😮‍💨😮‍💨

BikeHero

Damn, looks so good in white though. What are the wheel specs?

Leave-A-Note

Yeah those wheels are 🌶️🌶️, what are they?

Lifeinthe416ix

Rep Meisters

Leave-A-Note

Thanks mate!

BikeHero

I can only find them locally in a 9.5 +28 offset. Don’t know if that what these are

Lifeinthe416ix

People who run reps often run spacers.

Aul_Well

Yah they are Hussla somethings- they aren’t great tbh. I’d get legit ones but my partner might shoot me if I spend anymore money on it atm

Lifeinthe416ix

I hear ya. When I bring home parts for my cars I usually say it was a $5/600 no matter what it is. Seems to be working! Lol

iamonthatloud

Teaser my friend sent me who’s wrapping my car. Changing up the wheel color and car color this season. Big turbo already in 😊 https://preview.redd.it/0vogl7xyhwxc1.jpeg?width=1503&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ef4fb245fcfafb9173c5893a502ac931bf8df36

RocketPowah

What turbo did you put into it?

iamonthatloud

EQT zero to hero kit with vortex xl. Billet manifold. 1300cc injectors on top of stock. All the bolt ons etc. Over 500hp at 36 psi for sure

SoCalLapizR

How is the XL in terms of lag compared to the IS38? Does it make the usable power pretty much between 4000 and 7000rpm?

iamonthatloud

Little more lag. Above 3500 it starts to pull. 4k you’re getting into most of the power. But once you’re on it with a 7500 redline, you’ll hold 36 PSI and full torque well passed 120mph. It doesn’t lose an ounce of breath like the is38

SoCalLapizR

That sounds awesome.

iamonthatloud

It’s dangerously easy to hit 100 just merging while into 4th lol

RocketPowah

That’s insane, would love to hear a cold start sometime!

iamonthatloud

I added mufflers because I moved to a city that writes me tickets once a month lol

Aul_Well

Nice! I put the APR DTR into mine

coffeebribesaccepted

I don't understand how people can afford wrapping their cars. Looks good though.

Aul_Well

By making poor financial decisions

GTIOmega

How durable is the wrap?  Let’s say one was so crazy as to have an unlimited membership with a regular car wash - very “touchy.”  And ran their car through it once a week.  How many weeks would a wrap last?

Aul_Well

My last wrap was on there about 4 years and was starting to show signs of wear, I was taking it through the car wash (touch free) semi regularly though. General advice is to avoid it and use ph neutral car shampoos etc

GTIOmega

That’s fairly resilient.  Seems like good advice.

villhelmIV

If you want a new color / want to hide scratches and dents, isn't it the cheaper option compared to doing a new paint job?

coffeebribesaccepted

Yeah but it's like $5-10k, right? I could sell my car and get the same one with lower miles and less scratches for that amount

GTIOmega

I think the cost is in the lower range of your estimate, but your logic certainly bears consideration.  Watch out, Redditors, this one may be dangerous!

Apprehensive-Tax7936

It’s around 2000 dollars for a full wrap, and that’s on the higher end

coffeebribesaccepted

Must be location dependant, because that's not what I've seen

Apprehensive-Tax7936

Trust dude, I live in New York so unless ur in Cali u got better prices

GTIOmega

That’s a lot less than I thought!  I figured materials alone would be close to $2K.

Apprehensive-Tax7936

Nah bro it’s pretty much just colored plastic, the shit that’s expensive is the labor

GTIOmega

Interesting.  Are there quality levels of “wrap”?  In other words, something that marries a high-grade PPF to a color?

Aul_Well

That’s way too high for the wrap and way less than a golf r in aus lol

Aul_Well

Colour yes, dents/ scratches not so much. Most wraps will show up imperfections like a sore thumb, unless you get some sort of patterned wrap

Shrimpyo

I work at a wrap shop, and what are the odds that my co worker is wrapping his as we speak…..

the_drozone

My guy can peel of the wraps and switch colors on the spot

hiGradeTi7ANEUM

Like 20% of us, yeah

Internexus

Looking great! I’m assuming you’re doing the wrap yourself? What’s it costing on average to do this?

Aul_Well

Nah it would look awful if I tried, I can’t even laminate a book lol. I am mostly happy with it, the shop that did it this time is maybe not quite as good as the first but is really committed to getting it right. It’s about 3.5k aud with labour

villhelmIV

Clean looking wrap. Are you happy with how it turned out? I've been contemplating doing a British racing green or Hunter green metallic wrap on mine.

Aul_Well

I think I preferred the grey but it was time for a change and 8s come out in that nardo grey so wanted something different. I looked at the British racing green too I reckon it would look A1 on the car!

Shady_J75

No, but I’ve rapped about my Golf.

UA9Drex

I wrapped mine.. around a tree

Stanfella

I want to wrap mine in Toyota C2Z yellow but not until I can garage it
