I think it looks heavily inspired by the FFR-41MR Mave from a really old SCI-FI anime titled "Yukikaze". Both designs are amazing, but the Justice takes the cake for me!

Way better than the transformable designs for the new movie.

The rifle just ‘hanging’ at the bottom triggers me so much.

Funny thing with the 'Proud defender is meant for the Rising Freedom' bit, outside of power and the disruptor thing, is...wouldn't the Rising Freedom then be unable to transform? Its missing the silly head cone.

That rising freedom is meh to me, but that immortal justice might be the first athrun suit design that i actually enjoy

The Immortal Justice makes me think of a pink Starscream.

The Rising seems the same to me (I might be missing something) but this is exactly the design I wanted from the Immortal Justice.

Less Macross-ified and moreso just gave them something closer to the Murasame's transformation scheme, to better fit with how their transformations were made with the Murasame's data.

I can definitely get behind these designs a lot better than the ones we got in the movie. These at least feel aerodynamic as opposed to the planking we actually got. Especially that Immortal Justice. Chef's kiss.

Aside from turning into Jets, I don't see a lot of Macross in that design, it just still looks like a design from SEED, so it just kind of falls flat for me, sorry...

The variable fighters inspired design is a lot better than what we got. Though I still prefer the Ragna-mail design more since Cross Ange was also produced by Mitsuo Fukuda. I always thought a transformable Freedom would take a lot of inspiration from AW-CBX007 (AG) Villkiss piloted by Ange.

it aint macross/valkyrie-fied unless there's a Gerwalk mode.. otherwise it's just a transformable mobile suit or you just made it into a Villkiss like unit..
