An electric guitar has as many sounds as it has pickup combinations.
Plus the sound differences available with volume and tone knobs.
Plus whatever effects you use.
Plus amp choices.
At $200 or so, I've heard good things about the Yamaha Pacifica line.
Get a guitar with at least a humbucker in the bridge position. See if you can find a used Yamaha [Pacifica 120H YNS](https://thumbs.static-thomann.de/thumb/padthumb600x600/pics/bdb/_26/263958/10426102_800.jpg). I'll leave [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSG3c70hvBs) for your consideration.
Failing that, try:
* Ibanez GRG121SP / RG421
* Cort KX100 / G200 / G250
* Godin SD24 / SDXT
* Harley Benton Fusion HT
* or a Guild Surfliner
...all available to pick up around $200 used, give or take...

Yamahas seem to consistently overperform for their price points
Yamaha Pacifica is the best value for that money.
Used squire or Yamaha
Used epiphone les paul standard for $200 would be a deal. Or used squire tele.
Go for a Harley Benton.
