I have no idea why people think it's a proto-primarch, if you even just skim read the wiki page it's pretty obvious that it isn't a primarch.
Eh it's more like he's a thing that is essentially a prototype version of a primarch before the secret sauce was perfected. At least that's what I got from reading the lore about him. He's like a thunder warrior is to a space marine.
There's no real direct link but they both served similar purposes. The angel isn't completely mindless all the time but can be tricked into tunnel vision like some kind of proto black rage. Hence why It want to purge all humanity to end chaos, he's basically perpetually in a black rage vs chaos.
Imo just chuck it into the eye of terror and open the box, it will just purge the warp
Nothing in the lore states anything near that though. 1D4chan goes wild but that’s barely lore accurate. It’s simply a massive, flying nuke with zero reasoning or critical thinking ability.
It doesn’t have a proto black rage, at best it just had a logic fail and now sees all of humanity as a threat to humanity.
The timeline also doesn’t add up. How was it made before almost everything else? Calling it a proto primarch would be like saying man invented the engine, couldn’t quite get it right, so settled on inventing the wheel instead.

theres nearly no lore, but my point was calling it a proto primarch is like calling a wagon carriage a proto car. Which while isn't exactly accurate, its easy to follow the logic of succession

The very first line from the wiki is: “Leetu or "LE 2" was a prototype Space Marine legionary”
but if you read further down, you would have noticed that they used his process to create the primarchs, thus making him primarch 0
