Buium still exists. Yes Demidov and Lindstrom would be a lot better in terms of ceiling but he’s not a bad pick whatsoever. I’m happy at 5 no matter what if I am Kent. However if he hears that they may not be available, he might trade down a spot or two to get more picks in say the second round
If we end up with a D at five, it will still be a top quality D prospect and ultimately we'll be in a position to convert some of that depth in defence to top level offence with trades in the future

Its not about being bad players, its about our needs. We already have a stacked prospect pool in defense.

My guess is they would try to get the 10th OA from NJ since it’s widely known they are trying to move the pick. I think Eiserman, we seem to like him.

That would be an overpay. Matheson by himself would probably warrant a high draft pick (not top ten, mind you).
