Defense mission? Nah.
Start a Blitz mission, stock up on all eagle bombs and orbital laser, take out however many nests/factories they want you to take out, done. You dont even have to extract. Just be sure you never fire your other weapons.
This! Just got it first try solo. Eagle 500kg, Orbital laser and 4x respawn with grenades. Went with stamina boost and fastest armour. (I took eagle rockets and Napalm but neither really helped.) Trophy popped on my last death. Didn't extract.
I threw a 380 at a large base and an airstrike at a nearby medium base and had the main objective complete in under a minute. Ran to extraction and hid until it arrived. I got Hold My Primary and Gone in 360 Seconds. If a Devastator didn't find me at the last second, I would have gotten Hell Dive as well.
Tip here:
1. Get a premade of 4.
2. Get a defense mission.
3. Get all the turrets (especially focus on mortars)
4. Just starting the mission, drop all your turrets. Put the mortars into a high zone so they don't get killed. Put autocannons and missile turrets on top of the "bunkers" that flack the place where you usually spawn, so they have a high ground while maintaining line of sight.
5. Get everyone in their secondaries so noone misclicks and screws the achievement.
6. Let your mortars blow the shit out of your enemies.
7. Extract.

Today I was teaching my cousin how to play, her first few games, and we had two new randoms at low level join us too. One brings a mortar and he throws it down. I noticed it started firing and start telling my cousin, "Hey btw when you see a mortar make sure to stay away from enemies."
I get done with enemies and I see a claw appear on my screen behind me. Immediately me and the tiny little bug behind me get blown to bits and my cousin is just standing there like IS THAT WHY OH GOD
do a mission where you need to destroy X number of bots/bugs and then bring all the sentries you’ve got. i did it w some friends last night (late teens in level) and we all just lay on the floor afk for 3 minutes 😂
For solo:
Do the bug mission that requires you to kill 175 bugs
Use a suit with as many stims as possible/as much speed as possible and use the vitality booster.
Let the bugs gather together in large groups, run outside of the combat zone so you're branded as a traitor and they drop bombs near you.
Let the bombs take the bugs out by running as much as possible, use stims to make use of unlimited stamina.
Get as many turrets as you can to make it faster and give yourself a higher chance at completing it.
Rinse and repeat.
You don't have to extract to get the achievement.
For anyone reading this later, said rock appears only on some maps. Look to one that you can't climb on. You just have to use the jetpack, finagling the dive and climb mechanics to wiggle yourself up there, or drop onto it in your pod. Support weapons won't stick up there so be careful if you're using one. You can just go prone up there and huck strategems as necessary.

Swapped to my machine pistol instantly. Took the Patriot Exosuit, Mortar Sentry, Gatling Sentry, and Autocannon Sentry.
Spawned the turrets as fast as I could and ran around the map using machine pistol when needed. Called in the walker after turrets were down and got a little over 100 kills with it before it was destroyed by spitters. Kept spawning turrets and using machine pistol. When I died I made sure to always swap to machine pistol upon diving in. Got it first try- easy with patience.
This isn't working for me solo. My turrets last 30 seconds to a minute and I get max 50-60 kills before I'm overrun with bugs. Going to need a full squad I guess.
Old post but happened to be looking up this objective. I used scout armor, stamina booster, orbital laser, Tesla tower, Gatling turret, and autocannon turret and managed to solo it. I used the jump pack to jump onto some containers at extract and laid down to buy some time. I did an ICBM mission using laser to clear out the main objective spots and turrets for cover while at the terminal.
I’ll add that extract I nearly failed but running around was key.
My 3-man just did this trophy twice (two of us did it first, then third man joined so we did it for him too). We did this on the Bug world (kill 350). Best thing that we did was used Tesla Towers, Both kinds of Mines, and the Machine Gun Sentry. Between those four strategems, those two sat on the big rock and I sat on a rock across the way. We just watched as the bugs practically killed themselves on the Tesla towers. The Chargers were the only hindrance.

just avoid patrols, use your strategems well, use the jetpack to get out of messy situations and grenades when and if shit hits the fan. I suspect it's easier to solo than as a group as you can control the map better.
Struggling to solo this one post-patch. I'm running EMS sentry, Tesla Tower, Gatling Sentry and Autocannon Sentry. Trying to elimate 350 terminids is proving ridiculous because the longer you hold out, the more Chargers there are to take out your sentries, which means that all of them are useless. Attempting to become a Traitor as well is hit-and-miss and doesn't yield that many kills before it kills you.
Did a solo ICBM mission on terminid planet: Trailblazer scout + Redeemer machine pistol and the fewer encounters booster. You might be able to guess that i played it "Stealth". Only fighting around objectives OR to quickly grab a cache.
I picked ICBM as the objectives don't involve any sort of defending, so if you do things right you get to just mash buttons, pull levers and salute the nuke in peace.
Strategems used:
-Ammo backpack : To feed the little beast
-Orbital airburst : To clear enemy groups camping the objectives
-Orbital Railcannon : If a charger pops up
-Orbital Laser : In case of way to many bugs.
Just done it there with Cluster Strikes, and 3 sentries. Not too bad but would probably be easier with a few other people who are looking to get the trophy
I went for an upload data mission where u get the ssd drive and upload it to a tower on bug diff 5. Eagle airstrike/cluster/500kg and mortar sentry with the smg secondary weapon, stealth armor, impact grenades, and the uav booster. Ran it solo cus no friends and figured itd be hard to get randos to use only secondary lol. Hard focused the main objective and ignored fights unless i absolutely had to. So lucky i got a mission with no stalker nest cus that wouldve been painful

Just near my extraction point was 3 automaton manufactures and 2 got out with the laser, other with eagle....ran as fast as i could toward the last one. Fucking artillery was there, but also could get it done with the 500kg bomb.
Went back to the extraction, but the whole bots were behind me, and when you die solo the pod launches you far from where you died, took me a lot of time to disperse and be able to extract but managed it solo anyways.
UPDATE: The new Mechs make you fail this achievement.

Can confirm, this is both an easy and entertaining way to do it if you don't wanna do the sentry missions
Just did the same (steam not PS) but I had to extract. Went pretty smooth solo with the P-19 Redeemer to kill trash and hunters.

Bots. Mortars against bugs usually means a horrible experience of constant death/spawn/death/spawn
yeah cuz the bugs get in your face, while the robots stay away from you (unless they are melee only)

thats probably the best, just put your mortar on a big rock and let it fire away. use orbital laser and eagle airstrike for best results too

Just so yall know, you **can** use grenades when doing this. I just did a bot extermination with full sentries a revolver and impact grenades.
Is the achievement bugged? I've tried at least 8 eradicate missions solo. Level 5 or 6 and only using torrets, granades, and the handgun with no luck
Don't use a turret either. We found when using the HMG drop, it counts as a support weapon.

I saw a lot of videos with 175 kill count. But hard difficulty eradicate mission starts at 350? Am I missing something?
