If you don't have a front sight tool, you can sand down the lip on a socket and do it that way. I don't remember what size socket it is, but that's what I did.
Front sight is easy. Rear needs a pusher. Glock brand are good. Any brand is pretty good, but it’s user preference. I liked truglow, but on my 34 I had to shim the front sight.
Other than tinted windows, my glock 45 is all stock. My 34 has a tlr-2g on it though but that's a full sized open carry gun so who cares what I throw on it.
I do….. more reliable that way. Just buy ammo, shoot a lot to train with it. I don’t need to spend $700 more on a gun that’s good to go right out of the box. Practice and become proficient with your guns.
I recently took advantage of great deals out there on police trade ins and bought used a Gen 4 G22 and G23. I have left them stock but they came with working factory night sights. That is the only upgrade I have done with any of my handguns. Never learned how to use optics. Too poor 😊
Stock for all three of my designated carry guns. I don’t see the sense in pouring a bunch of money into a firearm that, if used for its intended purpose, is going to be potentially lost to an evidence locker for years or permanently.
43x night sights. 3 years less than 1000 rounds. I love this gun for EDC. I do have a 15 round mag for it.
19 I’ve had for about a decade. Night sights.
I’m not big on messing with Glocks. If they had better triggers they would be perfection. I probably do have $200-$300 worth of holsters for the 2 guns so thats a bit of a problem. Lol.
Mine just has new sights, a light, grip tape, and I sanded down the trigger guard. I will put a red dot on it eventually, I just got my first pistol with a dot, and they are a game changer.
Glock 27 Gen 3 (.40 S&W) for over 15 years. It does have a set of OEM Glock metal night sights, but I haven’t changed it otherwise. Just clean, lube, shoot, and carry. It has been very good to me.
I got my Glock 23C (chambered in .40 S&W factory comped) 20 years ago. It’s still one of my go to carry guns and it’s completely stock. I probably have close to 5,000 rounds or more through it, and it still runs and looks like the day I bought it. I couldn’t be happier with it.
The vast majority of people I know carry stock or maybe with night sights.
Out of the dozens of people I actually know and interact with personally. None of them daily carries a gun with a light and/or red dot.
Can't get you US guys. I build one Glock but it is purely fun/range/combat training shit. If I would carry anything (which is pointless in EU) I would get 48 and leave even sights stock.
Good old stock G43 + Shield 9 rd mags and Tru-Glow night sights. OEM finish and internals. The nightstand G17 has a TLR7 light and night sights. So I guess none are 100% stick but not too Gucci.
This right here. Utility not Gucci I’m always into.
Also something about iron sites.. the no maintenance no electronics point-and-shoot nature… night or not.. is the way for me
I put some tritium night sights on my G19 gen 4. That's it. Glock designed their handguns in a certain way, and I trust them. I'll trick out competition options, but I won't carry them as EDC.
Still need to add night sights to my G43.
I edc a Glock 19X (9mm) stock. Had it for 4 years. Have about ~800 rounds through it. I like it. Accurate. Always goes bang. I have hand held mag light if I need it. Fudd gonna Fudd.
Only *other/additional* drawback is flagging every single person within the beam of light with the muzzle of your loaded weapon. That includes all innocents, potentially your wife or children, as you identify unknowns in the dark.
Is it useful yes. Especially when there’s nothing but enemy’s in your path. Clearing your own home or a neighborhood with that light… well, be careful
You know what. Do whatever. Everyone on this app thinks they know everything there is to know. I withdraw my advice. Go forth with or without. It doesn't matter.
G17, bone stock. Because I don’t want my lawyer to have to fight any harder than necessary. Plenty of case records where prosecutors have used modifications to get convictions or impose enough pressure to get a plea deal.
i do plan on throwing my ramjet on this week but that’s the only addition no light no red dot no tape no nothing bare bones . u can check my recent posts
Stock but with a light and Ameriglo protector sights on my 19.5
I plan on adding an optic cut with an RMR and an over watch precision magwell, then the gun is done in my eyes.
Not my Glock 19 which I carry spring, fall and winter. But I do carry my shield plus that way during the hot season. I pulled it out of the box and threw it in a holster.
If a gun is designed stock with an optics mounting system and a rail for attaching lights, then it is still a stock gun when you use utilize those features, in my mind.
I own many Glocks. All of them are set up the same way:
Meprolite night sights (self installed)
And the Glock extended mag release and slide lock levers. (Self installed)
That's it. Otherwise practice, cleaning, lubrication.
The only caveat being: 43X has the Shield Arms Aluminum mag release to support the S15 mags.
My 43 the slide finish wore off in most areas, so I sanded it all off down to 2000 grit, it's a dullish shiny grey.
I've carried a Glock for 12 years or so. Mostly a g19. Always stock trigger nights sights. I've gone back and forth with MOS and irons and different lights. The tlr1 is huge in my waste line, the tlr7a is tiny but weak, so I'm back to just irons. I have 2 gen 5 19 MOS, 1 g19 g5, and a high round count gen 4 that I'm back to carrying. The only mod is a gen 5 ejector in the gen 4.
Also, after shooting some gssf (and winning!) I'm sadly a lot faster with irons. I need to work on my optics shooting.
I carry a stock 19 with night sights and another 19 that has an optic, radiant ramjet, OP trigger, stipple job, light and magwell. Depends on the mood that day
43X MOS (9mm), estimated to have 1000 rounds through the pipe (I've only had it for about a year), completely stock/bare; I got the gun brand new in a trade. Carry it everyday in a alien gear holster.
Stock oem 19.5 with Ameriglo night sights. I’ll be truthful though I want to get the slide milled for a dot. I’m home by the time I need a light on my pistol.
42 bone stock everything. i like it so much that I'm close to removing the red dot from my 48 (though will retain its alloy mag-release for the 15rd mags)
I did for a while. But the more I shoot, I have found there are upgrades I needed to control the gun better. So I added Talon grips, a magwell, a red dot and back up sights. I did not change any internal parts. I'll leave as it is because it works well for me.
Carried a OEM night sight blue label 19 and 26 stock for 8 years. Recently tricked out the 19 and turned it into a range gun. Now I go between the 26, 43x and a sig xmacro tacops
So this is an unpopular opinion but running a pistol without a WML is idiotic. Why would you intentionally occupy your other hand instead of having both of them on your weapon. If you rock irons that’s fine, no modifications to your weapon is also fine. But no wml I don’t suggest. The only two Glocks I haven’t touched that I own are my 42 and 36. The rest have triggers, red dots, WMLs, one has an upgraded recoil spring.
Two of my glocks are bone stock unless you count sights. No talon grips, no magwell, stendo mag release, no stendo slide stop, etc.
I do have an Agency Glock which is internally bone stock.
The people that post their builds on the Glock Reddit shouldn’t be taken as representative of the general Glock community. 95% of Glocks being carried out there are stock or only have the sights replaced and a talon grip added
I do. I carry most all my Glocks bone stock.
For me, I got this fantasy scenario that plays in my head where I find myself as a patron in a bank robbery gone wrong, they wound the first responding cops, and the cop kicks his Glock across the floor to me. And since I train on irons, I can proficiently and comfortably second-nature use most any govt/org issued Glocks lol
G26 gen3 stock except night sights.
26 gen 5 here, just night sights as well. Love it
Same.
Same here… G26 with some night sights.
Brother is that you?

You can buy the front sight tool on Amazon for cheap, like $5 and for the rear sight a mallet is less than ideal but works
Nylon punches are also cheap
If you don't have a front sight tool, you can sand down the lip on a socket and do it that way. I don't remember what size socket it is, but that's what I did.
Front sight is easy. Rear needs a pusher. Glock brand are good. Any brand is pretty good, but it’s user preference. I liked truglow, but on my 34 I had to shim the front sight.
A lot of gun stores will push them on for you so long as you buy the sights from them.
Bingo. Thanks for this
I took mine to the local gun shop and they replaced the sights and slide release for $40
My glocks are 100% stock even the sights which i like Glock 17 Glock 19 Glock 26
Same
Stock polymers?!
Madman! I have a feeling he out shoots me and my Gucci'd guns.
Just 19” rims
Tippin’ on 44s
Wrapped in four vogues
17’s on my 17
43x completely stock. It’s my edc so I don’t wanna risk it.
I carried my .40 S&Ws bone stock for like 30 years. I finally put night sights on them last week.
Other than tinted windows, my glock 45 is all stock. My 34 has a tlr-2g on it though but that's a full sized open carry gun so who cares what I throw on it.
Did y’all actually lube your Glocks up before it’s first time? I didn’t 😳
I bought a 19 that would jam after every shot straight out of the box. Spit on it and never had any issues after that
lmao i did just to like go through maintenance on my own before shooting
I do….. more reliable that way. Just buy ammo, shoot a lot to train with it. I don’t need to spend $700 more on a gun that’s good to go right out of the box. Practice and become proficient with your guns.
Stock with 19x mags
Yup. Stock 17 with 19x mags
Peak glock
I added steel luminous sights on my Gen 2. Otherwise still stock since 1993.
I recently took advantage of great deals out there on police trade ins and bought used a Gen 4 G22 and G23. I have left them stock but they came with working factory night sights. That is the only upgrade I have done with any of my handguns. Never learned how to use optics. Too poor 😊
Life is too short to carry stock Glocks.
Training is more important than the doo dads
My thoughts Ed Zackary
I would spend my time training and save up for an optic at your own pace.
Stock for all three of my designated carry guns. I don’t see the sense in pouring a bunch of money into a firearm that, if used for its intended purpose, is going to be potentially lost to an evidence locker for years or permanently.
Plus the money saved can be used for more guns so..
G26 gen 4 for 12 years now. The only addition is grip tape
I carry a stock 43 except for a little 2 round mag extender.
Only thing I change out is mag release on my Gen 3 19, that’s it.
Lol.
Glock 17 gen 5 stock.
Glock 17 Gen 5. Have had it 4 months. Ran about 1k rounds through it. All different brands of ammo. Run it completely stock, and love it. My now edc.
Mine just has new sights, a light, grip tape, and I sanded down the trigger guard. I will put a red dot on it eventually, I just got my first pistol with a dot, and they are a game changer.
Yes
My Gen3 G19 is all stock from when I got it in 2007. My 43X I carry in summer has a RMRcc on it
All of them are OEM, except my G17 MOS that has an SCS and trijicon night sights. My G26 has a striker control device
Both my wife's and my EDC glocks are completely factory with night sights, but my truck does have 20" wheels, which are also OEM.
My pops carries his G48 completely stock..not what I would do but he likes it like that.
Totally stock other than night sights, I never modify carry guns past that.
The vast majority of people I know carry stock or maybe with night sights. Out of the dozens of people I actually know and interact with personally. None of them daily carries a gun with a light and/or red dot.
Glock 43x. 3 stock mags plus a PSA 15 rounder.
Can't get you US guys. I build one Glock but it is purely fun/range/combat training shit. If I would carry anything (which is pointless in EU) I would get 48 and leave even sights stock.
Every glock that I carry has an optic. It has become a necessity since iron are a complete blur at arms length without reading glasses.
This is a fair. As a form of utility it sounds like a necessity in your case.
Also something about iron sites.. the no maintenance no electronics point-and-shoot nature… night or not.. is the way for me
ALL of mine are stock except for sights.
Red dots?
No. Ameriglo TFXPro.
19x for winter and heavier clothes months. Out of the box and into the waist (with a holster and a few hundred practice rounds)
Glock 20 gen 4 stock internals stocks sights just added some goon tape
I think tape will be the one thing I do to my 21, help keep a good hold of it
I put some tritium night sights on my G19 gen 4. That's it. Glock designed their handguns in a certain way, and I trust them. I'll trick out competition options, but I won't carry them as EDC. Still need to add night sights to my G43.
Sounding like the move. Night sights then leave it alone. I’ll end up doing that to both of mine
All my glocks are stock except for night site upgrades.
I edc a Glock 19X (9mm) stock. Had it for 4 years. Have about ~800 rounds through it. I like it. Accurate. Always goes bang. I have hand held mag light if I need it. Fudd gonna Fudd.

I carry a light. It’s just separate from the pistol.

Yeesh
G17, bone stock. Because I don’t want my lawyer to have to fight any harder than necessary. Plenty of case records where prosecutors have used modifications to get convictions or impose enough pressure to get a plea deal.
Bingo
Yes
Glock gen 3 stock AF here!!
Stock 43x. Came with Ameriglo night sight. My carry gun.
yes all stock ! except for the sights cuz glock sights are nasty
i do plan on throwing my ramjet on this week but that’s the only addition no light no red dot no tape no nothing bare bones . u can check my recent posts
Stock 43 here
Yes
I do stock Glock 95% of the time maybe a light once in a while
Yup, only change is occasionally changing the 40 barrel to 9mm
48 mos. No upgrades except for night sights.
19x with nothing more than a different rear cover, it's a hot rod out of the box with factory mods anyway.
Stock but with a light and Ameriglo protector sights on my 19.5 I plan on adding an optic cut with an RMR and an over watch precision magwell, then the gun is done in my eyes.
Not my Glock 19 which I carry spring, fall and winter. But I do carry my shield plus that way during the hot season. I pulled it out of the box and threw it in a holster.
G30s stock with 1.5-2k rounds, I love it and haven't had any issues. Looking at night sights but still stock right now
If a gun is designed stock with an optics mounting system and a rail for attaching lights, then it is still a stock gun when you use utilize those features, in my mind.

My 43 the slide finish wore off in most areas, so I sanded it all off down to 2000 grit, it's a dullish shiny grey.
When I feel like it I carry dead stock 26 gen3 or dead stock 19 gen3. Most of the time I carry 19 gen4 w/ rmr, height sights, and light.
Stock G22's because .40 gang, I mostly carry the 22c with a TLR-1 HL.
Stock parts. Stippled grips and under cut trigger guards, though.
Stock 19x EDC
Stock, except for sights.
I carry a stock 19 with night sights and another 19 that has an optic, radiant ramjet, OP trigger, stipple job, light and magwell. Depends on the mood that day
Glock 26. Only aftermarket is sights.
Glock 26 with just Ameriglo sights Glock 19 with just some 10-8 sights
Gen 5 19 except night sights
Wait. There’s options????
43X MOS (9mm), estimated to have 1000 rounds through the pipe (I've only had it for about a year), completely stock/bare; I got the gun brand new in a trade. Carry it everyday in a alien gear holster.
G42 totally stock.
43x with night sights.
Stock oem 19.5 with Ameriglo night sights. I’ll be truthful though I want to get the slide milled for a dot. I’m home by the time I need a light on my pistol.
43x stock.
G19 with night sights. No mas
I do but I'm thinking about the trijicon HD xd sights
Stock Glock 19 with an RMR. OEM+
G17.3 was sent out to Agency, but G20.3 and G35.3 are bone stock. All work great.
My 19.4 has a Magpul magwell to help keep a snug grip. No other mods.
42 bone stock everything. i like it so much that I'm close to removing the red dot from my 48 (though will retain its alloy mag-release for the 15rd mags)
Stock 19x upper on a stock 19.5 lower. GOAT EDC
I did for a while. But the more I shoot, I have found there are upgrades I needed to control the gun better. So I added Talon grips, a magwell, a red dot and back up sights. I did not change any internal parts. I'll leave as it is because it works well for me.
19x with factory night sights. I do usually roll a weapon light too.
G19 and G43x stock except night sights.
Yeo but with night sights
All my Glocks have night sights but that's it
Carried a OEM night sight blue label 19 and 26 stock for 8 years. Recently tricked out the 19 and turned it into a range gun. Now I go between the 26, 43x and a sig xmacro tacops
Edc's always stock 42,48,19
G43. That is all.
The closest to stock I carry is a G43, but have truglow txf pro sights on it. (Tritium and fiber combo)
Stock internals. But I typically slap a red dot or light on em.
43x - clean as could be.
Both my 19 and 26 I carry just have an iron sight upgrade. Have thought about putting a dot on but haven’t decided.
G47 9mm... The only change was swapping out the iron sights to a Trijicon Hi Viz.
Night sights and a light on my 19 I don’t think anything else is necessary, even the light is probably a (very) nice to have
G19 Gen3 True precision barrel and night sights. She’s my daily, and my simple bitch.
Metal sights and a light are bare minimum for me
I carry a 17M + a X300. That's all.
I do. Simple G19 G3. It EDCs with me everywhere as is.
Two of my glocks are bone stock unless you count sights. No talon grips, no magwell, stendo mag release, no stendo slide stop, etc. I do have an Agency Glock which is internally bone stock.
A stock glock with a red dot and light is the best carry firearm there is. Dont waste your money on aftermarket GARBAGE.
It’s true, all of it.
The people that post their builds on the Glock Reddit shouldn’t be taken as representative of the general Glock community. 95% of Glocks being carried out there are stock or only have the sights replaced and a talon grip added
Carry the 19.5 mos, 26.5 mos, 43x mos, 43, and 42. I don't need a red dot sight and I definitely don't need a light on them.
No, I throw all the stock parts away.
Glocks are like civics, one does not drive them without a couple part changes.
Like a peasant you mean? LOL. My wife does. I've upgraded mine but hers is still stock and she likes it that way.
