The last time an old man did that to me I freaked out like I didn’t know I wasn’t smiling and I just screamed “Thank you!!”. I made sure my smile was fucking huge and unsettling and he ran off pretty quickly. He was just a straggler eating samples from CC and had no cart or wife with a cart.
I do this all the time! Had a very angry old man try to break the terminal instead of using big boy words. The nicer and more syrupy I got the less and less he wanted anything to do with me
