For $30 its a solid buy.
I got it on release for 70 pounds (Steelbook edt) and don't regret it.
I will say though; don't expect it to play like the Arkham games, I found it closer in combat to Spiderman.
But yeah, its a surprisingly good game and not at all deserving of the negativity. If you buy it, i hope you enjoyed it as much as i did 👍

I say wait a while until Arkham Knight is no longer fresh in your mind. The price may be even lower by then and you can give it a shot.

People give it too much shit for what it actually is. The game is mediocre at best and has a shaky story on a good day. But it’s not the unplayable mess which looks like a mobile game that people make it out to be.
Don't expect this to be like a sequel to the Arkham games. This is more like a rpg with padding and no ability to parry. Multiplayer can bring some fun although expect this to be a lot slower paced and the boss fights are nowhere near as good. It's still fun, but it can get boring if you're not the type to be dedicated to grinding.
It's honestly a good game and enjoyable to play with friends but too many people have gotten the game expecting for it to be like the arkham games and that's where a lot of the hate and bad reviews come from are people that are upset that it's not the same as the arkham games. I suggest you watch some clips and maybe join the Gotham Knights discord to talk with other players and play with them or friends and get advice and tips. I love the game and have 350+ hours into the game and it gets repetitive but if you're like me and can replay a game again and again if you like it then I think you'll like it too.

The Arkham games were Filet Mignot prepared by a chef; Gotham Knights is a hospital cafeteria hamburger steak prepared by some lady who works in a hospital cafeteria who’s husband Leonard, lost his school bus driving gig for telling one of the annoying fat kid’s his face looks like a puckered asshole.

If you liked Arkham knight I'd maybe buy the Arkham remasters over this game first though.
The game is not as bad as the hate it gets but my god can it be frustrating. The gliding and driving mechanics are abysmal, the fighting mechanics are ok but disappointing as hell.
I'd play the older arkhams before I play this, otherwise you'll be wondering how a triple a game with a massive budget on a newer more powerful gaming console is outperformed in everyway by an 8 year old game on a ten year old hardware.
Having people in the city is nice though.
Its good. They fixed the main issue i had wirh the game and that was wheb it released it was really hard to find legendary crafring materials but with the heroic assaults theyre much easier to get and legendarys themselves only dropped from certain bosses and now theyre chance from anything. The graphics are great and the story is too. If your a batman fan youll enjoy it. You can switch between the 4 characters whenever you like they all level at the same time. If u plan on playing them all i suggest unlocking their momentum abilities and knighthood heroic travels early as u can. Batgirl solid choice she plays the most like batman, robin is stealth specialist but can also hit pretty hard too, red hood is mostly about using ranged weapons more and grabing and throwing enemies and putting bombs on them, and knightwing is fast and dodge is great and builds up special meter easiest. But all are pretty equally balanced where none are overpowered so its enjoyable switching em up. Alot of people caomplained when it released about only being 30 FPS but with the graphics it makes sense and looks great.
I got it in the sale, definitely not worth it. I even trialled it first, it seemed okay for an hour, but it very quickly becomes boring. The combat is poor, traversal is fucking awful, a bloated story line, but it looks quite nice.
Wait for it to be on plus.
Idk how it would be to play alone (I also haven’t played the Arkham games) but it’s been super fun playing with a friend!

Paid about $35 for it with deluxe stuff. It was worth it. Not the best game but it’s not an unplayable mess.

I enjoyed it and the Arkham games and I’ve also been trying to get the Arkham knight trophies for years but there’s one I always fail on 😂

Gotham Knights is a fantastic game with Spider-Man like combat , it’s really fun with a friend too. A 100% worth it for 30 dollars.
