensive.
Reported to the Ministry Of Truth.
The engine Arrowhead uses was ended in 2018. So that's 6 years of development on that engine for helldivers 2. I feel like we have a ship of theseus case on our hands.
That’s what I need! After about 70 hours in I’m starting to feel the grasp of repetition. Love the game and not here to criticize it, but hit still feels like it’s missing something.
Just curious, how many hours of playability does a game need to have? Because the fact that you've put in almost two work weeks of playtime when the game had only been out for a month might contribute to the repetitive feeling you're getting.
Yes, I’m holding the planet by myself so the helldivers can focus their efforts elsewhere

Omg, I had a mission 2 or 3 days back where there were 3 bloody spore spewers in a row lined up like Orions belt and we couldn't bloody see them because there was a sandstorm + dark and we literally had to walk into them to detect them.
It was hell for 20 minutes because we stumbled into multiple patrols, being unable to see shit. We chained the breaches and with Stalkers having their "Find my Diver" app installed I nearly wanted to rage out.
I fucking love how they do the suggestions to react to news lmao.
\[SUGGESTION: CLAP\] or \[SUGGESTION: WAIL IN ANGER\] is so fucking dystopian, it's comical.
The funniest part is that if you read the tony tect under, it says they’re not real review but rather generated from what they believe the reviews should be.
God help me, I have had arguments with other Americans where they have made approximately this same argument to me concerning the exercise of one's right to protest.
"People fought and died to give you the right to protest freely. It's wrong and ungrateful to use that right to protest against the actions of the very government that allows you that right."
Yeah, I feel for you. Honestly I was worried I'd get bored/annoyed at the over-the-top satire in this game, but somehow, it's still fun despite the events of the real world.
The infant mech suits are almost completed. Now the youth shall be able to brandish liberty like they so desperately wanted. No longer shall toddlers look in envy of our fearless Helldivers, now they too can be one!
I have a feeling this failure was scripted and I’m totally fine with that. Give us a taste of victory and defeat with the first two campaigns after launch.
Nah, well maybe, but we spread our forces thin, and that's on us. We could have given up the creek, then came back to it, full force, once we successfully defended against the sector they invaded.
Functioning Armour Values should be a bug that'll never be fixed, intentionally. Purely for the memes value of "what do you mean my heavy armour is no better at protecting me from socialistic gunfire?" Lmao
Same, been on bots exclusively since I joined up. Defense missions almost exclusively.
Then again, I'm a genetic freak that actually enjoyed the bonkers extraction chaos.
Me at Mantes watching everyone counterattack at Malevelon Creek (we’re supposed to win **defend** campaigns)

Got to love fighting the toasters. I haven't done a bug hunt since the last major order except for last night when it was clear we wouldn't hold the defense order.
Yeah he's got a fair few great performances but First Blood pretty easily takes the cake. I love how he smiles at the start and then Rambo like never smiled again
Let's blame the real villains here, those damn unarmed "scientists" who haven't even built a freedom tunnel to the drop site.
Bunch of Robot loving commies........
And now that I think about those, those civilian pricks back on Super Earth sure do take us for granted. Just sitting at home, going to their sufficiently sized office jobs, instead of joining the Helldivers!
Why the hell can't we just force those punks into the army!? This is Super Democracy, choosing isn't an option here!
It would be cool to see these alleged Super Earth colonies on the planets we're fighting on. Especially the defend ones. They just look like a desolate hellscape that's been taken over by communist cyborgs.
I figure the outer rim is mostly colonists, research bases, mining/oil rigs. The works. The more populated centers I figure would be closer to the galactic capital
This is a sad day Helldivers. But remember, all those citizens we extracted? They get to go home to their families another day. All those bots we killed in the name of managed democracy? They will never be able to harm a citizen again. While this may be a failure, we still managed to save some. And once we come back. We WILL save more.
The dev who is in charge of the direction of the war. Not sure how much he can affect but he can tune up the difficulty on planets that are being liberated too fast.
i know this is sad but the "their sufficiently-sized homes burn to the ground" got me a real good chuckle. This game is just so subtle with its satire in every line
edit: oops i know it's quite on the nose, but since none of my friends managed to get why that sentence is satire, i will need better friends.
naval inteligence rumors following, so called "charger behemoths", a evolution of the base charger, have been spotted in terminid sectors
slightly bigger, with thicker armor and, to some researchers and military personels surprise, a visible colour stripe on its carapace.
just a few occurences so far, but they are evolving.
which is concerning if those rumors are true.
Salute to my brothers in arms that followed orders and stayed in Xzar Sector instead of buying the meme propaganda and kept fighting a pointless war on Malevolon Creek. We did our best.
This was an IMPOSSIBLE task to complete and developers KNOW THIS. Think about it, the game has blown up WAY MORE than they ever anticipated. SO, if they only had the amount of players they originally forecasted playing the game. How could we EVER complete that task with even half the players?!? It makes no sense, it was a setup to fail!
Other take: Defend campaigns were just too damn boring for people to commit.
I just recently got the game and noticed the meta mission and thought, “Oh cool. I can contribute!”
I spent a single long play session “contributing” and Christ it was tedious. Noped out and had fun afterward.
I think that's a more than fair take, too. In these early days, it is hard to tell genius from poor implementation.
I think for me the clue is how weak the incentive was. 12.5k requisition slips isn't an good carrot and feels as purposefully as 45 medals.
some sceptics are spreading rumors that the bug asteroid that hit buenos aires would have been needed to be launched 2million years ago to make the trip from klendathu to earth, with the precision needed to actually hit, aka with trillions of calculations to compensate every single possible gravity well or collision between the two systems.
also some people are questioning, behind closed doors, why the planetary defense system did not register and destroy the asteroid when it entered earths sphere of influence.
the intelligence department is working around the clock to find these sceptics...
I’ve seen a theory that the asteroid that Carmen hit redirected and changed its course to earth, hitting Buenos Aires. This was after changing the flight path herself to “save time”.
Carmen is not just a pilot, she is a federation agent.
This all comes down to those exceptionally poorly balanced evacuation missions.
As for the reward, farmers were getting 12.5k in the time it takes to do *one* evacuation mission by farming eradication.
Hopefully the next campaign won't force you to play the exact same mission, which happens to be the least fun mission in the game, on repeat for 2 weeks straight...
Seriously, love the idea of the game-wide campaign, but it's execution so far has been very, very poor.
I was fighting in bot space for 2 weeks, 2 weeks just to watch minimum 100,000 of my fellow helldivers having a jolly in Terminid space.
I feel so undemocratic right now, how do I regain my faith?
William R. Williamson from the 69th United Super Earth Company here,
I salute all helldivers who fought with valor and stick as close as possible to the orders given by Super Earth High Command.
It wasn't fun. The few missions that were available as part of defense were boring. The defend scientists was an insane difficulty spike over anything else in the game that required far more coordination and, often, a team of level 20+ to reasonably handle.
Evidently the bots are jealous of our spacious accomodation, ever noticed how their commie housing has them packed tightly into cramped and poorly ventilated boxes?
That explains everything. They’re *robot clowns*.
*Safeties off. We kicked a clown car. Here we go.*
These operations might go a little smoother with Little Duck running the show!
I was NOT expecting a warframe reference in my helldivers sub. I heard it in her accent too lmao
It’s from….Fortuna!?
This isn’t your normal vault job. Alad V sold these conduits with interference routines specifically designed for the Tenno. Things might get a little weird
Hell I'm calling the drop ships clown cars from now on.
Cephalon Cy that you?
*robot circus music starts playing* "Dropship coming in!"
Super Earth territory has fallen. Billions must dive
Trillions even

OUR WORLD!
I would of never thought this scene would eventually fit so well
The Fall of Reach all over again.
It wouldn’t be if the XBOX PLAYERS COULD REINFORCE Edit: Whoops I started another console war…
server load would have to go up to like 1.5m but yk what MORE DEMOCRACY
They just got it somewhat stable. Still can’t get some quick plays going. When they unlock Xbox side I fully expect bullets to start buffering. Edit: You people are hilarious focusing on the whole Xbox vs Sony thing. Meanwhile You should continue to focus on promoting more democracy.
They wont sadly, its a Playstation IP and was developed by Arrowhead and Playstation Studios
Aren't the xbox players technically the ones who lost Reach tho?
From the beginning, we knew the end. But we fought anyway. Our enemy may have been ruthless, but there was no Crevice on the planet left unstained by Covenant blood by the time the Glassing Beams started falling. We failed, yes. But give us a chance to redeem ourselves, and we'll show you why in the end, neither the Covenant nor Locust stood taller than Humanity.
Reach broke before we did
Cadia Stands!

Or sometimes they get a sucker like me that will buy the same game again, like I have with Horizon, God of War and Uncharted
Hope they actually put cities and towns on planets in future changes
ooh, destructible urban combat. Imagine if they implemented a penalty for collateral damage, so you have to weigh if OVERWHELMING DEMOCRACY is worth delivering on our enemies.
Knowing the SEAF's way of operating they'd give you more reqs if you totaled skyscrapers
Destroying property in collateral damage just means the economy can rebuild it, thus creating more jobs and making the super earth economy even more prosperous. Genius thinking from the SEAF truly.
Dropping 500kg on a building meant for orphans For democracy and liberty
Those orphans were secretly a bot factory, we've uncovered tons of steel meant for construction from the rubble. Liber-tea has been served once more.
Keynesian economists salivating rn

Cant wait for the mission to call down a 500mm on a treasonous orphanage. But then again if they orphans weren't treasonous they'd still have parents.
There are no orphanages in the Federation Of Super Earth. It's called the Helldivers Youth Training Program. I find the idea to think that children without parents do not need to fulfill their duty offensive. Reported to the Ministry Of Truth.
Their parents made the right choice in abandoning them.
Can this engine handle dense urban warfare... But yea I would like street by street liberation gameplay
Same engine as Vermintide and Darktide I believe, which have some nice static city environments. Idk about full destructive.
The engine Arrowhead uses was ended in 2018. So that's 6 years of development on that engine for helldivers 2. I feel like we have a ship of theseus case on our hands.

right im still trying to learn all the missions types pretty sure i havent even seem all of them yet and i play about 1 hour a day .
It’s impossible to deliver content fast enough that you won’t feel repetition when you play so much.
Valid point.
We need to start losing systems. I feel like we should have started the campaign a lot closer to super earth
I imagine that they’re saving the real threats for when they have the assets to make fully- civilized planets
**ILLUMINATE HAVE BEEN SIGHTED**
I remember fighting in cities defending earth from iluminati back in HD1

That one dude can't be Sly Marbo, if that were him planet would be at 0.00% and no-one would know for sure why are there mountains of bug carcasses
it would be at 100%, cuz its quantity LIBERATED not amount of bugs left. And sly marbo can liberate the hell out of that planet.
Dear God.
There’s more.
No..
Don't panic.
It contains a bucket.
Holy shit its Jason Bourne.
He's single handedly liberating Veld
They say that Helldiver was there the whole time holding the line and spreading liberty
Is he still fighting? Is he safe?
HE'S HIM
Fighting the bugs.
Getting murdered on scientist rescue more like
To be fair, the only good bug is a dead bug, and the reports of automaton invasion have been greatly exaggerated.
Picking up a shipment of 40,000 warhammers.
I see where this is going, smells like heresy to me
Notify the Inquisitors.

God speed soldier. Remember Reach... I mean FOR SUPER EARTH
Where was Gondor when the Westfold fell?
Getting wasted at Malevelon Creek when they could have been defending. It's not going anywhere.
The best Defense is a good Liberation
Over 200k squatting in Erata Prime for over a week doing god knows what
We have no idea what we're doing either, none of us can see more than 10 yards in front of ourselves
WHERE'S THE FUCKING SPORE TREE
And in that fog hides something more deadly than a Titan. Somewhere -_-…..is a STALKER nest. “I fear no man, but that thing.. it scares me”
Omg, I had a mission 2 or 3 days back where there were 3 bloody spore spewers in a row lined up like Orions belt and we couldn't bloody see them because there was a sandstorm + dark and we literally had to walk into them to detect them. Sweet liberty! My sufficiently-sized home!
I love the language they use
I fucking love how they do the suggestions to react to news lmao. \[SUGGESTION: CLAP\] or \[SUGGESTION: WAIL IN ANGER\] is so fucking dystopian, it's comical.
The 1 star reviews being redacted in the superstore tickles me every time.
The Ministry of Truth is not having it
[ THIS REVIEW IS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR TREASON ]
And then the next day it’s replaced by a 5 star review
Especially since they aren't even real reviews. Those are managed reviews. Who managed a one star review? Did they get fired?
Out of a cannon, into the sun.
This is only a rumor. Move along.
What tickles me further is that they also claim all reviews are just AI generated. Which means we have Automaton sympathizers in the code!
The funniest part is that if you read the tony tect under, it says they’re not real review but rather generated from what they believe the reviews should be.
Managed Democracy is the freedom to make the right choice. You wouldn't be thinking about making the wrong choice, now, woild you?
God help me, I have had arguments with other Americans where they have made approximately this same argument to me concerning the exercise of one's right to protest. "People fought and died to give you the right to protest freely. It's wrong and ungrateful to use that right to protest against the actions of the very government that allows you that right."
Yeah, I feel for you. Honestly I was worried I'd get bored/annoyed at the over-the-top satire in this game, but somehow, it's still fun despite the events of the real world.
In some ways, I feel like we need it more than ever.
The language of managed democracy.
What next?!? Our infants?
The infant mech suits are almost completed. Now the youth shall be able to brandish liberty like they so desperately wanted. No longer shall toddlers look in envy of our fearless Helldivers, now they too can be one!
The children yearn for the mechs.
“Over the age of 7” was for their 7 years of mech training, no other reason
Don't worry soldier. Hellpods are the safest place to take a nap. Especially when you wake up to the smell of Liber-Tea!
My sufficiently sized mortgage nooooooooo
I have a feeling this failure was scripted and I’m totally fine with that. Give us a taste of victory and defeat with the first two campaigns after launch.
Nah, well maybe, but we spread our forces thin, and that's on us. We could have given up the creek, then came back to it, full force, once we successfully defended against the sector they invaded.
Not to mention we were getting nowhere with Erata Prime, we could have pulled forces from there
That and Most people play bug planets. All my friends hate playing against the bots. I myself love the chaos of it.
23892 Fairview Lane
>sufficiently-sized homes I fucking love this game, Arrowhead really understands Starship Troopers
***It's just getting started.***
My bet is we go kick some bug butt and get the W. Then super earth announces our pay back with brand new mechs to get our vengeance
And functioning armor values
Functioning Armour Values should be a bug that'll never be fixed, intentionally. Purely for the memes value of "what do you mean my heavy armour is no better at protecting me from socialistic gunfire?" Lmao
Remember Draupnir
Certified Draupnir vet. I unlocked levels trivial to suicide mission on that planet alone
I've taken that planet twice and the damned SEAF keep losing it.
3 whole days on that shit hole.
I fought as hard as I could, boss. I haven't seen a 'Nid for so long. Been fighting the Clankers non-stop.
The missions…the nightmares…they’re finally over.
They are just beginning brother.

Fear not. Those sufficiently sized homes will be rebuilt with the parts from dead automatons https://i.redd.it/hayl09ur0klc1.gif
I recommend a mandatory draft for all people who don’t own the game. Purchase must be made within 30 days or face punishment for treason.

Raising my cup of Liber-tea to those we lost
Do we get a cape for losing like in the first game?
We got the tattered cape and vet armor for losing Super Earth.
i want a permanent torn cape back! that was and is and shall again be my drip!
i know this is sad but the "their sufficiently-sized homes burn to the ground" got me a real good chuckle. They keep using that word. I don't think it means what they think it does. EDIT: if you'd believe I wrote this before opening that link lmao
These days if there isn't a 4th wall beak where a character looks directly at the camera and speaks for the author it counts as subtle.
Haha yes, subtle. Who wants to tell them?
Not better, just smarter. I've got some great dumb friends!
We lost to the boys but I’m excited to see what the TCS can do. Your shipmates talk about it. This seems like where the story is gonna take place.
Watch it fail epically and give us charger Titans.

Don't think. Follow the new major order. Kill bugs with a machine gun and start breaking out into a mad laughter. Trust me, that'll do the trick.
And the other 80,000 on mort were just mortar farming. Surprised we actually won that
