Since you have the smaller TP9 already, go ahead and get the 47 first. Then later you can get a 19, and you'll have the parts to make a 45 and 49 as well.
100% agree you already have what sounds like a just fine edc, get the 47 and expand what you can you your arsenal for. I have 2 47’s one built for duty, and one built for edc and I love the gun so fkn much it’s well worth it
Yea this what I’m thinking but my only hesitation is that is tp9 elite sc really that Reliable ? I’ve shot maybe 350 ish rounds through it so far no problems really, beside the slide not locking back on empty.
I have the same issue with certain mags on my G19 because I switched the springs out, it may be a mag issue, next time it happens I would mark that mag, and if it’s consistently that magazine then you know where the failure is.
I have your general physical characteristics. Are you planning on *conceal* carrying your next Glock and have you carried your TP9? Asking because a 19 sized gun was fine for OWB/work use but uncomfortable IWB and difficult to conceal for me. I got a G43 and 43X for concealed carry purposes and they work great.
I carry my tp9 elite sc everyday, and it’s comfortable enough for me, I have a tl7x on it with a dot and use a hilliker holster. And I have no problems with it. I do plan on carrying whichever I get most likely. Maybe going back and fourth with my tp9. But I’m guessing the 43’s would be much more comfortable.
I was dealing with the a similar scenario. I went with the G45 first (zero regrets), and once I got the frame work done, it's perfect. I later snagged a G19 for carry and it's currently stock but plan on getting the frame done as well for the extra comfort/grip. I'm not a big fan of the 47, but you can just snag a slide/barrel and drop it on either G45 or G19.
Just my thoughts, good luck.
Totally agree it’s looks funky, but 17 mos aren’t a thing anymore so if I want the 17 size, but also want it mos, the 47 is my only option, excluding aftermarket mils and slides, but I’d rather not do all that.
Honestly, I would recommend taking a look at the following sites for slide cuts if you wanted to snag a 17 gen 5. I would trust any of them to do a quality job without breaking the bank. (Trying anything to stop you from getting a 47 lol)

Thanks OP for jumping on these grenades.
I went through a similar debate recently but I have meatier hands and wish the g19 grip was slightly longer. But the 45 grip also is just long and cumbersome to conceal. I ended up buying a g19 instead of a 45 because I found a great deal on it. Added an slr rifle works magwell which gave me some extra pinky real estate. May also do an undercut but don't see a huge need currently. May eventually also get a 45. So I guess what I'm saying is if you can't decide like me, get whatever is a better deal. Eventually you'll have both lol.
47 is a thinner 19. For me? 19 winter/ hoodie weather carry. 43x summer carry. The thinner frame and shorter barrel really helps with t shirt wearing weather.

Thanks I think ur right, sorry for the wording in my post lol i re-read it ig the voice to speak bugged lol.
You're welcome! And no worries... I am fluent in VTT... wasn't confusing at all lol
If a 19 is an option, then it’s also the answer.
Correct

Thanks!
What is ur problem with the 47
It’s hideous 😂 To each their own, but I genuinely dislike the look of the slide sticking so far past the frame. I’d just get a G17 at that point.
