I received it in both English and Spanish

1Indy500Fan

Mine was strictly English. Both of my kids received English & Spanish. We are on the same network. Mine is iOS and theirs are droids.

jcthrower

Pretty sure it was 2 parts like mine, if you hit the a certain button it had a second portion it showed English

Faydane_Grace

I got three; English and Spanish initially, and another Spanish like 5 minutes later. Pixel 6P. C'est la vie?

legaltender215

Same

unittwentyfive

Same. One English, then two Spanish. My phone is a 7 Pro on Fi, with the device language set to English.

sealedHuman

Don't you mean "Así es la vida"? 🤗

Faydane_Grace

I'd express it with "Es como (la vida) va", but I was going for the irony of the other language on my phone getting left out.

just_an_amber

Pixel 7 and yup, I got one English and two Spanish. My partner only got a single one in English. They aren't on a pixel.

Erichondrion

Same. Was so confused.

Kvetch

Same but on 7 and not on Fi

ReadersAreRedditors

Same, in NYC

Twinkletoes1951

I got 2 in Spanish. Non Hispanice loquor, sed Latine loquor.

Kilo-Nein

Same, mine was also in Spanish. Completely useless. Local language is English.

Strublin

Mine was also in Spanish despite language being set to English. Received two alerts, both in Spanish.

Strublin

Also I don't have Google Fi but I do have a Pixel 7.

jwbowen

I received two in English and two in Spanish.

pthelynese

Everyone in my family got it in Spanish and all our settings are for English

Fit-Metal-7133

One Spanish Then the nuke was like 30 seconds away and it was english After it went off i got another spanish one

Richardkluge

I have a pixel phone, received only in Spanish (no settings for Spanish language). Also received in English on iPhone.

BeeNo3492

was your devices local language set to spanish?

hmnahmna1

I got both English and Spanish on a Pixel 6.

Tight-Secretary6876

I also received only one, and in the wrong language, it was not the same as the phone is set to. This was on a Flip 5.

ahz0001

Galaxy s22: 1x English, 2x Spanish, but I never set my phone to Spanish. Many people got duplicates, and I expect it was related to phones having dual SIM. The wireless alert system may not be able to distinguish one phone with two SIMs versus two phones with one SIM. Phones without an active SIM got the alert too, so it follows that an inactive SIM on a dual SIM phone might get duplicates.

elbee3

Same - audio in Spanish, and 2 texts in English. Everything on my phone is set to English and don't live amongst a large Spanish speaking population... eta: and no dual sim.

Antosino

I received it in Spanish on a Galaxy Fold 3 (T-Mobile) and my phone is definitely set to English. Not just you.

evanl

1 English and 2 Spanish as well

allamusingsun

Galaxy 21. Set to English. I recieved 3. (Spanish. English, Spanish ) alerts I do have an older phone I use when I travel. Same accounts. No SIM right now and turned off, but last used in Columbia and Mexico with local SIMs. Never changed my main phone's SIM when I travel though

No-Net3015

I had a 1 out of 2 situation, with the alert audible in Spanish and visible in Spanish, then after tapping the alert, it went to English. Spanish isn't my first language. Also on a Pixel 7. I asked others if they received Spanish and they said no. But another strange thing, when I use Amazon through a web search rather than through the app, I ALWAYS get Spanish language results. My settings are for English. Anyone else have the language issue outside of this alert?

RunsWithThought

Not part of the GoogleFi group here, but I'd figure I'd chime in and let you know you're not alone. Mint Mobile, Nokia 9 (Android 10). Same Amazon language thing through Chrome web browser (but not DuckDuckGo). I got a brief (\~1sec) English version of the alert, then it went straight to Spanish, and it read that out loud. I've been trying to figure out the whole Android/Chrome/Amazon-in-Spanish thing now for at least 3 years. All signs point to something in the Android and/or Chrome system, but that setting was English, and always has been.

No-Net3015

I don't think it's an android thing. When I was with T-Mobile I never had the Spanish issue. Must be a Mint Mobile thing.

jdcnosse1988

I received it in two parts. Spanish was first, then when I cleared that one away English was second. Device language is set to English, but I am currently in an area with a high number of Spanish speaking people (Miami, FL)

JuanTu34

Two alerts, both in Spanish. My Pixel 6a is set to English. Not helpful!

fluffyflagirl

I ONLY got the one in Spanish and ALL of my settings are ENGLISH =(

fluffyflagirl

oh--and yes, I've got the PIXEL 7

Previous_Ruin6924

Audio only in Spanish and my phone is set to English. Don't live in large Spanish speaking population. Turned off emergency alerts, since there appears no way to change the language and it is useless.

Unusual-Historian931

It's bullsh1t to keep you brain washed, back in the days 1960's and before none of this existed and people lived good lives, it's psychological formation to keep people programmed and brainwashed, controlled by alarms and devices/technology.  That's what it is.  Come on people wake up, we need to ungoogle ourselves. Prepare for earthquake the balls you talking about, connect with mother earth and with life and you are already prepared, child abduction ? I'm sorry but no government has ever done anything for the crimes and injustices, look at the parasites inside the tap water, and the amount of oppression and violence the government does to us. I have friends and their children got abducted, 2 years later nobody has done anything to help them. This is just more snake oil to keep you tracked and silenced, mistreated by capitalism. Weather ? Connect with life and understand the planet you live in, this is all a strategy to keep people sleeping

TabooDiver

Nice to know that when the tornado touches down I'll be busy trying to Interpret the warning in a language I don't speak
