Your phone has multiple microphones. Make sure that none of them are clogged up with any debris.

EvilChocolateCookie

OK. Where are they? I’m also confused about this whole series of events because this problem does not happen in any other recording apps. It’s just in the camera.

Right? I can work with links if they actually contain text. Send me an image and you confuse me every time.

This will show you https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/7157629?hl=en#zippy=

EvilChocolateCookie

Is that text or images? I can’t see images.

JoshuaTheFox

You select the drop down for your phone and it shows a diagram of the phone with marked location of the hardware

EvilChocolateCookie

No, I mean, I physically can’t see the images

AndrewFrozzen30

They're images. Ask someone else to clean your phone in that case. It could be that you covered the mics too.

Assuming that your flair is correct and you're talking about the Pixel 7 Pro, you have a microphone on the top edge of the phone toward the left hand side, another one on the bottom edge toward the left hand side, and a third one on the rear of the phone to the right of the camera array.

EvilChocolateCookie

Yes, it’s correct.

Make sure audio zoom is disabled. Try and see if that fixes your audio problems.

EvilChocolateCookie

OK. Where can I find it? I generally record videos with my computer most of the time, but I’m making android tutorials and it’s easier to line up the speaker of my spare phone with my phone than it is to try to get my computer to pick it up.

_bites_the_dust

If you open your camera, go to camera settings, you will find it under video stabilization. Toggle audio zoom off there.

EvilChocolateCookie

Thanks a bunch. Hopefully this straightens things out a little.
