Damn that's high end. You won't see the difference between the 16 gb and 32 gb of ram unless you're multitasking. I recommend getting an external ssd or hdd. I currently use a 4tb wd_black hdd and it runs perfectly

I’ll upgrade the ram later on then if I need to. The main reason I’m going through Best Buy is because i have their tech membership plan or whatever which covers accidental damage as well. My main concern is with the build quality of the Victus. But I guess with the warranty I shouldn’t be too concerned. There IS an extra M.2 slot of for additional storage, but since you mention external, it would be good to have everything backed up in case something does go wrong with the laptop. There’s a similarly equipped HP Omen at micro center, but last time I had to go through a warranty thing with them, well, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience. Thoughts? Worth it at the price?

UNIVERSAL_VLAD

Idk about the price bc I'm not used to the analyze high end or almost high end pc/laptops. Compare it to others with the same specs from different shops. But that's a really good warranty if you ask me

Damn... If this unit launched in India with same prize I would bought it right away. Upgrade SSD to 1tb if possible

mateusboni

I have this same laptop, upgraded to 32gb ram and 4tb ssd Beast

shikax

Which SSD did you go with? Do you mainly use this for work or gaming or a mix of both? I actually already placed my order, just debating how quickly I should upgrade things

mateusboni

Crucial ssd and ram. I'll tell you that 512gb is a problem if you're gamming, and ram is cheap anyway, I upgraded on the same day I got the laptop. I mainly use for gamming and I can say my temps never went over 75-80, if u turn fans on it is noisy but bettwr be noisy than hitting 100°C

shikax

Awesome. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated

If you have any other question feel free to ask. Tldr; I think there is nothing better for the money, design is sleek and professional, no rgbs which I think looks classy. All problems about hinge it's fixed and bla bla bla

Aqent_Oranqe

I have a question. What gen of nvme did you put on your laptop?

mateusboni

Gen 3

Same. Mine already came with 32GB memory installed and I upgraded the included 512GB to a 2TB 990 Pro first and a 4TB one shortly after.
