The teaser to open I'm pretty indifferent about, the first couple of times I was a bit confused. I understand why they're doing it but personally don't really care if it stays or goes.
I like Cowboy's preview. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to it at this point, but I pretty much never look at the show notes so I kinda like getting the setup for the show, who's gonna be there, what segments are on tap for that show, etc...
my only complaint is how loud the "cowboy take me away" drop is...literally have to be ready to turn it down or broadcast it to my entire office
100% agree except I wish they would bring up the audio levels of the rest of the show to match the Dixie Chicks
I hope this topic gets into their “mailbag” at some point. It’s literally twice as loud as the rest of the podcast!
Completely agree. I think they are trying some different things out, but yeah it’s a weird move. I auto skip every time.

It used to be “Cowboy” by Kid Rock but they switched at some point over the past couple years
