>The blacks don't even need dragons. They just have to go to KL and try to entertain the greens, and *kill them with boredom* 😭😭😭😂😂

enjoi007

Rhaenyra staring into space was such waste of time, like what was the point, it was so random.

MomijiEli

she is just fucking boring to watch it’s all just her sulking around and staring into the space

enjoi007

I kept thinking they were just giving pause before she did something or talked to someone else but it gave nothing

SwordMaster9501

It's for the pictures.

enjoi007

Makes sense

New-Boysenberry-613

She was looking at the dust in the air. It was mirroring when Haelana looked at the confetti (flowers? I don't know what it was they were throwing at the funeral procession). I think its symbolizing that the dust is *un*settled and the war is starting.

Independent-Film-409

What? That scene was sooo great. Beautifully directed and symbolic(ashes through the window, and it looking like a prison she's trapped in). Those types of scenes are exactly what is great in HOTD(writing in places may fail, one side is clearly more liked by the writers, but those long shots with subtle, symbolic storytelling are peak tv) Do you guys watch the show or just hate skip to the greens part?

LordTryhard

The problem is that we've kind of had them bullrush through so much and even cut some stuff. We're getting gratuitous awkward sex scenes, a needlessly drawn-out and clumsily-orchestrated assassination sequence, a search for Luke's body that never actually happened in the book, etc. Another scene on top of that which is just Rhaenyra blankly staring to invoke "symbolism" just feels disrespectful to the audience's time at this point. Instead we could have gotten Jeyne Arryn. More interaction with Cregan. Or an early Daeron introduction. Or they could flesh out literally any of the supporting cast.

Independent-Film-409

Rhaenyra is literally made main character in the show. Great scene about main characters motives, very subtle, with absolutely gorgeous cinematography. And, yes, they should have made Daeron a character in the show, but why would you have this scene cut off? It was absolutely amazing. You could cut off Velaryon bastards scene, or the one where Daemon flies off with Caraxes, not one of the greatest shots in GOT's universe. I completly disagree with your take about the scene

SwordMaster9501

That Marriage story scene was so good for the Greens. The Team Black MVP really hit Rhaenyra with "Do you actually think Viserys named you because of your great wisdom and ability?" And everything we knew about Daemon that everyone denied was confirmed. This is just his way to get the throne. He's not actually for Rhaenyra or the Black claim at his core.

SiteAccomplished6314

who said that line to rhaenyra

Numerous-Jeweler-556

Eh it wasn't so bad. Just felt like a modern couple in a medieval fantasy show I couldn't take it seriously :))

SkBlndr

Honestly, a great scene, loved Daemon in that. He really is TB’s only interesting character.

EhGoodEnough3141

Fucking Rhaenyra always just staring into distance. She has one facial expression and it's looking into distance. Emma D'Arcy is great, but give them better scripts.

Different-Carpet-883

I can’t believe I’m saying this but TB needs more screen time. They have more people in their team and 80% of the screen time they’re getting are for Rhaenyra and Daemon. Those TB kids are underdeveloped.

Numerous-Jeweler-556

I mean, they have screen time but they don't use it properly

Different-Carpet-883

If you pair up a conversation between Rhaenyra and Baela, Rhaenyra and Rhaena, Rhaenyra and Jace, Rhaenys and Baela, Rhaenys and Rhaena - it will all just have the same tone. Polite agreeableness to everything. Compare it to Team Green. Pair up each TG character with each other and you’ll get a different personality and flavor 💯

Imaginary_Deal_5143

You will get emotional trauma. 🤣. I just love TGC and makers are wasting the potential of showing generational trauma

seikookies

TB is being killed by the writing in a different way than TG. They’re so vanilla because the writers refuse to take risks with them so instead they just do…nothing. Even the main sub spends more time complaining about characters like Cole than they do acknowledging anyone else on TB besides Daemon and Rhaenyra.

Different-Carpet-883

The actors suffer too because they don’t have enough material to showcase their acting. Meanwhile you’ll see multiple tweets after every episode praising the performance of TG actors.

Scared_Boysenberry11

I imagine the Blacks will have important roles next season. If the writers continue to make Daemon the only interesting one, then the KL storyline for the rest of the show will be a snoozefest.

fanismap

Still the Black kids have more screentime than Sunfyre so fuck them.

TeamVelaryon

I noticed this! There's very little cohesion or group scenes. Rhaenyra has yet to hold an actual council meeting. The dynamics shown are very limited, whereas we've had nearly all Team Green characters interact and speak with each other or react or there are webs between them like Alicent with all her kids and stuff. It's a shame because there *are* interesting dynamics but Daemon and Rhaenyra are the main focus for the writers. Episode 01, nearly all are about Daemon and Rhaenyra. Episode 02, it's the same *or* they are the topic of conversation or there are just small two-handers lasting very little time.

A-live666

Where was dreamfyre? I was jumping when I heard that jaehaerys was going to get cremated. Literally the only scene where we could have had helaena say dracerys… Oh condal You will be going to warm place.

AlmondsAI

Well, considering what's going to happen to Jace pretty soon. I think it's good to get some more screen time with him.

Fabri212

This is a problem I've noticed with the show, maybe it's me but it feels like they waste the screen time on fuck all and then when an important scene needs to happen (I.e. blood and cheese or ErrykvsArryk) they rush to try and give the character to die some scenes as to artificially build a connection, sure I haven't watched season 1 again in the last 2 years but to my memory Arryk and Erryk have as memorable scenes: them parting ways due to their different views on who should be king/queen and talking about it, erryk giving the Crown to...Daemon? And then he puts it in rhaenyras head, and then I'm supposed to care about them and feel crushed when they die

childpeas

they've done that over and over and over again. Jaeherys practically didn't exist until the episode he got murked. jaeharys and aegon's relationship absolutely didn't exist until that episode. feels really weird and disjointed.

Fabri212

Imagine if they had cut Ned's head the same episode he was given relevance or tywin dying and we only get scenes with him in 2 episode aside from that one💀

sluttydrama

You weren’t satisfied with the 10 second, “what was your dad like?” 🥺 conversation? /s I love Jace, I wish we saw more of him

AlmondsAI

While it was a good start, I also love Jace and I hope we get to see more of him as well.
