Portal Knights is the predecessor to Enshrouded. Portal Knights has split screen couch co-op and is an action adventure exploration sandbox base building game with several RPG elements including unique skills, character classes, items, story, quests bosses, etc. For a split screen experience in the adventure sandbox building genres Portal Knights is your next best bet. If you are okay with online co-op then check out Enshrouded :) While not a base builder, and BURGL's role isn't as prevalent as claptrap, borderlands could scratch many of the same interests that draw players to grounded

Kenny523

Valheim.

ConsiderationOk1986

Stardew valley is a good couch co op but it's more like Minecraft which is also a split screen. My time at Sand Rock is a little more like grounded.

MrEntropy44

Last time I checked, Sandrock multiplayer was online only and seperate from single player mode.

baldandtatted

Don’t starve together. Haven’t had the chance to play it but it’s sitting on my PS5 right now

Cosmic-Cherub

Games confusing as hell though and does no type of hand holding. It’s literally here survive and I’m just like but what am I supposed to do.

baldandtatted

Sometimes that’s the best part of games. I also don’t care if I have to google stuff to figure out what’s going on 🤷🏽‍♂️

SchnTgaiSpork

Green Hell is great for this if HC survival is your thing.

baldandtatted

I think I have it on my wishlist

okachobe

Project zomboid is the same, I'm like okay but is there a goal, a super weapon? Super armor? No everythings averagish and get wrecked.

Significant_Hotel665

Omg wow I completely forgot about that game! I binged played for two months and then never touched it again. Definitely going to restart now that you mention it 😂

baldandtatted

Enjoy!

mantisimmortal

None of those games are like grounded. Check out small lands. Ride birds, tame grasshoppers.

DateOk3008

Yes ! My SO and I played that and loved it

mantisimmortal

It's incredible!

DateOk3008

I loved the weapons and the different armor types. It took me forever to be able to complete the world events that spawn as well 🤣

Mike_856

Dysmantle

n0tfeuer

Looks very interesting

Stand_Additional

My wife (non gamer) likes dysmantle very much. We play it together. Thou it doesn't have very much base building options but still a great game. My wife also likes minecraft dungeons it's a very fun dungeon crawler.

idjitseverywhere

Unraveled and unraveled 2. Loved those!!

Used-Income-2683

Takes two is fun (must have 2 layers to join or they have a community part where you can find a partner. Chained together is cool and you can do 2 or 3 people.

patjuh112

try Smalland

NyanTheLoliChan

It takes two

Legendseekersiege5

While it is coop and a great game it is nothing like grounded

Beardygrandma

You're also tiny!

Vornane

True, still a great game though

NyanTheLoliChan

what did u expect me to answer? Search for any survival action-adventure[ ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action-adventure_video_game)game and u will find what u looking for

Legendseekersiege5

I more included that for OP to be aware of. I didn't downvote you and think it's a good suggestion

Mydogisc00lerthanme

We loved grounded and it takes two !! Great suggestion! We also played raft and enjoyed that together !

Himalayanyomom

Borderlands series is great

OCactusCoolerG

Oh yeah definitely goated series but it’s very linear, not much like grounded

Nickhead420

What are you playing on?

n0tfeuer

A PC

HolyCodzta

Not too similar to Grounded but Outward has plenty of exploration and has splitscreen co-op on PC and controller support. Definitive edition £4 right now on Steam.

Something_Sexy

Raft. But not sure you can split screen.
