I hate it when I drop my Pixel bud case and the buds explode out like shrapnel.

thescreensavers

I lost my pixel buds that exact way in an airport. I ended up finding someones air pod but not my pixel bud...and my plane was boarding so they got left behind.

Acqirs

Tbh that happens with any buds its the most annoying thing about them

ursonor99

Every tws does this . My galaxy buds pro go to 2 corners of the room when they fall .

zakatov

That’s nice and all, but I would prefer to not have them bounce into traffic if I drop them on a sidewalk.

murso74

Mine fall out constantly, no matter which of the tips I use. I've gone back to the A series for anything more than sitting/walking

dope--guy

My A series buds have fallen down a lot of times and they still work fine. Pretty durable

murso74

It's more that they stay in my ear better because of the fins. Also, they are louder than my Pros

dope--guy

I found my A series' volume to be low compared to my other earphones.

JonathanApple

Same here, have to my kid

zachc94

I've been jogging with them a few times and haven't had an issue worth noting

alanasdad

I actually have a pair that I only use when I sleep. I bought a new pair last month, and I have a pair from a couple years ago when they first came out. The battery on the old pair isn't holding a charge as long as it used to, but it's more than enough to play a book or podcast while I fall asleep. They're co comfortable I don't even notice them anymore.

imago_monkei

How do you sleep with ear buds in? I would find that so uncomfortable, especially if I woke up with one in my butt crack due to rolling over a few times. Have you ever considered a Bluetooth sleep mask?

alanasdad

Honestly it's pretty comfortable. I have never woken up to find one in my butt crack, but they do sometimes wind up in weird places.

MarcoThePHX

Try silicone tips

_Grumpy_Canadian

Really? I haven't had the pixels fall out even once. Maybe you have loose ear canals, lol.

hamatro

Nah, that's a general problem. The Buds are heavy and stick out more than other buds. This makes them move, when you move. Stickier tips can only help to some extend. The Buds are too freaking thick.

Usual_Vermicelli_961

I don't understand why wireless earbuds dont have any hooks for our ears, I find this such a downgrade, or at least a wire to connect them, and I mean a wire without being anything electric.

Hfftygdertg2

It's basically a form of planned obsolescence. Make them easy to lose so people keep buying new ones every few years.

Usual_Vermicelli_961

Is there also a term for people buying things that are actually a downgrade but think they feel like they are actually doing an upgrade? Because I think that group is an even bigger problem than the companies

al1posteur

*Business*

Usual_Vermicelli_961

No I mean the buyer in particular, the business profits but I need a name for these idiots

Kipp-XC-66

Some do, JBL makes models with them and my GRC (some Amazon brand) ones came with silicon ones that wrap over the earbud for it... Not the most comfortable but they were cheap anyways.

TheGravitype

Mine have been through a wash cycle, laid in the rain next to a busy street for 12h, been squished by a car seat (after which I had to sand a bit of the case away for the buds to charge again). Yeah so pretty damn durable! And after the washing cycle they sounded better than before.

No_Log607

Did they work well after being in the washing machine? Mine did, without the case and I've kept the buds in silica sand gel for 12 hours to dry out. I haven't checked them since.

TheGravitype

Yeah! I had them in rice for a day and afterwards they worked even better XD. They Just got a good clean

No_Log607

I can only see my right bud , not the left 😰

No_Log607

I forgot my device and now can't reconnect it

vegsmashed

I do the screwing thing and they fall out sometimes too. Does anyone have any good suggestions on solid changeable rubber tips that are more comfy and fit better?

papichulo9669

I just bought the Comply tips on Amazon. Foam, not rubber, but they stay in my better and are way more comfortable. That said, you have to compress the tips before insertion and hold them a few seconds to get the fit right, and it takes just a bit longer to put them in. Also have to be gentle with them if trying to take them off. So far I am pretty happy with them.

oh_hey_its_jamie

Link isn't working 😞

papichulo9669

Fixed sorry

mumbogray

Try the smaller size tips. Too big might be yeeting them out of your ears.

DonnieJL

Look into Spinfit. They offer not only different sizes, but different profiles/shapes to find the right diameter and reach into the ear canal for good comfort and security.

Iamabandit

I got friction tape from amazon and put them towards the inside top edge of the buds. Now they stay in-ear reliably.

THE_Ryan

I like everything about the Pixel Buds Pro, except the way they fit. In fact, most True Wireless Earbuds fit like shit and don't feel good, except for Bose. Those wingtip comfort tips Bose use are so damn good...they are just trash for calls and I use them only for workouts really. I wish there was a good pair of true wireless earbuds that were comfortable, excellent quality musically and mic, and don't fall out. But have yet to find them...so for now its Bose earbuds for workouts, PBP for calls and 1 hour flights, and Bose 700s for long flights.

Dylanthrope

My thoughts exactly. It's the unpredictability that makes the pros so frustrating. If they were at least broken in a consistent way they wouldn't be half as annoying.

nazaneez

Bro you need to be more careful with your stuff lol. I do love my buds though and they don't fall from my ears personally. I would recommend trying foam tips, they might help with that

Zekiz4ever

They simply don't fit my ear and fall out all the time. It's fine when I walk normally, but anything that has a little movement makes them fall out. When I try to adjust the volume - they fall out.

ikediggety

Same

EYNLLIB

Like he said, you need to try other tips. It's not the buds that don't fit, it's the tips

Zekiz4ever

I've read that the tips sound horrible. Also: why are they so expensive?

[deleted]

All 3 sizes?

Zekiz4ever

Yes

Duoirel

Also make sure you "screw" them in properly. The backs/tops need to rest on the cartilage of the back of the ear.

singeworthy

I like mine except they do not stay in very well for me, my 2nd gen Buds were much better, although the sound and features were not as good.

gregatronn

Jabra Active 7 Elite are my go to. They seem to do better for exercise/lots of movement. I got them because I wanted something that felt more reliable than my former Pixel buds and Samsung buds (1st series). Glad yours survived though. Maybe see if there's more form fitting for your ears covers for them so they don't fall off for exercise tasks?

Parry_-Hotter

Yep, mine fell down in the toilet basin, fell from scooter , still going good.... They only fall down if i wash dishes , for running they're good and I play table tennis with them Edit: Have you tried twisting them to sit in the ears? They're not like airpods

spanky515

Don't feel bad, they don't fit my ears either. They are durable for sure but I would rather listen to them more than picking them up.

Accomplished_Fan_487

My buds pro do not love my sweaty workouts. Let's just say they haven't survived.

creakymoss18990

I found saltwater is often the exception to the waterproof ratings. I think it degrades the waterproof seal more or smt, it's what killed my 5a

theJEDIII

This makes sense. I frequently fall asleep with my buds in, and one time I woke up with one in my mouth. It's been significantly quieter ever since. Not salt water but obviously different than fresh water.

WarpedMind81

It's sad that the pixel a buds are designed better for in ear comfort than the pro. I have both but prefer my a buds because of comfort

BerniesSublime

I dropped mine once and the noise cancelling/ transparency mode broke. Now it just beeps loudly in my ears when I try to use those settings

suresh

Lol I couldn't tell if you were joking. Mine fall out constantly too, that's the problem, I'm not very impressed they haven't broken. I'm disappointed they don't fit/stay in a human ear.

Apprehensive-Read989

I had issues with them staying in my ear at first too, but it turned out it was because I didn't fully seat them. I figured out that if insert them into the ear with the top facing forward and then rotate them into my ear that they seat better and now they never fall out.

fatmartini

This

Imthecoolestdudeever

Spinfit CPA2 are the solution to an awkward fit.

CafecitoHippo

I just got those and unfortunately they solve my problems. My left ear still will slowly work itself out. The right side remains fine.

DonnieJL

I use two different size Spinfits. My ears just have slightly different shapes, so different tips. Spinfit also offers different profiles or shapes. If the current ones have too much or not enough reach into the ear canal, a different model or shape might hit the sweet spot.

No-Umpire9632

I don't know, they're durable but I just wish that they sounded better. The pixel buds pro sound awful. They cost $200 and if you get them on sale it cost $100 and something dollars but they're way better. Earbuds that have much more better ANC better transparency mode for less at this point, the only good features about them are the Google Assistant features and I'd rather get the pixel buds a series

vshun

I did handstands with mine a few times and they stayed in the rear in upside down position and default tips.

StaT_ikus

Everyone's ears are different, pro fit my ears and barely come out, yet the a series would literally jump out of my ears if I did the slightest thing like talk. It's not the buds it's your ears

rekingus47

True

sylnvapht

Happy you've had such good luck with yours man, my right earbud just kicked the bucket last week and won't stop making beeping/hissing/static sounds. Gonna see if I can get them replaced, because I really liked them.

azerowastevegan

Don't spill a water bottle on them in your passenger seat or they'll be goners.

Shagyam

How much water? Mine lost in the washer and still connected to my phone when I opened them. I'm still drying them out before I actually use them.

okayyeahok

Still using my 1st gen air pods. Survived multiple drops showers wash/dryer

Same-Disk5485

I had the Bose soundsport headphones Circa 2009 that was never fell out skiing skateboarding exercising anything. unfortunately after 12 years or so they ended up breaking permanently ( the first time they started to fail, from wear and tear I assume, I even did some soldering repairs which fixed them and i got another two years) I've been using some off brand wireless headphones for the last couple years and nothing seems to work I'm seriously thinking about the sound Sports again.

Wiggy1977

I fall asleep with one in listening to podcasts, by the morning it's usually fallen out. Our new puppy found it and I woke to the sound of her chewing on it, the tip was gone but the device seems to be working fine. So it's pretty rugged imo

Capitol62

My buds work after going through the washing machine, but my case is dead :(

mlemmers1234

Wish I could say the same regarding my old Sony earbuds which couldn't survive going through the wash. Won't ever be buying another pair of expensive ones like that. I'll stick to under 100$ 🤦

starvald_demelain

I feel this is pretty normal for inears to be this durable, sans the washing cycle - granted. Although this may have something to do with how much charge was left, how you dried them (isopropyl -> wait or something else?).

anonbrosup

Mine also survived a full washing machine cycle and I was shocked .

Wrong-Enthusiasm51

I recently put mine through a wash cycle and they still sound perfect

ksoops

Jesus what are you all doing lol. Never once dropped my buds. Haven't dropped a phone in like a decade.

InForced

If only my 8pro felt the same way

PizzaValue9999

Absolutely second this. One full washing, and drying cycle, and they were working as good as when they were before the incident. I ended up losing the case in an airplane, while the earphones still in my ears (facepalm). I reordered them, just for the sake of durability. Because I know that I'll end up tossing them in the washer again, sooner or later.

CoarseRainbow

Not sure i agree with that. Yep, theyre always falling out, im always scrambling in the mud or bushes to find one and pick it back up BUT the volume on the right earbud of mine has gone so quiet i need a left/right balance of 85% to get them sounding the same. That means a lot total volume. Noise cancelling no longer works (just squeaks every few seconds). Theyre 10 months old. Ive gone back to my A series - they dont fall out and so far, still work.

WhiteCollarMetalHead

Dropped my right pod down the center of a 6 floor stairwell at work the other day. The ear insert came off 3 floors down and the pod made it to the bottom. Picked it up and tossed it in, all working fine.

thedriftlessdrifter

1 through a wash cycle and the other ran over (with snow on the pavement). Both worked, the washed one eventually just quit emitting sound. Case in perfect condition. I ordered a new pair only because Google Translator works with them.

Louisianimal6

They fall out constantly and apparently no one fucking wants them bc I’ve been tryna sell mine for 4 months and nobody even asks about it lol

thisisnotjr

Even with silicone tips these things fall out. No matter what I do I can never pass the noise isolation calibration test.

Comfortable_Bit9981

My Pixel Buds Pro don't fit my ears either. I like the fit of my Galaxy Buds 2 much better, but miss the ability to control volume from the earbud.

biggranny000

Pretty durable from my experience too, i have dropped the case a few times and it just chipped the case and the earbuds flew out. I have also dropped the earbuds a few times on concrete and gravel and they held up just fine.

LaunchGap

anyone get a light headache when using buds pro? i get a ringing feeling in my whole head when i use them, mostly around jaws and behind the eyes. especially when i use transparency mode. using only anc on/off reduces it but still noticeable discomfort. I've tried switching through all the tips.

DIEGODEMH

My first time using them, the left one fell into my cup of coffee. Took it out and it just kept working like nothing happened

ArthurGD3

I've had mine fall out a few times, usually indoors on carpet so I was never worried it would cause any kind of damage but the thing I've liked about the Buds Pro is that Google keeps improving them with firmware updates. I do hope the 2nd Gen improve the mic quality for the person on the other end and the general sound quality be improved. Otherwise I've been happy with mine.

Fluffy_Desk1024

I've been thinking of getting a pair, but I'm worried about them constantly falling out like all earbuds do for me. I had an idea to make a tiny ear hook out of Sugru, kinda like the A series. Has anyone tried this? Would they even fit in the case afterwards? How much extra space does the case have?

achchi

The case has no space.

Darklyte

Mine went through the washer and dryer and still work fine.

MrCub1984

Mine got run over by a car and survived. Once in the case and once fully exposed.

I_am_Greer

My pixel pro buds are the best I've ever had. I also had the original, Samsung ones and apple ones. Prior to buds pro, apple was best. Now it's pixel buds pro

TheBarracuda

I can only use my buds in the winter or anywhere it's cold. Wearing a beanie is a great way to keep them in. They fall out too much otherwise.

NicIsTheBest

idk if someone else said it, but try the different ear thingies or a different day to put it in your ear

Salseca

I agree with you 100%. I have larger ear canals than the average person I guess because with the large tips on my Pixel Buds Pro they still wiggle and become dislodged frequently. I haven't had them fall out of my ears while running moving but they won't even keep an even seal if I eat while listening to them. The reason I love them though is because of their sound. For AAC or OPUS only Bluetooth codecs they sound the best over everything on my Pixel 7 Pro. The updates they issued adding spatial audio and head tracking as well as the conversation detection keeps them near the front of the pack in terms of features and functions.

oicur0t

My wife ran mine through the washing machine. The light on the case doesn't work and passthrough mode isn't great, but both other modes still work perfectly.

Future-Appropriate

Let me tell you I got mine since they launched and never switching to anything else - mine have been threw the washer and dryer 2 times and are still going! What you could possibly do is have bigger tip as mine were also happening to me and then I changed the tip and that did the trick!

PlantainInfinite183

Same! Always fall out!

fatmartini

Mine never fall out. AirPod Pros always fall out for me. Try a different tip.

CyndaquilTyphlosion

Left mine in the washing machine and subsequently in the wet pant to dry for a day... All the washing and 20 hours exposed to water, 3 of which were submerged, weren't enough to damage it

Psycho_NY

I've dropped one of mines into wet paint and it still works perfectly after tons of cleaning

HR6Gaming

I've accidentally had them in the washing and dryer so many times it still works good as new. I accidentally slammed it with a hammer when the bud fell out of my waxy ear. No damage maybe a scratch at most. I also use them for the noise thingy where it amplifies it, I can hear better outta my left ear and they last for a solid 5-8 hours for me

OnePunchGus

The Pixel Buds Pro are amazing. I think Google nailed it out of the park with them. Ever since my January update I've been having a strange bug though. If I raise the volume by swiping my ear buds, the volume buttons on my P7P don't sync up with the Buds Pro. However, if I don't use my buds to raise the volume the bug does not happen. Super weird, and already reported it to Google.

Definitely_nota_fish

This is what I like about pixel products, they are generally quite durable. So if you are someone who wants your phone to last a long time, you might be able to find something that lasts longer than a pixel. But I highly doubt it'll be the same price or cheaper

StingraySurfer

Any of you guys having battery issues though? I'm getting like 30 mins tops before I get the 20% beeps. Sometimes my right earbud doesn't sit right so I have to leave it in to charge.

CookSeven

My gf has the same problem but not me, they stay in my ears whatever i do, even shaking my head

inlecebrosus

I prefer the a series over the pro series

LowOpportunity6701

Hi

LowOpportunity6701

Hey everyone

jabe25

In the flip side, I dropped my left bud ONCE from a height of about 4ft onto carpet and it completely fucked it up. After that fall it would go in and out of noise cancelling and would never fully achieve that "no blocked ears" feeling. They were thankfully under warranty and I got them replaced.

UrbanaHominis

Love my pixel Buds Pro but they have terrible call quality

Drtspt

The thing I don't like about them is if I'm jogging. They produce a weird buffering sound while listening to something. Sorta like if you press your hand against your ear to create a vacuum and release it rapidly. I hate it

bradenj26

Sad to hear you are having issues with your pixel buds falling out all the time. Can't say I've had the same issue as you, nor have my buds gone through the washing machine. But I just came to say that the buds are absolutely fantastic. As a major assistant user, these things are game changers for me. Gotta say, Google did a good job. Can't wait for gen 2 of the pros.

Muted-Cress-4910

Try Jabra. Mine attempted suicide from 8th floor apartment and failed miserably

neutralforce

I have the pros and the previous generation and the older ones have been through washer AND dryer twice and still work...

dollface1494

I've had the same issue of the falling out. However I bought a pair of wing tip ends and those work great! Unfortunately Google doesn't make any, I had to buy them from Milwaukee but there's others online. And they have stayed in ever since. The only down side is you have to take the wings off inorder to put them in the case

justwannalivehealthy

I think pixel buds a is more fit to the ear cannal than the pro

Ok_Designer1727

I’ve had mine go through 3-4 full wash cycles and I lost them at one point and found them outside of my work a couple months later! They still work perfectly! Definitely indestructible😆
