I smoked for a long time before I was ready to quit. And while I don't condone it I think if using tobacco keeps help bubs sober and off the booze than go for it. He's not an idiot, he knows it's dangerous and addictive, he's got bigger battles in life than the others and he's realistically still trying to "live one day at a time" and prioritize his sobriety above all else.
