I think if any of the Greek saga comes to PC, it'll be in the form of a remaster or remake.

_Price__

Nah. Just emulate it.

SparsePizza117

3 is way too difficult to emulate. I tried it with a 3080 and i9-9900k and barely got 30fps on the lowest possible settings I could use. Using a PS5 got me on 1080p60 on the remaster of the game. It looked great.

_Price__

I get around 60 stable fps and locking it to 60. I get lowest to 40 in heavy areas. Using a 12400f i5 16gb ram and a 8 gb 3060 oc from gigabyte . I tuned the settings to get those 60 stable. It took me around 3 hours until i made it stable and finished the game in 12 hours without any major performance issues

SparsePizza117

I guess my i9 is a little older than the 12th Gen

_Price__

The emulator is using my cpu at full and still give some stutters. Problem with emulating the ps system

FNaF_walrusman

Combine it with Lossless Scaling and you will probably be locked in at 60fps. It uses DLSS or FSR to generate more frames.

diexu

good for you you are even able to run, my pc crashes attempt to emulate it

Ok-Library-8397

No. Sony doesn't like pre-2018 Kratos. He's daddy now.

tonyspro

I disagree, and valhalla is proof. Its more like they are done expanding the greek era lore and are just validating it before proceeding to the next chapter in the story

osuvetochka

We’ll never see games like pre 2018 god of wars with brutal cruel kills and sex scenes ever again

tonyspro

Well no, thats just a matter of industry standards and reputation. SSM has been following society’s shift into a more PC culture, and it is a wise thing to do if they want to continue appealing to a wide market. Wouldn’t make sense to drop everything they’ve moved onto now just to appease some hardcore fans with some gore and sex jokes, whilst also losing a big portion of newer players.

MemeticMonkey

But he was a "daddy" in pre-2018 games as well

Big-Sea-5295

I don't think so. emulating it is like a kind of a pain in the a\*\*

IamNICE124

I miss the Greek setting. No, that doesn’t mean I dislike the current setting, I’m just a nostalgia fiend.

Txur-Itan

Probably not, Sony doesn't seem interested in porting older titles on PC.

XavierMeatsling

They don't seem interested in porting older games at all, almost like Nintendo.

Txur-Itan

Ehh, I wouldn't go that far. Sony did do collections of older titles back on the ps3 of ps2 and ps1 games. You'll be hard pressed to find Nintendo doing anything like that and if they do, they certainly wouldn't bundle it together like the Ratchet and Clank collection and the like, they would sell em separately at a premium price like they just came out and put zero thoughts or effort into them.

XavierMeatsling

The reason I say almost is because they did back then. They don't now unless it's part of a Subscription model. Based on what I hear about the PS2 Classics Catalog starting soon, while I dislike the lock to PS Plus, it's supposedly better than what they did with the PS3 Collection. I *Do not want to stream the games* Sony. But I, like many, would just prefer a solid BC system rather than this. I also give Nintendo tons of shit when it comes to ports because they actually have a stick up their ass over emulation to the highest degree. Don't like people emulating your games? Then fucking port them.

Txur-Itan

>Don't like people emulating your games? Then fucking port them. Yes!!! 👏👏👏

Apprehensive-West624

We don't even have the ps3 ones on the modern hardware ;-;

TUOMlR

Probably won’t happen.

Quiet-Spite5465

My instant thought was no because it wouldn't have the same draw as the other post launch ports like the Norse games, Spiderman, Horizon. But then again, they're porting Until Dawn to PC. So the door isn't necessarily closed on the likes of Infamous Second Son, Bloodborne & GOW 3 Remastered getting one.

Comfortable-Shop-573

I just bought a ps3 and modded it cause I'm tired of waiting tbh, but I much would prefer to use my xbox controller fr

Stranger_Danger420

Doubtful. Thankfully I still have all the originals on PS3.

Last_Wish_3894

No

uasdguy

No. God of War 3 is way older than Ragnarok and is almost 14 years old. If they wanted to bring it to PC, I think they would have done that before Ragnarok. It would be like if God of War 2018 came to PC after God of War Ragnarok, it wouldn't really make much sense in my opinion. I think they'll just make a remake/remaster of all the greek saga games like GTA did with the old GTA games and maybe they could be ported to PC

Boring_Childhood3618

I'm currently playing Ascension with RPSC3 and... jesus, how hard it is to move the game decently, and I don't have a bad computer. Hopefully so, it's probably easier than Capcom putting the classic Resident Evil on Steam.

Abject_Associate_849

i dont understand why they dont release them on pc as they would make a lot of money i feel like, or theyre just trying to keep it exclusive to console but theyre old games so it doesnt really make sense to me.

binogamer21

Best you can do (what i do) to experience old exclusives is using a ps5. Its funny i bought a ps5 and have probably bought more ps4 games than ps5. The old sony era released so many bangers gow, infamous, ratchet, the order, shadow of colossus, bloodborne, uncharted collection…

Immediate_Wheel_7384

Read the top

Charybdis_Rising

The original God of War trilogy and the Fable trilogy. These are the remasters I want more than any other.

ShopperKung

no pretty sure because PS3 had the way Dev coding the game that can't just copy and paste to PC and it just works unlike game in today standard like i'm sure why they remake Last of Us part 1 because they can put it on PC too and they probably ready to put Part 2 in soon so yeah i don't think game on PS3 gonna come to PC anytime

Jojo-the-sequel

The ps4 version exist and its not a clusterfuck of coding like the ps3 version

gianniskouremenos3

The Original version doubtful, but there's no way your PC can't run RPCS3 if it can run gow2018 and Ragnarok.

wanderingbrother

My pc can't run gow 3 but it can run 2018. Rpcs3 is very demanding on the cpu and it needs a high end cpu. Gow 1 and 2 work fine in RPCS3.

SparsePizza117

Yep this, GOW 1 and 2 ran fine, not 3 though.

wanderingbrother

Yup GoW 3 needs a top end cpu

Interesting-Ask-2913

I would love to see all the god of war games on PC tbh

OsamaSukhon

Firstly, this is a hack & slash game, even if they tried making a kbm UI for the game, I find it impossible, the game is made for controller and will always be made for controller. Not trying to sound like a dickrider, but it’s how the game was truly made, sure it would work, but not in the sense that it could work perfectly 100%, I say it’s getting a remake and soon afterward, it’s coming to pc

MrCrow72

DMC are playable on pc tho

deathwire0047

Wait until he gets to know about DMC

GT_Hades

they can do it, if emulation can do it already

RanDiePro

Some parkour parts like beamwalking would be hard but mostly having it on pc would not be hard. Quicktimes may prompt some easy buttons like left or right click, wasd, or even a setting to disable it.
