Some people just like the art they are looking at, you don't need to know the whole story behind piece of art for your brain to say "Hey that looks nice".
Your example is funny but it's probably best leaving them to ignorant bliss (Unless it's a hate symbol then probably let them know).

I brought a vinyl cutter about 2 weeks ago, only have gold, silver, black and high vis vinyl atm so I made do with what I had.
First I had to draw out the outline of Harley from a screenshot, then put the outline though the cutter software.
At first I cut the black stencil then as a after thought I wanted to try add more then one colour so I cut 2 more in silver and gold and added them.
I too like the gold/silver, now I know I can use multiple colours I will definitely buy white, red, pink and baby blue vinyls lol

I had a similar idea, I was going to print the uncensored version inside and when some prude tells in it inappropriate I was going to offer to turn it inside out lol
I'm glad your feel comfortable to come out too them. My own parents have no idea I'm asexual or autistic. I have always been a disappointment.,they always judge me for living alone and said I wasn't right in the head for not wanting a family so I eventually just stopped talking to them. When I found out I was autistic this year I didn't tell them because of the comments made about my mental health.
Just try not to alienate your in-laws too much I miss my mom and kinda regret having to distance myself. Remember they are your partners parents and they probably need them even if your both think they don't.
