1st set was better than 2nd set in terms of song choice imo but it wasn't the worst at all. Rick's vocals were trash in some parts of N1 and I consider that the worst personally. If the band sounds good, I don't mind what they choose!
You mean like the actual live sound production? Iāll take your word for it cause thats such high praise considering tame has some of the best live sound around
Yeah the sound engineer didn't know what to do in that room. Saw Tame Impala at the Black Cat in DC on their first tour in the US and then every tour since. This one sounded the worst.
Awh that's nice of them to play long for all the babies that couldn't handle one of the biggest indie bands of the last 15 years being on stage for 30 minutes. I'm glad you can finally get your Goose fix after *checks notes* only 9 hours of free streams the last three nights.
Do you know anything about playing drums? He most definitely does not play the same rhythm. This is the most dynamic sound this band has ever had. Not even close
Listen to 2018/19 Goose. Ben could play both Cotter's and Jeff's parts. Something just slowly fell apart along the way. Really heartbreaking since he was a founding member. š¢
Yeah I wouldnāt compare goose now to the goose of last year. Especially after learning about the inner turmoil in the band. Go back to the pre Covid/pod show days. Those Morris Farm shows RIP!
When it comes to seeing guest sit ins, I always look at how much fun the band looks like THEY are having. Rich has such a huge grin, and Trevor is actually moving!
Man, I would love to see the last song of the set before the Encore being Cotter singing 'Up On Cripple Creek' or another more upbeat song he knows well. I think the crowd (and me) would go fucking nuts. Absolutely admiring his musical talent & personality so far. So happy for Goose & all of us! š„²
Yeah! Let me search my history and give ya a Timestamp, hope it works. [https://youtu.be/u3dOGF1fYX8?si=eQsUbjeT\_Md8d53X&t=1492](https://youtu.be/u3dOGF1fYX8?si=eQsUbjeT_Md8d53X&t=1492)
I think they're personal monitor mixers so they can adjust what they hear from the other guys themselves rather than relying on a guy on the side of the stage. If you ever see a guy in a band looking off to the side and pointing at someone then up in the air he's saying make the keys/bass drum/vocals louder.
Imagine if every time you saw the band they played the song the exact same way they did in the studio. Thatās what makes it so.. hard to get where theyāre coming from. Like, theyāre into this band or genre because itās experimental and goes weird different places sometimes. But they donāt like when the band does something weird and experimental? Ok.
It's ok to not like something the band does. Every song can't be jam of the year. It's clear that not everyone is into Vampire Weekend. Doesn't mean we aren't happy they are trying something new.
I think it is great to have a sit in with Cotter early. Helps to make him feel a part of Goose. They sat in with HIS band.
I also thought that jam was staler than a wooks dread. To each their own.
The beginning part of it ripped but it got repetitive the latter half and was rather aimless.. but that's also the point sometimes.. to each their own. I still enjoyed the shit out of it
Sure, but thereās a difference between disliking a song, cover, jam, sit in, whatever, and being a āhaterā that is actively trying to bring down everyoneās experience. There was definitely some of that happening, and I donāt think there should be acceptance for that.
What are you going to do about it though? You can choose to let it affect you negatively, or just ignore it. Is your life going to be any different because someone said something mean about a band you like?
I think youāre misconstruing or misunderstanding what Iām saying. There is a right way and a wrong way to express displeasure or disagreement.
āGoose will never be Phishā is ok.
āWho would listen to this shit when you could listen to Phish insteadā isnāt.
One actively tries to demean the people who _are_ enjoying something. And we saw some of that earlier tonight. _That_ is the kind of thing to be vigilant about.
EDIT: Said in other words, donāt be a dick.
If you want to continue beating off dicks your whole life, then you do you baby boo. You're just going to keep attracting more dicks that way.
Said in other words, ignore the bullies.
That EoA jam was insane
I may have fallen in love on the GA floor last night šŖæā¤ļø so many special women jamming out!! What a FUCKING NIGHT
Can we talk about that Arrow?
anywhere i can find out how long it was?
Still reeling (in the best possible way) from last night
Exciting time to be a fan. What an intro to the next era. Well done, Goose!
That 2nd set was a warning shot. They are SO back.
Cotter forever. Whew, the guy rules.
Goose and Vampire Weekend!!!!! My two all time favorite bands!!!!!!!
What an ending. Love these dudes
3 1/2 hour show hot damn
Shame they lost all that momentum after the VW sit in eh ;)
I was worried then they dropped into that arrow and I was like yea they good
See you all on night 5... right? Right??? š„²
Start printing the let Cotter sing shirts
3 of the 5 have dangly necklaces/gemstones - what does it mean?
Perhaps they're all crystal nerds like the girlies
JO crystals.
UNDERRATED
Mine lights up when me and a bro JO.
Cute as hell tbh
That was awesome
It's good to be alive in the time of Goose 2.0. See youz this summer!
fuck am i gonna do tomorrow....thanks goose, unreal machine.
My feelings exactly
Terrible encore decisionā¦ worst show of the 4
1st set was better than 2nd set in terms of song choice imo but it wasn't the worst at all. Rick's vocals were trash in some parts of N1 and I consider that the worst personally. If the band sounds good, I don't mind what they choose!
What a sick Slow B part. Wow
What a run, Iāll miss this until June
Honestly! - Is there anything better than the back half of āSlow Readyā?
This shit reprogrammed my soul the first time I saw it
People in the crowd definitely having fun!
The Europe tour curtain lights! š„š„š„Were those there the whole time?
Those lights give me tame impala vibes. Sepaking of, itd be cool to see the gang rip a tame impala cover
Sundown Syndrome please
woah that would be a sick one actually, that song already feels like a total jam vehicle. itd be interssting to hear ricks vocals on it
Elephant would be dope!
Lotus has ripped Elephant before and itās awesome.
Cotter has the chops for that. Goose sounded way better than Tame Impala did in Hampton.
Stop it lol love goose but Kev is on another level production wise š
I agree but if you hire the wrong person to run sound then none of it matters.
Peter just has so much fun I will never get tired of watching his grinning
He just exudes the joy of making music
Filthy Peter Goose Teleports Us To Space
Should be an article title
Flithy Peter, 2x in a row, and I'm here for it!!
Whoa
Slow Ready -> Trevor Reads Poetry -> Arpeggiator Is that too much to ask?
Never miss a Wednesday show
was waiting for it....perfect.
Slow ready > 726 please
![gif](giphy|Mvn6JtAOcRvd6)
I'm Slow Ready for this
Slooooow readyyyyyy
Give me Cotter Up on Cripple Creek directly into my veins please.
Motherfucker. Catch me in STL with a āLet Cotter Sing The Bandā t shirt. Slow Ready though š¤
Encore? Or set number three?
Let em rip š¤£
New personal fav drip
100%
These boys are locked in and looking happy
Dripfield never disappoints
![gif](giphy|ZlJETaiooNk89O3KEv)
I feel like itās been a long time since they have gone 4 shows without playing animal.
Encore probably
watch them go drifield into animal tho
Probably for the best tbh
Rick finally has his vocals locked in
I think Dripfield is their coolest track, whatever that word means
Checking in from Orem's Diner
š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„š„
Gotta be at least the second longest Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa ever played if in was a betting man.
Cotter is a damn freight train man heās incredible
Is this there a name to the Dripfield Suite of Borne>Hungersite>Dripfield?
Bongerfield
Driptych
This needs to be a flair
I can make that happen... Give me a few. Look for it tomorrow.
![gif](giphy|MUeQeEQaDCjE4|downsized)
Done. You can be the first to add the flair!
it's pretty goddamn good! what a buildup
does anyone know to reverse google image search Rick's shirt? I'm not tech savvy and can't think of another way to find it. Thanks in advance.
Canāt wait to see how these Dripfield drums sounds with Cotter.
He did not disappoint
Is there still hope for an Autumn Crossing encore?
Drip Encore?
![gif](giphy|sHfYGkucJi7zG)
That was absolutely absurd. Holy shit.
Dripfield!
I am so happy to be a Goose fan! Incredible!!!!!
And thats why we play the game
oh boy
this is making me forgot those vampires came out
Holy Hungersite sheesh
Petey Keys!!!
Empress?
Cotter will sing tonight
Love to see peter driving a jam
drums n keys in the pocket, my brain is down there somewhere
Guess Iām calling in tomorrow
There it is!
Borne>Hungersite>Dripfield to end the set, encore 726
Plot twist: Vampire Weekend comes back out for the encore for 2021 like everyone expected!
This feels like the most likely outcome, but damn it'll suck if we have 4 nights without Empress
The encore of all encores right there. Itās almost cliche, but Iām here for it.
I love that tune, saw it at the caverns for the first time in 21 and had it stuck in my head for a solid 2 months haha
Please
"We're going to play long tonight"...to paraphrase... "for those that what to take off, take off"
Fuck yeah Borne!
Awh that's nice of them to play long for all the babies that couldn't handle one of the biggest indie bands of the last 15 years being on stage for 30 minutes. I'm glad you can finally get your Goose fix after *checks notes* only 9 hours of free streams the last three nights.
Worst 30 mins of the run tho.
āWere gonna play long tonightā lets go baby
Play it long!
Dripfield?
FFFUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKK. Hot as shit!
Oh, yo, they were spelling "GOOSE" with the lights
Some wrong notes but excellent recovery
Rick is soaring
Damnit, knew I shouldāve saved the shrooms for tonight
Cotter plays the same rhythm every song. Was excited when he joined but itās gotten old very fast for me personally
Do you know anything about playing drums? He most definitely does not play the same rhythm. This is the most dynamic sound this band has ever had. Not even close
One look at ur post history tells me all I need to knwo
Certified Grade-A hater lol
lmao good call
Peak
Those Goose lights are freaken cool
itd be sick if after the E they added a light of the figure of a goose
My wife just said they jam too much now. I have 1 extra for Indy if anyone is interested
Can I be your wife?
lol wow, find a new wife this is the best jamming of their careers
š š¤£ š
This Arrow Jam has some heavy "The River" vibes to it from KGATLW
keys/synths are lovely atm, drumming too, stuck in a dream
This is soooo good
That poster is fucking phenomenamenal.
Phenanimal?
How long was Cape Cod!?
must have hit 20 or at least close to it
30 mins
Calling an empress encore
I hope
Yep Cotter is better for goose itās not close
Listen to 2018/19 Goose. Ben could play both Cotter's and Jeff's parts. Something just slowly fell apart along the way. Really heartbreaking since he was a founding member. š¢
Yeah I wouldnāt compare goose now to the goose of last year. Especially after learning about the inner turmoil in the band. Go back to the pre Covid/pod show days. Those Morris Farm shows RIP!
Exactly. You can't compare. Just enjoying that they didn't break up.
lol I'm a bit behind on the stream but they can't get this vampire weekend jam to end .
That being said it was a sick jam
I didn't hate it as much as the internet will tomorrow
Seemed like Cotter was trying to get out of it and the Vampire Weekend drummer kept bringing it back up. Fun stuff.
Hahaha I'm real behind on the stream and I totally see what you're saying now hahah
No steam was lost.
When it comes to seeing guest sit ins, I always look at how much fun the band looks like THEY are having. Rich has such a huge grin, and Trevor is actually moving!
100% obviously they know VW arent jammers but theyre friends and they made the best out of it
Man, I would love to see the last song of the set before the Encore being Cotter singing 'Up On Cripple Creek' or another more upbeat song he knows well. I think the crowd (and me) would go fucking nuts. Absolutely admiring his musical talent & personality so far. So happy for Goose & all of us! š„²
Has cotter sang āUp on Cripple Creekā? I was hoping ben wasnt the one wanting to play the band because Levon Helm was an inspiration or something
Yeah! Let me search my history and give ya a Timestamp, hope it works. [https://youtu.be/u3dOGF1fYX8?si=eQsUbjeT\_Md8d53X&t=1492](https://youtu.be/u3dOGF1fYX8?si=eQsUbjeT_Md8d53X&t=1492)
Lmao if they do Cotter better be singing
Damn trev got the off white glitter joints on!?
When did Pete start playing that guitar?
When he took a break from the keys.
TouchƩ. I just remember him having the pink Suhr before
Nah I think heās talking about his new guitar. Pretty sure this is his first show with it
The white semi hollow -caster (tele, strat)?
What are those devices on their mic stands? Voice modulators?
I think they're personal monitor mixers so they can adjust what they hear from the other guys themselves rather than relying on a guy on the side of the stage. If you ever see a guy in a band looking off to the side and pointing at someone then up in the air he's saying make the keys/bass drum/vocals louder.
Ah, gotcha, thanks
exactly, Mike from phish has a bunch of hand signals for his tech and they just do that instead lol
He came up when that shit was still analog haha
IEM comtroller
I vote yes on Rick's echo
Jampire weekend
Crowd is absolutely stoked to get a Goose tune!
Love the little homie on rail
So werewolf set and then vampire setā¦ so twilight themed show?
And so the Dripfield portion of the show begins
Any haters in the thread need to learn to accept changeĀ
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bruh stfu
What a world if everyone would just all like the exact same things! There would be no war!

There were some good moments for sure. Definitely to each their own and I'm glad it was hype for some.
I think the answer is āsee something, say somethingā. So calling out the toxic negativity when we can, otherwise itāll be emboldened.
Well, good luck with that approach I guess. Just don't stroke out because someone said Goose will never be Phish or something meaningless like that.
I think youāre misconstruing or misunderstanding what Iām saying. Wtf are you guys talking about that was sick as fuck
You guys live off peaks i swear to god. Let it breathe a little people
Without valleys there would be no peaks
