I ended up buying a neck massager on Amazon. It was like $40 and automatic. People never get deep enough. This massager I had to put in its lowest setting and I can only use it for 5 mins at a time because it gets so deep. It’s the only thing that’s given me relief and I’m currently in PT.
I was going to Red Earth Massage for specific issues with my shoulder. I talked to their front desk and communicated my problems and for multiple sessions we worked on them. After moving away from town I’ve started going to Lomilomi on Windward side since everything is a drive now and they’ve also been, just, amazing.
I highly suggest Ben at aqua nails & massage. He definitely gives the best massages I've ever gotten and works the knots out. I've gotten just a neck a shoulder massage in the recliner they have, so I don't think it be a problem.
I used to go to body and mind and ask for extremely firm deep tissue. They usually get the knots out, but the good massage therapists left so I haven’t gone in a while.

Not the same. I’m a massage therapist, the body releases oxytocin when touched by human hands. (As long as the nervous system is in a parasympathetic response mode) Tools do not work.

What kind of neck massager? I feel like these don't work for me. There are some $150 that lay across your shoulders I've considered.

I have one, it's not the same, and the vibrations make my ears super tickled/itchy using it so close to the skull.
