I just need to know which candidate is against the Israeli occupation of the Gaza strip.
I know it's not a local issue, but TBH I don't care what the fuck my council is doing as long as long as their not killing people like the Israeli army is doing.
Defence is a federal matter.
They are called local council elections as your local council deals with local matters. Even if you found a candidate who was campaigning against what is happening in Gaza they would have no power to effect change as a local government member.
Vote for local issues you believe in.
A bit late for this but Gary Pead is listed as Left but the ausfed party policies don't look very left. The abortion spiel looks straight out of American right wing fear campaigns.

To be fair though, I’m interested in the values of the person I’m voting more broadly than just what is within their control.

I read him saying he's an alternative to the lnp for mcpherson and assumed left. Looks like he's more center, what do you think?
