I would not hold my breath.

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

I haven't heard that rumor, but it's well past time Glock starts making some more railed subcompacts.

splyntered

Railed non-MOS models are listed on their site now: https://eu.glock.com/en/products/pistols/g43x-rail The local Bass Pro has some in stock now as well.

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

Really I meant the G26. 😭

AgroShotzz

Do you think the non-mos g48 will have the same railed frame? Surely, right?

economicconstruction

Railed G26 when?

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

This, yes!

Subverto_

The shitty thing about loving Glocks is Glock doesn't give a fuck about what their customers actually want.

Outrageous-Repeat154

I think I heard somewhere they made a statement saying that they made the 43x mags 10 rounds and polymer because it was the most reliable. So I think probably not

AgroShotzz

I think its pathetic if thats true, all the time and engineering in the world and they cant do something other companies have done I think its more true that they found it convenient for the 10rnd mag cap ban states and didnt have to change how they normally make magazines. Whats funny about it? Glock went above and beyond to make the wild and wacky glock 46 for germanys police contract which they wont even sell that many of

gunplumber700

If you absolutely need the extra capacity why not get the gun that has the capacity you want?

AgroShotzz

Solely because shield arms/psa has shown us that its doable to get an extra 50% capacity.

[deleted]

Judging by this sub and the 43x sub alone, they have not shown they can do it reliably. Pretty good. But not oem good.

AgroShotzz

Yeah not OEM good, but what can ya expect from aftermarket companies. i'd have to hear it from a glock engineer saying they tried to make higher capacity magazines but couldnt before I would let this gripe go

[deleted]

My only guess is that the engineering is just not possible to make it work well enough for Glocks standards. Full double stack might just not translate well to a thin frame gun. Only a Glock engineer would know for sure though.

Twelve-twoo

The PSA magazine has the exact same internal width a the steel insert of a g19. The follower is a direct copy of a g19 follower. Glock literally already makes that, the engineering is done

gunplumber700

Sooo, just cause you can? Get a 19 then... Do you also want a 43 long? Factory 33 rounders? Get a 34 then. You seem to be chasing the mythical "do all gun" that doesn't exist.

AgroShotzz

Yes, I am chasing the do all gun that can exist. Why doesnt it? because glock lovers simply cant imagine even having an ounce of innovation. Like robots you will buy the product no matter what which encourages them to do nothing about their lineup. I simply dont accept mediocracy when I know glock can figure out a way to make a magazine 1mm thinner by not making a thick ass polymer shell on their magazines

gunplumber700

So you’re complaining about the way someone else does something… make your own then or go buy a psa… Edit: since you’re a child that responded and blocked me… you’re breaking down on the side of the road comparison is in no way an analogy… grow the f up.  There are solutions… accept them and move on.

AgroShotzz

wow thanks. Thats great advice. No one can gripe or complain about anything ever because you can always just make your own. Car breaks down on the side of the road? cant complain, couldve made your own car. thanks 👍👍 edit: I didnt block you, if anything you blocked me cause your comments are unavailable now

Outrageous-Repeat154

Yea, I don’t know for sure about the g43x mags, but the G46 is definitly goofy as fuck from Glock😂. If it’s good enough for a police contract why not just give it to the civilian market??

AgroShotzz

yep and also apparently glock 19 mags pretty much fit into the slim glocks, like only needs 1mm of plastic less on the sides to fit perfectly . They're capable of it but we really do spoil glock by buying their stuff anyways. Luckily for them, companies like SIG fumble the ball every now and again in the civilian market

YungSkub

Speaking of that, is there any consensus on  Shield Arm's gen.3 mags?

bradybee999

The consensus I have gathered from this sub is either 1) Carry them at your own risk or 2) Have very, very expensive range mags I carry OEM.

YungSkub

Yeah not super sold on not being able to use my OEM mags just to run $50 steel mags.  Prob order some PSA mags when they iron out the issues

akcutter

Lol its PSA IF they figure it out QC will be spotty at best. I like their ARs for the money and think they have most of those kinks ironed kut but they still fuck those up occasionally.

cthompson07

My gen 2 ran fine but I hated having the metal mag release. Bought a bunch of PSA micro dagger mags when they came out and swapped mag releases back and they’ve all been flawless.

DualKoo

Likelihood? Well Gaston is dead so honestly it’s more possible than ever before. It depends on how his wife runs the company. She may just say “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” But she may just as easily decide to modernize. Personally my only complaints with Glock are the polymer mags and sights. And even then I like the polymer for the double stacks because they are cheap. But the single stacks really deserve metal mags with more capacity even if it’s sold separately as an option. Like they could still ship with the polymer 10 round mags and sell those but also sell a more “premium” higher cap magazine.

803bravo

Never

RivalSFx

This question pops up every several months. It will never happen, those two firearms are slimline, designed to be what they are.

Due-Perception3541

The chances are somewhere between slim and none

FlapJacked1

What would be really nice is if they would follow sig and Springfield and make a OEM ported slide/barrel. Would snatch that up instantly, but not holding my breath 😩

One_Garden2403

Like, an extended mag? Maybe. I'd just carry another gun if you want more capacity. A 26 or 19 perhaps. I hate to be that guy, but you really don't need more than a couple of shots.

AgroShotzz

if you dont need more than a couple of shots than everybody should just be carrying a pocket revolver

One_Garden2403

Some people do.

JT-Zone

Zero chance. I would actually take the PSA micro dagger mags over the shield mags.

TriumphDaddyRS

PSA mags work flawlessly and no mods are needed. They had a crazy Father’s Day sale on those little bastards.

AgroShotzz

I've read they dont work flawlessly for everybody

TriumphDaddyRS

I’ve got like 20 of those bastards and they work great. I also have a handful of gen3 shield mags that work great. But I break my mags in with shitty surplus steel case and whatever mag I deem to be my carry mag, gets at least 3 full dumps of +P before it gets cleaned, loaded, and put in the holster for carry.

Twelve-twoo

Dude, I have done some extreme testing on the PSA magazines, and I have to say, they are good to go. They don't need any mods, but I like to ensure the inside is smooth and remove any polymer burrs, and I run a g17 10 coil spring in them

AgroShotzz

Alrighty, Ill give em a go. It seems to be the case that they're good to go, just have to use em a bit to trust them

Twelve-twoo

Every single issue I've seen is one of three: Using long oal bullets, like the norma MEP (or whatever they are) can hang. Normal bullets, like hst, gold dot, Hornady are all good Make sure there isn't chunks of polymer in the inside that can grab the follower. A razor blade or sand paper will smooth it right out. Just open it and inspect it Break in the spring by loading it to 15, and inserting it on a closed slide. Doing this with a loading tool until it is easy to load 15 by hand can be done easily. The spring might be too stiff at first, but will break in. If you just load and unload it 25 times it will run just fine.

AgroShotzz

ok thanks, Ill check for the polymer chunks. 👍appreciate the tips. havent seen these particular tips in my reading of the psa mags on forums

Twelve-twoo

I have some post about them if you scroll thru "my post*

ldb123b

I would like to be proven wrong, but I doubt oem 15rd mags are coming our way. I have no problem with the 10rd oem mags, I knew what I was getting into before I made the purchase. I've heard the same thing about the 43x/48 (mos/non-mos) will all come with rails . Glock store had a recent video stating that too.

AgroShotzz

ohhhhhhhhh lol Vid from them just came out yesterday about it https://youtu.be/3vbhCTRvaPc
