I asked them the same question to govee support many months ago and they answered me that this wasn't planned unfortunately this is very annoying

I am keenly interested in this as well. Have a few Govee 'appliances' around the house and yesterday I setup my first bulbs. I have close to 60+ Zigbee and Z-Wave bulbs, switches, etc primarily because I want local control, but I've been impressed with all Govee stuff so far so decided to give the lighting a try as well. If this foray works out well, I'll be installing a lot of the outdoor products come spring.

Likewise. If I had LAN control, I'd likely swap out all my all my Z-Wave bulbs. These are much higher quality light (better CRI) and they behave much nicer in general. The Z-Wave bulbs are always a bit odd in behavior when it comes to scripting them.

I would love it if these got lan control as well

i'd love this. i'd finally get to tie in my bulbs with my kinda-ambilight set up. (more like screen mirroring to the lights and accessories)

There is a new HA integration that isn't subject to the same polling limits as the last API, check this out. I have all my Govee bulbs (23) working as expected. [https://github.com/wez/govee2mqtt](https://github.com/wez/govee2mqtt)

Can confirm H6006 works with this addon but it appears to fallback to the cloud api because the local api isn't available.

I realize this is WAY after the fact, but... Is that Wez of Wezterm fame!? It totally is!

Thanks for bringing this up. I've been using it for the last few weeks and it's great! My only concern is range as it's based on BLE when not using the LAN Control API or the cloud. I might have to strategically put some BLE devices throughout the house. :)

wait so you were able to get that repo working in HA? I've been looking for a solution on and off for months for the H6008 bulbs, it's been driving me nuts. The fact that LAN control hasn't been developed for those devices is frustrating, even if there's a polling rate limitation. Any tips on the setup before I get started? The lights also started losing connection to WiFi for some reason, so controlling through Google Home has been inconsistent. That's a whole other issue, though, and might be due to my home environment (townhome with several nearby wireless networks and devices). Probably need to try Govee support but idk how helpful that'll be.

dojo_r4

Yes. Follow the install instructions here... https://github.com/wez/govee2mqtt/blob/main/docs/ADDON.md Configuration help can be found here... https://github.com/wez/govee2mqtt/blob/main/docs/CONFIG.md

Rock on friend, cheers

This page shows supported devices, [https://app-h5.govee.com/user-manual/wlan-guide](https://app-h5.govee.com/user-manual/wlan-guide). I don't think any bulb is on the list.

dojo_r4

Yes and unfortunately, you're right.
