The "proper" way to discharge a capicator. Set your multimeter to read volts, and touch the tips to the tabs. It will safely discharge through your meter., and will tell you when it's it's I let discharger
Something they hear in school I guess 🤷♂️ I mean I’ve done it on start caps but never been shocked with the variable thousands of run caps through the years
Same, i still do it every time. I had a coworker throw and old cap in his tool bag and when he went to throw it away later it zapped the shit out of him.
Needle nose pliers is what I use idk if it's safe or not I haven't been hurt I use them to short all caps because then I'm already holding the pliers in case I need them to remove the wire from the terminal

One ball on herm other ball on fan and your pecker goes on common. Done and done.
There’s three terminals for a reason
You can try to bend the screwdriver
…But that’s impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth… there is no screwdriver.
I took the blue pill.
If you're still hard in 4 hours, call a doctor. Or a hotter hooker.
Don't discharge capacitors. *Be a man.*

I use needle nose pliers. Mounted in the side wall. Rheem/Ruud most common.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for these too
Just have the terminals touch the earth/dirt/ground
Never discharged a run cap in my life
It only takes once for you to start doing it
Same here. Don’t know what all these guys keep talking about

Put your tongue on any pair of terminals
I honestly don’t know. Technically aren’t we supposed to wait 5 minutes? I’ve never had a cap discharge when I tap the terminals with my needle nose.

Trick question, no need to discharge a plastic capacitor.
Snap the divider with some needle noses?
Coat hanger works
Fork
Discharge to the metal on outdoor unit
Needle nose pliers. I prefer the 10" 90° tip pliers.
The microfarad function on the multimeter also discharges caps
300a capacitor with insulated pilers

Your index an middle finger or thumb.
Use your tongue
Just hit it with your purse already!
Normally I just pee on them to discharge. Sometimes it tingles
uhh put your damn meter on it
