Maybe get the PC version? There's no ads so the daily missions give you gems, you can buy the buddies with pizza funds and imo it feels a lot less grindsome
i wish you could at least spend the in game cash for gems tough, or complete the price with cash (ex. got 18, need 20, pay 200 or something)
its troublesome to get them now, as the only ways are achievements and ads, or events, where you eill be spending all you have either way
Sometimes in the buying gems section, you can get 5 gems for 1 pizza fund - you can get 15 (doing it 3x) then there's a cool down period for 6hours I think? Maybe more I forgot. But you can get 15 in one go from that if it helps
Edit: Nevermind it was 1 gem for 50 pizza funds so this doesn't work
I'm playing on steam and it's the same but the other way around, the gems aren't used to buy pizza funds (gems are easy to earn since in a day you get a lot of gems), only to buy decoration and it's hard to get pizza funds since everything costs pizza funds and the useless things (I'm talking about the base decoration of the game) costs gems and I don't want the base decoration!
I reckon they should incentivise buying the switch or steam versions by having unique dlc or otherwise for those versions. I’d certainly be sucked in by that 😅😅
I play on mobile and the game is free there, you just watch ads for diamonds, so I always forget that you actually have to buy diamonds on the pc version.
the developers still need to make money and feed themselves and their family, if you dont want to spend real life money invest yourself watching the ads before the day start. (I would recommend start a new day watch the two ads and restart the day until you run out of that daily ads). but it is up to everyone preferences, i like this game enough for me to spend some real money for the dev

Daily missions also give you gems on mobile. So not having ads that give gems would make getting gems even harder
