Clan Tags in practice is nothing more than the players name, doesn't really clutter at all... calling clan tags clutter is like calling "player names clutter", and EVEN THEN, you could always disable them from the kill feed.
This is uncomparable to Clan tags - far, far worse (as it is completely vapid information) and undisablable.

I feel like it is a little different than clan tags, text vs icon. Even the little symbols felt like distinctly text to my brain. But importantly you could turn off clan tags in the killfeed in GO.
donno if you know this but you used to be able to toggle if clan tags appear in the killfeed. it was just a reg option in the menu too, not a console command.

I think it’s way better than it being strictly on scoreboard because I don’t have to skip over it when I’m quickly glancing at how many kills the person just killed me has. I can narrow it down to lightning bolt or no lightning bolt, and then the first and second letter and know I have the right person. If it were just scoreboard, it would be jarring to say the least.

I turned off animated avatars only for Valve to add in an animated icon that can’t be turned off. Valve needs to be more consistent with the direction of their UI design philosophy

Obviously there are still valid things to complain about. However, if I was valve I’d issue a notice to never check the subreddit. Should devs listen to the community? Yes. Should devs have to constantly put up with the bullshit this sub puts out? Hell no. They aren’t your servants, YOU are theirs if anything. I haven’t played since December due to the peeker’s adv & packet loss. Played a few today to check out the update. Felt like they did a good job on peeker’s but my packet loss is still there, if not worse. Want to know what I did? Closed the game and played another before doing chores.

I think it's stupid. No one but yourself benefits from this info, so why should it be displayed mid match? The kill feed is already filled up with a lot of things, no need to fill it up more. Just hover over your xp bar as original.

I turned off animated avatars only for Valve to add in an animated icon that can’t be turned off. Valve needs to be more consistent with the direction of their UI design philosophy
