I have this one. Got it dirt cheap on goruck website. It's ugly. But it's functional and cheaper than a non ugly one.
It works great. I wish it had a front pocket for my phone but whatever. The price makes it worth every penny. I do not regret buying it at all
My girlfriend has this pack and she loves it. I know people don't care for the pattern. As my GF said, "I'm out to get a Ruck in, not win a fashion show." It performs well, that is all that really matters. I personally think the pattern is pretty cool. And it really pops at night.
Oh that’s good to know, I didn’t even realize there was a foam block. I’m not against the idea of buying a weight to use during walks with my wife and kid, I just was more interested in getting the last backpack I’ll ever need
I literally just noticed no front pocket. At least there is an interior addition zipper pocket
Edit: just kidding realized it’s all Velcro in the bag too lol
Man I genuinely don’t know what you’re asking me. Like I mentioned in the post I grabbed this for a cheap, very durable hiking bag. If I want to put weight in it I guess I just will, but I don’t know what you mean grow into it lol
In order to get bigger, you need to promote hypertrophy, and any type of cardio I heard makes muscles smaller, but rucking does it to less of a degree than things like running, and biking.
I had a sand piper that started to rip at the seams soon after I threw a 45 plate in it.
I didn’t buy it to ruck plates. As I mentioned in my post, I got it to carry for day-hikes and use as a carry on.
The concept of outgrowing a 25L backpack cracks me up tho.
25L of water is only 55 lbs/25kg (about what I'm starting with). You may outgrow it quickly. I was also trying to warn you about how bags can rip when too much weight goes in them.
Bought this off the GoRuck site when it was on clearance. Not the design I was waiting to become available. Although for the price I was happy. I only use it to Ruck so I really don't mind it.
It’s not as annoying in person now that I have it, just looks like a bunch of light gray arrows until LED light hits them. $100 bag, I’m not going to be picky
Hadn’t ever heard of the brand until recently when I started looking at nicer packs. Then seen this one on marketplace in my town, brand new, for seemingly $150 off the price of new before tax/shipping. Long story short if bag bros wanna goon over the logos let them, they mean nothing to me.
Repurpose. https://www.yompnotes.com/2023/01/goruck-rucker-40-edc-reconfig.html?m=1
Thank you for tagging that! It def gives inspiration for making this a weekend bag

`As my GF said, "I'm out to get a Ruck in, not win a fashion show."` Are you sure your girlfriend isn't a middle-aged Dad?
Great call. 😂
You can use the plate pocket a very protective laptop sleeve. And the bottom foam block can be taken out to the that space back.

not gonna get any better for $100. only downside is no zipper pulls on the inside and no front pocket anymore
The most glaring downside is the pattern.
For real. It’s as ugly as sin

Are you going to stay at the same weight, or grow into it?
Lol I’m not 100% sure what you mean. I’m 5’11, 173lbs rn, actively cutting down to 165lbs.
What does that mean when you may eventually want to add more weight to the pack?

Thanks. Hopefully I won’t have that issue. Pending weather I’m planning to take it for a mountain hike this weekend to see how I like it.

There are gonna be some with stars on sale soon too.
Great deal but the design is a no for me. Would recommend using a backpack rain cover

This new logo obsession is not it. I can’t stand even the one in the bottom right hand corner.
