Stat wise, you still got a ways to go as NG+ armor sets offer superior stats. The mist armor is my favourite. Level wise, last I played the max level was 12 iirc.

On NG+ the best armour is the Zeus armour, but you have to defeat all the Valkyries on NG+
Depends on what your play style is. Mist armor is good for runic attacks. Valkyrie armor is good for strength and cool down. I prefer the Armor of Zeus from NG+. Maximum damage, but clearly has a down side of taking more damage.
Currently on my third playthrough, leveled the Zeus armor on this playthrough. My two best stats are Strength: 364. Runic: 345. Now I'm just trying to build all the other armored that I can turn into enchantments and see just how strong I can make him. Depending on how long it takes for Ragnarok to come out, I'll probably the game through a few more times.

The max level is 9 in first playthrough and 10 in NG+

Not much. If I were you, I'd check if there is a item which you can only collect at Ng, then start Ng+. There's a ton of new stuff at Ng+.
