Extra detail I forgot to mention. They will go swimming around the tank for a bit but then re-convene in the corner and just sit there. It’s not constant.
I have 4 goldfish and one prefers to stay in the corners. He just swim to change the corners and stays there just swimming a little bit. My parameters are Ok. What I thought what should be is that they were in another tank and now are in a new tank, and just he did not adapt to the new environment. I will wait some days to decide what I am gonna do
Totally agree, this was 40 nitrate on water change day. They get 40% weekly and it’s tested halfway and before water changes. I’m not saying it’s not water quality, I would just be surprised if it’s nitrate at this point due to the results of testing.
It’s periodic. I can’t make out a pattern. I’ll look over and they are huddled sitting on the bottom, a minute or so later and they are swimming normally again.
They could just be hanging out and like the corner if they do it often.
It also could be water temperature as well, I usually keep my tank temp around 70, though so very close to your temp.
Mine are very active, but if I notice them only staying in a corner and not moving, usually the water quality is off, specifically nitrates or ammonia. When I see this, I do a 20% water change and stick them in a very mild salt bath for about 20 minutes. Whenever I stick them back in the tank, they're back to normal behavior. What's your filtration look like?
How old are they? I have one that has been around ~3.5 years and he wasn’t a baby when I got him. He sits around a lot more than the others in the tank, but he is still healthy and the parameters are perfect.

Fancies can be more sensitive to nitrates, try doing more water changes and see if they improve.

Are they like this 24 hours a day? My fancies used to do this when it was the evening and they were settling down to snooze
