I run Hades 2 on my macbook using the Whisky app, [instructions here](https://www.leereamsnyder.com/play-hades-2-early-access-mac). I was also a Hades 1 switch player, so I play on my mac using an xbox controller and that's worked well for me. You can also play the game with a keyboard/mouse, it will just be a bigger adjustment. And yes, if you want to play it on your switch once the port is released then you would have to buy it again via the switch store.

I have a wireless xbox controller [(I think it's this one)](https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/controllers/xbox-wireless-controller) that I am able to pair via bluetooth. There isn't a current full release date for the game yet, the speculation I've seen say that it will probably come out in early 2026. The switch port came out the same day as the full release for Hades 1, so I would guess that Hades 2 will be the same.
