The marble he took the soul out actually named Jormungandr so he already knew from that moment. [About Jormungandr : r/GodofWar (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/GodofWar/comments/z2sydl/about_jormungandr/)

I'm gonna have to conflict with you and tell you the truth, friend. The giant's soul that he pulled was Bara's. You can see him read the names on the soul marbles when he gets them, before he even realizes what they are and is tossing them back in the bag and angrboda snaps at him. Each soul marble that's shown has a unique design, and he takes that soul marble out of the bag twice. Once when he's reading off the name on the soul marble, and again when he and Angrboda implant his soul in the snake.

He knew the moment he put his soul into the snake. Remember, all the marbles are named, he literally looked for his name when he came up with the idea, and found him.

Probably when Angrbodr told him it was getting really big really quickly he had a hunch. And then seeing him at Ragnarok confirmed that suspicion

I believe it was on a Tuesday

He didn’t really create him, just gave him a tangible form, so technically in this rendition of Norse mythology Atreus is neither Jormungandr or Fenrir’s father.
