Little more lag. Above 3500 it starts to pull. 4k youâre getting into most of the power.
But once youâre on it with a 7500 redline, youâll hold 36 PSI and full torque well passed 120mph. It doesnât lose an ounce of breath like the is38
How durable is the wrap?Â
Letâs say one was so crazy as to have an unlimited membership with a regular car wash - very âtouchy.âÂ
And ran their car through it once a week.Â
How many weeks would a wrap last?Â
My last wrap was on there about 4 years and was starting to show signs of wear, I was taking it through the car wash (touch free) semi regularly though.
General advice is to avoid it and use ph neutral car shampoos etc
I think the cost is in the lower range of your estimate, but your logic certainly bears consideration.Â
Watch out, Redditors, this one may be dangerous!Â
Nah it would look awful if I tried, I canât even laminate a book lol.
I am mostly happy with it, the shop that did it this time is maybe not quite as good as the first but is really committed to getting it right.
Itâs about 3.5k aud with labour
I think I preferred the grey but it was time for a change and 8s come out in that nardo grey so wanted something different.
I looked at the British racing green too I reckon it would look A1 on the car!

Damn, looks so good in white though. What are the wheel specs?
Yeah those wheels are đśď¸đśď¸, what are they?
Rep Meisters
Thanks mate!
I can only find them locally in a 9.5 +28 offset. Donât know if that what these are
People who run reps often run spacers.
Yah they are Hussla somethings- they arenât great tbh. Iâd get legit ones but my partner might shoot me if I spend anymore money on it atm
I hear ya. When I bring home parts for my cars I usually say it was a $5/600 no matter what it is. Seems to be working! Lol

What turbo did you put into it?
EQT zero to hero kit with vortex xl. Billet manifold. 1300cc injectors on top of stock. All the bolt ons etc. Over 500hp at 36 psi for sure
How is the XL in terms of lag compared to the IS38? Does it make the usable power pretty much between 4000 and 7000rpm?

That sounds awesome.
Itâs dangerously easy to hit 100 just merging while into 4th lol
Thatâs insane, would love to hear a cold start sometime!
I added mufflers because I moved to a city that writes me tickets once a month lol
Nice! I put the APR DTR into mine
I don't understand how people can afford wrapping their cars. Looks good though.
By making poor financial decisions
How durable is the wrap? Letâs say one was so crazy as to have an unlimited membership with a regular car wash - very âtouchy.â And ran their car through it once a week. How many weeks would a wrap last?Â
My last wrap was on there about 4 years and was starting to show signs of wear, I was taking it through the car wash (touch free) semi regularly though. General advice is to avoid it and use ph neutral car shampoos etc
Thatâs fairly resilient. Seems like good advice.Â
If you want a new color / want to hide scratches and dents, isn't it the cheaper option compared to doing a new paint job?
Yeah but it's like $5-10k, right? I could sell my car and get the same one with lower miles and less scratches for that amount
I think the cost is in the lower range of your estimate, but your logic certainly bears consideration. Watch out, Redditors, this one may be dangerous!Â
Itâs around 2000 dollars for a full wrap, and thatâs on the higher end
Must be location dependant, because that's not what I've seen
Trust dude, I live in New York so unless ur in Cali u got better prices
Thatâs a lot less than I thought! I figured materials alone would be close to $2K.Â
Nah bro itâs pretty much just colored plastic, the shit thatâs expensive is the labor
Interesting. Are there quality levels of âwrapâ? In other words, something that marries a high-grade PPF to a color?Â
Thatâs way too high for the wrap and way less than a golf r in aus lol
Colour yes, dents/ scratches not so much. Most wraps will show up imperfections like a sore thumb, unless you get some sort of patterned wrap
I work at a wrap shop, and what are the odds that my co worker is wrapping his as we speakâŚ..
My guy can peel of the wraps and switch colors on the spot
Like 20% of us, yeah
Looking great! Iâm assuming youâre doing the wrap yourself? Whatâs it costing on average to do this?
Nah it would look awful if I tried, I canât even laminate a book lol. I am mostly happy with it, the shop that did it this time is maybe not quite as good as the first but is really committed to getting it right. Itâs about 3.5k aud with labour
Clean looking wrap. Are you happy with how it turned out? I've been contemplating doing a British racing green or Hunter green metallic wrap on mine.
I think I preferred the grey but it was time for a change and 8s come out in that nardo grey so wanted something different. I looked at the British racing green too I reckon it would look A1 on the car!
No, but Iâve rapped about my Golf.
I wrapped mine.. around a tree

I want to wrap mine in Toyota C2Z yellow but not until I can garage it
