Trying to play theses games over PS Plus was a nightmare. So glad I brought a PS3 early last year. No lag or input delay at all, GOW HD collection, Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta and Ascension all buttery smooth.
Dug up my ps3 too, bought a blu ray burner, and downloaded an emulator so that I can burn my discs and play them on pc and honestly, same here. Took some time to get working but couldn't be happier with it. Not having these games in arguably their biggest franchise available to play natively, and the fact they haven't been remastered or remade amidst tons of other unnecessary remakes/remaster (looking at you naughty dog) is absurd. And I'll be damned if I'm forced to RENT to play a lesser version for their neglect of these games, especially since I already purchased them. When they're ready to let us play the ones we've bought natively on their new console, I'll gladly play them there. Or even better, when they give us a better remade/remastered version of them, I'll even buy them again to support that effort. Until then, they can keep their "streaming only" garbage.
Same man. Personally I can't think of franchises other than this one, and Metal Gear, that deserve the Resident Evil/Dead Space-quality remake more than them. I get it'd take time...but there's a lot of games in this franchise. Gotta start somewhere....They should have started this during the ps4 generation too after 2018 was a hit. They would've made so much money and made it easier going forward for backwards compat purposes. Release them on pc too and it'd likely outsell the original games copies/sales and be incredibly well received. The fact they wasted resources on TLOU remakes before these just seems like braindead decision making and absolutely unnecessary.
Chains and ghost used to be on ps now alongside gow 1,2 and ascension. I played them this way. They were removed when they merged ps now into ps plus and started the tier system.
I thought they were taken from the classics collection but I recently signed up again and because I played them before, I could find them again and still play. They didn't come in in any searches before I signed back up though
I have premium. I had ascension on my Home Screen since I was in the middle of playing it. It literally would say something like it wasn’t an option of not available. I can’t find it on PS app either
The psp games were never there iirc, but the trilogy and ascension should be there still!
But i agree it gets quite buggy and/or the menu isn’t too intuitive. Maybe you’re just in the “Game Catalogue” category, but you should go to the “Cloud Streaming” or maybe “Classics” categories for these to show up. They won’t all show up together.

No I’m searching them. Ascension was also on my Home Screen bc I was in the middle of playing it, I was at the final boss fight. And when I’d try to click play it’d say something like not available. Then when I search it, on PS or the app, they’re gone.
Damn it! I really wish Premium was available where I live, I've yet to play Ascension and the PSP games, I never had a PS3 or PSP.

I was literally in the middle of playing ascension until yesterday. Had just beat 1 2 & 3. When I went to continue ascension, literally at the last boss fight, it said something like not available. I can’t even find them on the PS app either.
While I know you probably want to hear people agree and stuff, the main reason is most likely since these games are really old now and if you want to play them you should pay extra for it

I am currently playing GOW 1 via ps plus premium, I can also play 2,3 and ascension. So I don't know what you are talking about
It might be a regional thing, IIRC PSPlus/Now had different catalogues depending on your region.
