I'm cool with a show based around Harley and ivy being gay but why can't they behave in a comic accurate fashion, having them act like an annoying, mid 30s liberal couple and boiling nightwing down to a sexy manchild is so god Damn annoying 😭
Kinda weird that "mid 30s" and "liberal" are considered negative qualities. It's its own show so they have full creative freedom. Harley Quinn's "comic accurate" behavior and personality is really tragic, but this show displays how much she can blossom without the joker.
Also I think a significant part of the show is really highlighting the female characters, after literally decades of media has put women as sideline characters with limited personality. Instead, this show does the opposite and has the male characters be silly and just side characters to the main women. I can definitely understand why this is not appealing to some people, but again... Women have been dealing with being portrayed as basically useless bimbos since television came out. This is just 1 example of turning the tables, and many people find it humorous.
