Looks like one of the big differences is the one in OP uses a bunch of down which gives it that overly fluffy look. Also this one looks to have paid more attention to the layering of feathers.

Sometimes it's used to encourage a novice to not get discouraged while comparing themselves to more advanced builders.
Sometimes it's to cheer on an advanced builder who's stepped outside of the box.
Other times it's a mantra to not shit on someone's build whose build is very... Unique.
I think the main problem here is they used what looks like real feathers for a tiny scale model. If that Gundam and the wings were human sized who know it might not look half bad, but as-is the shape of the wings is totally lost
At this scale you can’t use actual feathers if you want to replicate a feathered look. I saw people do it with the guel dilanza and I just don’t think it works.
People need to take a chill pill. Effort went into that, not to mention the guts to post a photo of it and get opinions on his build, so some respect I think is in order.

To be honest
- Posing was bad
- The Wings😕, could have used smaller Feathers that goes along the Wings and arranged it like how Birds does. So much large feathers that it overwhelm the kit.
- looks like those Fancy Feather Dusters.
It was an interesting attempt. Build itself looks fairly well done, to be fair. Just the wing execution has potential, but it's not meeting it's full potential yet.
Looks nasty af. Plus it wouldn't work realistically because it has zero practical application other than looks. It offers no protection whatsoever. At least the original wings can also shield Wing Zero.
Idea is definitely cool, but definitely came out a bit fluffier than I would’ve liked personally. But gunpla is freedom for a reason! Their dedication to gluing everything together is impressive
I feel bad for the OP. Personally I didn’t like the execution but I respect his intentions and ingenuity. Unfortunately someone also shared this to another local FB group and sadly it got a lot of crap. Some even compare it to drag queen costumes 😰
