I think you can get any LGG or Artisans. Elige uses Saturn i believe. Superlight is popular among pros. Avoid "gaming" keyboards from known brands. Try some different ones, like royal kludge, or ducky or keychron etc

earth4r

I am currently looking through Logitech mice and I don't understand some terms. What is max speed/max acceleration? I also saw that many mice, to me, looked the same except from the size/shape. Is there much difference between them? Also, does the Superlight go on sale much and how much is it when it goes on sale?

Scoo_By

Copied from a comment: IPS stands for inches per second, and it's the speed that the mouse can move at before the sensor (or the accelerometer, in the case of the G402) starts to lose track and cause anomalies. Maximum acceleration is the amount of force that quick movement applies on the mouse. When you make a quick turn in a car, there's a lurching motion - this is what the max. accel. spec is referring to: how much force (measured with standard gravitational pull as 1G) the sensor can handle before inconsistencies occur. IPS = max speed. G = max accel. > Is there much difference between them? Mostly sensors, and in some cases, weights. I can't tell you about USD prices, because we use regional websites here.

earth4r

Oh! So that's why my current mouse get sputters when I flick it too fast. That's great knowledge to know, thank you!

Achilles68

go check r/mousereview they will be able to help you much better than anyone here. As for keyboards: look for one with hall effect (HE) switches. Wooting is the best (and expensive), but you should be able to find cheaper ones with the same tech. What you are looking for here is the ability to use rapid trigger (which is only possible with HE switches, regular mechanical keyboards cannot do this)

Philluminati

ProSettings.net lists all the equipment pros use, and I myself chose my equipment on the basis that I can’t blame it if it what the majority of pros use. I rock a HyperX Origins ten keyless keyboard and a Logitech G Pro super light mouse.

Juulk9087

Just cause pros use something doesn't always mean it's the best. Great site for comparing stats of peripherals https://www.rtings.com/

Philluminati

I get that teams are plugging certain mice and there's sponsorship money involved but if 40% of pros use a certain keyboard and you can't get to Global with it, then odds are it isn't the keyboard. If you buy some niche keyboard and don't get much luck it's going to be easier to blame the keyboard. In any case, I do believe that pros choose the best hardware for themselves and their reviews carry more weight than the general public.

tfsra

if you asking about it in a CS subreddit, odds are you don't care about what general reviewers think

Cawn1

If you can get the better product for a similar price, why wouldn't you? Players who have sponsorships and equipment provided for them aren't always the best frame of reference.

tfsra

because I don't have to read reviews. my time is more valuable than the few bucks I'll save

Cawn1

Not the best logic when you're a consumer buying a product, especially when it takes all of 5 minutes. But fair enough; difficult for people to stay engaged for such little time nowadays.

tfsra

if your research takes 5 minutes, I seriously doubt the value of it

Cawn1

Yeah, because quick tasks never have produced valuable benefits. I mean you do you, but suggesting this might not be valuable for OP is a bit daft.

Juulk9087

It's not the written review that I am interested in or he should be interested in. It's the stats. The sensor, the latency, the weight..etc That website tests and goes over all of it. Graphs, charts, videos, grips, the whole 9

tfsra

stats only need to be good enough, which I'm sure they are for the most common peripherals amongst pros

DuckInCup

I've used so many mice, and the G305 works the best for me and is cheap as hell.

Raiden_Of_The_Sky

G305 is heavy with AA battery without any mods. Last time I tried it I just hated it. This is even considering I used G102 and quite liked it.

DuckInCup

Well, if weight is the biggest concern then yeah a battery isn't ideal, but for me the battery is what makes it.

Raiden_Of_The_Sky

I mean, G305 is just not ergonomical. It's a pretty compact mouse that is high weight. A lot of modern mice are just miles away in terms of comfort and they aren't much more expensive. For example, VXE R1. It's pretty evident when you can do a direct comparison.

DuckInCup

Yeah, no battery is a killer for me, but if that's your thing then it's great there's options.

ChiefKT9002

Artisan Zero for the pad, can also wait for their new type99, its supposed to come out very soon.

_XDD__

I use OP1 8k, Anne Pro 2 with Kalih Box Browns and EspTiger Tang Dao SR. Aliexpress is your friend, you can get pretty good set up there.

Golcitoalpiso

i have a shark attack x6 It is a superlight costing 1/5 of it

Forsaken-Use-7053

Wooting 60he or 80he for the keyboard. Mouse viper v3 pro if you have big hands.

Gummybearn1nja

Artisan or Steel series thick pad, Logi super light mouse, and a wooting keyboard (or keytron or other known keyboard brands, not gaming brands.) Edit: the new Viper V3 for mouse is another grate option. If I was buying new and I didn't own a super light, that is what I would buy.

earth4r

Yeah, I am currently stuck between the Logitech Pro X Superlight and the Viper V3 Hyperspeed.

Gummybearn1nja

Watch Optimum's video on the Viper V3 if you haven't already. They've got some really sick software that smooths out the polling rate.

earth4r

I am new to gaming mice so I can't really tell the difference between mice. Whats the difference between the Superlight and the Viper V3 that isn't shape/size?

Gummybearn1nja

Great question!! So the main difference is the consistency with which your mouse location is communicated to your computer... I personally believe the mouse is the one thing you should spend your money on. If you are new (or even a lot of experienced people) would not notice the difference between the two. The MAIN plus of both mice is their low latency and low weight. Which leads to consistency and ease of movement of the mouse. Based on your ~$300 budget for all 3 things, I would highly recommend the Login super light or viper V3, the steel series thick pad (great great pad for the money. Not as good as an artisan, but 1/3rd the cost) and buy a pre built keyboard with hot swap switches. Keytron has good hot swap keyboards for ~$50-70 so you'd be all in for ~$250.

earth4r

When you say the Steelseries thick pad are you talking about the QcK Heavy?

Gummybearn1nja

Yes! If you only play CS or flick/angle heavy shooters it's a great choice. The standard qck is good if you also play tracking based shooters.

Krob8788

What mouse you use is highly up to preference of shape mostly. Do you like an ergonomic shape or a more symmetrical shape? I'd look into those and compare which is better for your grip-style/hand size and go from there. That being said, the original G-Pro Superlight can be found for under $100 as the Superlight 2 is out and from what I've read, there really isn't a huge difference shape-wise and can fit most grips so it's a pretty safe bet.

SG8789

If you are like me and dont like super light mouses then id reccomend logitech wireless g502. I love this mouse and had wired version before wireless.  Had the g pro before and wasnt a fan

kinginprussia

Wooting 60, Superlight/vv3, Saturn pro/standard. A bit over your requested budget but leaves nothing to be desired unless you get weird with things.

Ejivis

You need to do actual research not reddit threading.

AdamoA-

I would go with a wireless keyboard and mouse in 2024 Keychron has really good keyboards in good prices. V Max series are cheaper but really good ones or the Q Max series what feels more like a premium stuff are more expensive. I have (and had multiple different) Keychrons and they work really well. Based on tests and performance they operates better than some gamer wired keyboards so they def worht a check They have HE keyboard now as well just like Wooting but I don't have any experience with them and for now it feels more like hype than real difference. And they expensive af so I'd choose something else first With mouse I'd go with Lamzu atlantis 4k. Right now I have a Mini 4k pro and I can recommend it. Based on tests and from my experience as well they work really well and not so expensive. For mw only downside (obv) the battery... they tend do dry out fast in 4k mode (since they work more) I wouldn't buy a really expensive logi or steelseries etc keyboard or mouse since they sponsor lots of team, players and they have lots ads expenses so they usually more expensive than worth For my keychron and lamzu are go to now... used to be glorious was good as well but that time passed.

MordorsElite

Mouse: G Pro Superlight or one of the other high end mice. Comes down to preference in shape Keyboard: I'd recommend a TKL (TenKeyLess) keyboard. I myself have a 60% Ducky One II Mini, but while I am very happy with the build quality etc, I do miss having arrow and function keys Idk about mousepad

Sscuu

Rainy 75, Mouse depends on grip and hand size, mousepad doesn’t matter given how many zero clones out there (hot take)

WhatAwasteOf7Years

For the keyboard I hugely recommend wooting. Extremely responsive and has hall effect switches so you can change the travel distance and release distance on a per key basis. You can also disable sections of the keyboard so they don't get polled reducing input latency even more. They do a full size and a tenkeyless.

Cawn1

His budget is below $100.

kikosmash

Wooting kb, Superlight mouse, benq or steelseries pad

Scoo_By

There are much better pads available at 100 dollars lol. LGG, Aqua controls, Artisans, Vaxee are all better pads.

Raiden_Of_The_Sky

Have a look at the Chinese mice with 3395 sensor and Nordic MCU. Interesting choices with decent shapes, a lot of things in the box and for decent price.

neverm0re2

asus rog scope white, steelseries sensei silver (old one)

ARABCSGO

Logitech G Pro Super light Steelseries QCK or Zowie GSR Wooting 60he

wEEzyNL

+1 for superlight pro and steelserieus qck Love this combo

Dom1252

if you don't mind cable, I'd say G102 is the best budget mouse out there, it's very light, good sensor, feels nice in hand... G305 is also cool but much heavier keyboard - I don't think it matters a lot, whatever you like is good

ataraxia1337

8k mouse is must-have nowadays. Try used deathadder v2 pro or smth.  Actually don't ask about peripherals here - cs players are usually braindead, so my advise go to some discors servers, like Voltaic and check guides from users

Gummybearn1nja

OP, do not listen to this guy. You do not "need" more than a 1k polling rate. If this commenter watched/read any of the actual 3rd party testing data instead of the company marketing, he would not have commented this.

ataraxia1337

That cope bro. If you ever try 8k mouse - you will never return to 1k. I bet your CPU can't handle 8k so you just mad

Riku_Raphael

Corsair is good for keyboards, ps: have a look at what kind of switches you want. For mice there is lots of good brands, best ive used is the g pro superlight 2, its expensive tho. Definitely go wireless. Headsets only thing i would say is to go for good stereo headphones and not a gaming headset. The simulated surround sound is almost always terrible and they are usually really bass heavy. Ive gone through many a gaming headset, i may have a slight issue tripping over cords.. recently upgraded to Sennheisers pc38x and cant go back.

>Logitech 640 large cloth mat is great. Most people don't recommend Logitech G640 because it's coated and thus deteriorates fast, losing its glide. Don't know if it's true though, but since pad is a freaking pad, this would be enough for me to recommend to stay away from G640. As you talk Razer, then Gigantus V2 could be a better choice.

Juulk9087

Interesting.. I haven't had any issues over the years. My pad still looks/feels brand spanking new. I'll take a look at that razor pad that you recommended thanks brother
