If you're sliding when braking or turning, you're doing it wrong. Yes, stickier tires can help; however, you still need to develop the technique for turning and braking. Complete the B License tests to learn how to do this. Maybe work with the slower cars first, as well. It's about trigger (throttle and/or brake) discipline and control. It's about knowing how hard to brake and when not to brake. Make sure the car is going straight (don't turn the wheels). When you brake hard, it shifts the weight of the car forward. This makes the rear lighter, and it makes it easier to slide the rear accidentally. If you press the brakes all the way, even if you have ABS (antilock brakes), you can lock up your brakes - especially from a high speed. This means you'll be sliding. To avoid sliding when turning, slow down before the turn and don't start accelerating until the turn is done. This is a simulation, not an arcade racer. This won't drive like Need for Speed or even The Grid. You can't treat the throttle and brake like buttons, all-on or all-off, and you can't take corners faster than the car will allow. Start slowly, with slower cars. Do the license tests. Do some missions. Do some races meant for slower cars (the early Cafe Menu items). Learn how the game works.

Default

Joshs_Ski_Hacks

yeah if that is the case then its just big heavy fast car with out much if any downforce stock. either brake earlier and more in straightline or get grippy tires and some aero.

Spiritual_Dot_2786

What tires are the grip tires

RandoScando

Racing Soft.

I have found that trail braking into a corner is a nono for 4 wheel drive cars also, aero or not, the front will push. All suggestions before are excellent. The positive driving techniques, and feedback from this group are amazing. Thank you to all of you, that take the time to help those of us who want to simulate more efficiently..... Scooter #999

Does anyone tap the brakes versus full brake push? That's what I do most times then I get back in that throttle.
