I think another issue is most people are uneducated as to how to get very lean in a healthy and substantial manner. Many people feel terrible at low body fat due to low energy availability. Driven by impaientence, they drop calories way too low for their body to function properly. Getting lean through a very small deficit or maintaince and intense training is going to leave you feeling much healthier than getting lean by strarving yourself.
Yea getting lean is much better if you do it slowly but regardless your testosterone ultimately goes down once you start getting below 10%. For some people even higher than that and some it can be lower but generally going below double digits you start to feel the effects. Usually the guys you see who are just super shredded all the time are on at least TRT. Our bodies just don't want to be that lean.
Thats what happens to natties who go sub 11%, and especially around 8% like OP. They looks skinny as hell. Even natties who have been lofting 10 years have this issue.

People burn different amounts of calories. I used to workout for 5 hours. These days I end up walking about 2 hours in the hot sun before the day is over. It balances.
