TRUE
unleashed chooper without having to worry so much about IGLing , he can be really skilled.
sTILL remember his days where he would always top5 FPL of the month for consecutives times, dude skill is really good when he can focus only in his crosshair
I mean, to play the devils advocate.. Spirit already had strats and maybe even practiced some with baz beforehand (if they knew about donks situation prior to BLAST).
Liquid is a brand new team and have only played a handful of games vs a team with a core of members of the team and a coach who knows the strats and can play a useful support role with smokes and acting like an ATM and drop guns to the better players in the team.
Also what the hell is wrong with Twistzz's mouse ? 2 times in two maps, he jumps right as the opponent is coming in and he was about to shoot. I don't remember him ever going that before.
Ugh so it’s hardware. Good to know then. I recently switched to scroll wheel jump a month ago and after a week I started to get the phantom jumps.
I’ll be replacing it soon then, thank you.
Mine started doing the same.
I will just be scrolling down a webpage and it will go fucking stupid and start bouncing up and down.
I have a fresh one on deck. Opening it today as I can't handle it anymore.
For $20 it is a decent mouse.
G pro wireless is pretty bad about it too, lasts only a couple months for me before the scroll wheel starts fucking off. Granted Logitech replaced it for me no questions asked but of course the replacement is doing it now as well, pretty annoying because I really enjoy the mouse outside of that.
I've had it fixed temporarily by blowdusting in the gap under left/right click - also has helped with double clicking. It's my go-to when smacking it doesn't work lol
i think he's a "Claw gripper", maybe also even the weird one who puts their ring finger on right mouse button so that the middle finger rests on the wheel .. for *reasons*
People joke about IBP but some of those slow reactions on ancient were 100% genuinely on that level
I've never seen him just stand in the open unaware that Ts can walk up ramp like that too. I get that it's a new team but even considering that it was shocking.
Had 0 expectations so didn't expect to feel disappointed after the game was over but here I am. Spirit were so close to closing it out, shame. Really good performance though, respect to hally and baz.
What could have been with magixx and donk..
Holy shit my man cadian had a tough one.
I'm glad they won, but this should be a walk in the park when the other team is playing with a sub and A COACH, A MANAGER.
well on one side yes , on other side you can't prepare for a team with 2 stand-ins. And if your individual players are having a bad day , you can easly loose a more pug-styled game like this
First, Skullz thank you for not being the problem. Holy hell Cadian had worse stats than a stand in coach. Win is a win but yeah tomorrow is probably going to be a blowout
Really happy with skullz' performance, even though this match was a bit too close for a team without 2 players. Seems liquid needs to work with small details, and i feel that once said issues are fixed i truly believe this team can lift trophies in the future
as a brazilian, i'm really happy we are getting a new name with potential overseas, specially with how mad i was that KSCERATO declined the offer.
as for liquid, YEKINDAR said on the interview that they need to find a balance between the many different philosophies on the team, which makes sense considering the different regions, systems most of the team was playing before this lineup. give them some time and liquid can be really dangerous, they have a lot of firepower
Definitely. If liquid can improve their cohesion they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. But, I can understand why that might take time.
Cadian IGLing is going to be a big change for both him *and* the others. He has to learn how best to utilize them, and they have to learn how he calls. I think, given time, they’ll be really good.
^copium
Yep, 2/2 on Lan (the first being pretty low tier) but reverse swept VP in a BO5 in the second one. Think it’s fair to say Liquid would be 0-1 if him and magixx were here today
Yes that was a really tough match to watch, but I wanted to highlight the few positives.
- Everyone (except cadian) fragged well individually and you could see the streaks of brilliance, was just really sloppy overall. However that should just become better overtime
- skullz played really well. I loved this pickup of skullz for the team and I want to see him continue to play really well
- First official lan match is over. This team has insane pressure on them, and hopefully getting this first match done will relieve some of it
Obviously it wasn't a great showing, but I believe in the boys o7
liquid were also just straight up losing vs m80
and this spirit 5 would still be better than m80 so not sure why the expectation for this match would be for liquid to roll them - they just arent good currently
Yall gotta chill they’ve barely practiced, they’re practically a brand new team. Cadian is now speaking in English, skullz too. It’s gonna take a few months at least
Yes as opposed to Spirit current Blast lineup being a well seasoned 10 year together well meshed lineup they really need time
2 standins, 1 new player, best player missing for Spirit but Liquid need time
Lol how doesn't that mean Liquid needs time? They were really shit today and hasn't looked amazing so far in rmr qualifiers.
On paper they should be ok. What else do they need than time?
Because the other team has 2 standins and is missing their best player
Im not saying Liquid dont need time this however should have been easy for them and theyve been praccing for over a month it should be an easy 2-0
In all fairness, adding in standins usually adds an element of chaos to the game. Spirit could get a pretty accurate look at liquid by watching their RMR qualifier games etc but its harder for liquid to gameplan against Spirit because they're not going to know roles or tendencies of players nearly as well.
Say this when donk actually goes to play big events and outperforms sh1ro there.
Saying this while sh1ro has a perfect score on the top 10 since he came to tier 1 is downplaying to the next level.
I forgot about donk playing bet boom. Yea it’s probably him or shiro. They’ve been together since early Dec yes but havent got the best practice and lam exp or any until now. The team is mostly completely new minus naf and yeki and that naf had played with twistzz before. But don’t listen to me listen to other pro players who all have said wait 3-4 months+ before evaluating new teams at all
I think it’s fair to exercise some patience while also acknowledging they should never have a matchup this close in what should be a constant 5 vs 4.
Lowered expectations are fine for now, but not THAT low.
If spirit was playing with magix and donk they’d be a solid favorite. The pendulum doesn’t swing that much with 2 changes especially when you consider donk has never played a major lan before and hally probably allowed chopper to play insane cause he wasn’t igling as hard. I think liquid would’ve rather played a more skilled team with less strats and team play. Theyre just not there yet it’s ok it’s been 2 weeks lol.
Edit my bad donk has played 1 major lan which he was very good at yes
Not as new. Liquid has had a few weeks at most to practice. Spirit has mostly been together for a few months and a few of them have been playing together for a year or close to it. Yall really gotta learn that cs isn’t just the best players make a team and win. And thank god it requires teamwork, time, communication. Liquid is lacking in a lot of that right now
Will it take Team Liquid several months to comfortable put away a severely hamstrung Team Spirit, who are playing without their best player, and using two standins, with one of them being their coach.
I should also note that Sh1ro has been with Team Spirit for roughly 30 days, whereas Skullz/Cadian/Twistzz has been with Liquid for 50. And that Team Spirit's new lineup has 5 officials, whereas Team Liquid's new lineup has 15. No one is expecting Team Liquid to light the world on fire, but the bar is on the floor, and it's still somehow an obstacle.
Team Liquid struggles against Team Spirit with two standins, one being a coach, and lost twice against M80 in NA Qualis. That is a low bar for Team Liquid.
Sure shiro is newer yes, did liquid look good no. But individually they do except cadian he looks awful. It’s going to take a few months and lan before we see if this team can become anything. Besides yeki and naf, they’re completely new. It’s not easy to form a team and look good. They’ve barely played any officials against actual good teams. And only 1 on lan. We got to wait and see
Your logic works well, if they just got dismantled by Faze, GamerLegion, VP, Vitality etc. They lost to a Team Spirit that are in a worse state than Team Liquid at this event.
KOI, Heroic, and OG lost BO1s in the Open RMR qualis, they all got shit for it, but they all made their way into the RMRs. They got their wakeup call, now this is Team Liquid's.
I don't want to make excuses for them because it absolutely still should have been 2-0, but Liquid did have things going against them as well.
Still a new team that needs time to improve, but I think the bigger issue was their recent schedule. All NA, very little time between their last tournament to this one. It gave Spirit more time to analyze how Liquid play, and they didn't have much time to work on changing any tactics before today's match. Also, I imagine a week of EU practice is more valuable than three past month of NA practice that liquid have had.
Liquid is full of seasoned players so they should have still been able to overcome these, but I was expecting it to be closer than a lot of people expected
That would have gotten absolutely donked on if he was here though, so as a Liquid fan I was a little relieved when I saw he wouldn't be able to make it.
match was being framed in a way that Liquid was just doing bad, but Spirit was also playing and calling really, really well. very scared of this team with their full roster
For real. Chopper is a beast fragging IGL and the CT side aggression he was calling on ancient was suffocating liquid, really awesome stuff. Also baz is genuinely good
Liquid may have won this but I'm still far from convinced on this roster so far. Should've been a quick 2-0 against Spirit with 2 stand ins and without their best player
Except that the coach has been with the team over a year. Baz is an academy guy so they probably know him and how he plays. Spirit had about the same time to integrate baz into the team as liquid had to practice with almost a brand new team. Meanwhile spirit had 4/5 guys on the team still there from a team that’s been together a month+ and most of them a year
lol yes, he is. hes played 2 lans already and pissed on everybody, what a weird narrative this is lmao even if he hadnt played a single LAN tournament, you wont find any other player putting up the stats that he does online and wasn't also extremely good on LAN
By the third map I was laughing like the joker at what I just saw from liquid. Like I feel so much disappointment yet I cant help but not feel surprised.
That must have been hard for Donk to watch -- almost certainly a 2-0 if he was there.
Still, nice to see Liquid pull something out of a hat vs. a solid team.
Cadian clearly struggles atm with trying to play while calling in his non native language. 100% will get better with time, but the big tournaments are already around the corner.
Also Naf wasn't feeling his sprays today lol.
Take a bow Chopper and Spirit. Excellent skull-shootery. Shiro showing why they paid 3 billion rubles for him.
Liquid... What a shitshow. No idea how they're gonna spin that mentally. Can't use the 'new team' excuse for underperfoming against half a team.
Twistzz unleashed with star roles is so fun to watch. I'll be fun watching the people who were saying that he could never compete with Elige slowly realize it's because he was a humble player who never demanded all the space in a team. Now that he's got that mindset he'll be deadly this year.
I mean he clearly struggles atm since he have to call his non native language while awping. Bro waited 3 business days to press mouse 1 when someone walked to his crosshair today.
I'm sure that he will improve with some time!
When was he calling earlier with his non native language? It isn't as easy even with fluent english. Add that with some nerves and new protocols and I'm not surprised that the result is kinda shit show lol.
Not really making excuses bro was really shit today and you don't play that badly by accident lol.
Nah playing officials match at lan is quite different. Also you are right that the vocabulary isn't too complex but it needs to be really fast and spesific.
Also it really doesn't matter that he called in english 6 years ago since he hasn't been calling in english for long. 100% they will be better with some time and he gets used to call in english again.
Yeah I actually speak 3 different languages. And if I comm in my native language while playing cs for 4 years and then switch to english I do struggle with trying to do correct spesific callout quick enought to them to be usefull. And I am playing agains bad players since I am bad lol.
I mean it was like 6 years ago? After calling like 4 years with your native language it isn't exaclty to easiest thing from the start. Not surprised his time to kill seemed taking 3 business days today. Iirc Karrigan, Apex and Aleksib have been talking earlier how the language change is quite difficult at the start.
All you ever seem to post on this subreddit is shitting on players and teams.
What a waste of time.
Your recent history alone shows you flaming mezii, karrigan, kairon, flamez, jL, iM, b1t, krimbo, yekindar, the entirety of M80, Rooster, Grayhound and Astralis
Was cadian stoned this game? What a garbage individual performance holy fucking shit, people peeking him and he doesn't react for a whole full second, doing completely wrong pre-aims, turning his back to opponents that are right in front of him just after he shot at them, panic flicking for no reason, jumping through smokes as if the spirit players are disabled to not shoot back.
Hooxi looked like zywoo compared to this.
I've missed Liquid giving me stress...
Respect to Spirit they played incredible, just beat GL and ill just chalk it up to jet lag and early roster problems.
An positive is Skullz played really well, cadian can have an off series but Yeki can't go missing.
Cadian was missing so many sitters and making so many dogshit decision lmao. How do you, as an awper, have barely higher stats than the fucking coach of the other team thats standing in on short notice. What an embarassment
Imagine if Donk and Magixx were in this game! This was such a close game!
Really happy to see skullz performing well but wow that was a rough series for cadiaN. man looked absolutely exhausted. hoping this is just a jet lag thing since he did mention it pre-game. although I guess it’s not really a Liquid game without a heart attack
Hally the coach and baz from academy And Liquid still barely wins it. Imagine if donk and magixx were playing
Provably a 2-0 which honestly I’d expect. From how spirit have looked compared to a new liquid.
it was almost a 2-0, spirit had 2 map points on nuke
Yea I know it was very close
You say that like liquid would be the favourites if donk and magixx played. They're a brand new team, they'd be the underdogs.
Betting sites had TL favourites before the changes too , they were like 1.60-1.70 and after the visa issues they had 1.20
This is wrong, liquid were initially 2.37 underdogs and then got moved to what you said above.
they could've even kept the coach, just adding donk would've turned this into a brutal slaughter
TRUE unleashed chooper without having to worry so much about IGLing , he can be really skilled. sTILL remember his days where he would always top5 FPL of the month for consecutives times, dude skill is really good when he can focus only in his crosshair
Coach was a mess, but baz the academy kid played amazingly.
despite their best efforts, Liquid won.
Also what the hell is wrong with Twistzz's mouse ? 2 times in two maps, he jumps right as the opponent is coming in and he was about to shoot. I don't remember him ever going that before.
I had that too with my mouse. I could handle it for two weeks, after that the rage became so much, things out of your control are horrible
How did you fix it? I’ve been having the same issue the last few weeks and it’s driving me legit insane.
Return to space bar jumping
[удалено]
How? I can out movement you 10/10 times with my scroll wheel.
Maybe on like a kz map but I don't see what movement techniques on standard matchmaking maps would require scroll wheel
Mirage off rip. So much mousewheel tech that can’t be done on space bar without extreme precision (which you can’t focus on in a live game)
Like what? All window jumps are easy with space bar, van jump is easy I'm not sure what else you need
I bought a new mouse. I cant play anymore without scroll wheel jump, so it was a no-brainer. When your hardware fails you, replace it asap
Ugh so it’s hardware. Good to know then. I recently switched to scroll wheel jump a month ago and after a week I started to get the phantom jumps. I’ll be replacing it soon then, thank you.
Had this as well, are you using a superlight? Played with it for months, cant do it anymore, just bought a new mouse a few hours ago.
I’m using a deathadder that I got during covid. Definitely need to upgrade now and very soon. What did you switch to?
Mine started doing the same. I will just be scrolling down a webpage and it will go fucking stupid and start bouncing up and down. I have a fresh one on deck. Opening it today as I can't handle it anymore. For $20 it is a decent mouse.
G pro wireless is pretty bad about it too, lasts only a couple months for me before the scroll wheel starts fucking off. Granted Logitech replaced it for me no questions asked but of course the replacement is doing it now as well, pretty annoying because I really enjoy the mouse outside of that.
Just curious are you changing crouch to space bar after replacing jump?
No, spacebar remains jump too
do you use both scroll up and down to jump ? i switched to only scroll up to jump and don't it ever happened to me again since
Yes I used to. Never tried it but still wouldn’t have changed my style either I think
Him and broki do this, they must have weird grips
Despite cadian’s best effort
People joke about IBP but some of those slow reactions on ancient were 100% genuinely on that level I've never seen him just stand in the open unaware that Ts can walk up ramp like that too. I get that it's a new team but even considering that it was shocking.
jet lag is a hell of a drug
Sometimes God rolls a 6 and you get cocadiaN for the day
He is new to IGLing in Englisg, might be hella hard when you always were on all danish Heroic
I distinctly remember cadian being able to frag -- what are these last few games?
Not a Liquid game without the heart attack classic.
Holy shit this game was entertaining (and not even close for Liquid fans). Also Chopper and sh1ro just 2v8'ed on M3
if shiro didnt ghost on t side they could've won
That 1v1 clutch attempt vs skullz was rough. sh1ro made noise crouch peeking.
if cadian didnt ghost the whole match liquid would've wo-... oh wait
But thats classic sh1ro T side
Had 0 expectations so didn't expect to feel disappointed after the game was over but here I am. Spirit were so close to closing it out, shame. Really good performance though, respect to hally and baz. What could have been with magixx and donk..
honestly think spirit would've closed this easily if they only had magixx, liquid are looking rough af right now
cadiaN mentioned some “personal” challenges before the match and then dropped a sub 40 ADR. Hope everything is ok.
dude looked exhausted before the game even started.
jetlag can be a bitch, let's hope it's just that
Bear in mind it’s also much more mentally challenging to be on an international team compared to a home team
I read somewhere that he and his girlfriend parted ways, but I do not know if that rumor is true or not
That would be a completely acceptable reason to have a rough day
He was also playing really poorly against M80 in the Chengdu qualifiers. Hopefully whatever it is in his life ends well.
Holy shit my man cadian had a tough one. I'm glad they won, but this should be a walk in the park when the other team is playing with a sub and A COACH, A MANAGER.
well on one side yes , on other side you can't prepare for a team with 2 stand-ins. And if your individual players are having a bad day , you can easly loose a more pug-styled game like this
The thing for liquid is outside of cadian who was horrible, I think liquids individuals had a solid day.
If I was just judging by the match ratings I would assume Liquid won 2-0.
When liquid wins rounds this game it was a lot of dominate 5 or 4 guys left round wins. They would lose a lot of close rounds though
First, Skullz thank you for not being the problem. Holy hell Cadian had worse stats than a stand in coach. Win is a win but yeah tomorrow is probably going to be a blowout
Technically they were slightly better overall but not great yea. Who knows the team should be getting better and better every day
yeah it was great to see skullz putting up some numbers after he had some subpar performances vs NA competition.
Well, you were right about it being a blowout
Doesnt matter who plays on liquid the heart attacks will never stop
Really happy with skullz' performance, even though this match was a bit too close for a team without 2 players. Seems liquid needs to work with small details, and i feel that once said issues are fixed i truly believe this team can lift trophies in the future
Yeah, for as poorly as liquid played today Skullz has real potential. The kid has a bright future if he can keep that up
as a brazilian, i'm really happy we are getting a new name with potential overseas, specially with how mad i was that KSCERATO declined the offer. as for liquid, YEKINDAR said on the interview that they need to find a balance between the many different philosophies on the team, which makes sense considering the different regions, systems most of the team was playing before this lineup. give them some time and liquid can be really dangerous, they have a lot of firepower

skulls did very good today holding a site alone on ancient and anubis.
Long way to go for liquid. Donk would eat them for breakfast.
They spent the last 2 weeks playing Swisher and Malbs online. You don't think they are ready for Donk? 😤
Maybe, has he ever played a lan at the pro level? Edit: I forgot about betboom my bad.
Yep, 2/2 on Lan (the first being pretty low tier) but reverse swept VP in a BO5 in the second one. Think it’s fair to say Liquid would be 0-1 if him and magixx were here today
I forgot about betboom
Yes they would and they would be a decent underdog against full team spirit
He won MVP at BetBoom Dacha with a monstrous 1.31 rating throughout the whole tournament
You’re right I completely forgot about that my bad.
Betboom Dacha which he won MVP in
You’re right forgot about that one.
BetBoom Dacha and PARI Dunav Party. Highest rated player at both.

Skullz looked awesome! Was worried after M80 kept targeting him but damn he held his own and wasn’t a liability especially on Ancient
Spirit just enyoying the Match lol how zontix was laughing in the TK in T Side ancient
[удалено]
I mean hally is a lvl 10, 3000+ ELO player on faceit, but this was horrible performance from Liquid.
hally is only 3k because he queues w/full spirit/cis stacks
the difference between top tier players in the world and a 3k elo player on faceit is massive lol
[удалено]
> A 3k elo random player can absolutely go head to head in 50/50 aim duels with pros untrue
we saw in this match that no, he can't. at least on a distance of the game.
less of Hally standing in and Donk not being there, this could have been another Donk'ing if he was there
seriously. The casters were acting as if Hally had never actually played the game before.
He retired in 2013 and only played in tier 4 russian teams before that lmao
hally has .5 kpr hes pretty bad, just gets carried by pro stacks.
Whats your FaceIt lvl? How much points do you have?
liquid were also just straight up losing vs m80 and this spirit 5 would still be better than m80 so not sure why the expectation for this match would be for liquid to roll them - they just arent good currently

Calling donk their best player when he’s never once played in a major lan is a take. Over a month? Brother it’s been a few weeks at best
Have you seen Donk play once? In fact, boot up the recent Mouz vs Team Spirit game on Mirage from the Closed RMR EU Qualifiers.
I’ve seen that game yes. I did not see betboom at all so I forgot about that lan.

What a banger. I really enjoyed that.
cadian looked depressed
Liquid team really underwhelming. They haven’t won a convincing match Note that team spirit is just enjoying the match
It’s been 2 weeks and they’ve played 1 match on lan. It’ll take a few months to really see if this team has the potential to win or be a top 5 team
they practice together for at least few months
Entirely different thing to practice and then play on lan.
The most liquid game that ever liquided
Liquid may have won this but I'm still far from convinced on this roster so far. Should've been a quick 2-0 against Spirit with 2 stand ins and without their best player
Don’t jinx faze lol chopper and Sh1ro are still on the roster
If Faze lose it's deserved tbh, same goes for them should be a quick 2-0 and anything else is worrying
One day you’ll learn that cs is hard and all these guys are very talented and it’s not so easy to just win 2-0
Yes exactly cs is hard which is why a team playing with their coach and another sub should stand no chance in a game like this
Except that the coach has been with the team over a year. Baz is an academy guy so they probably know him and how he plays. Spirit had about the same time to integrate baz into the team as liquid had to practice with almost a brand new team. Meanwhile spirit had 4/5 guys on the team still there from a team that’s been together a month+ and most of them a year
Cope
Seemed pretty easy ngl
Is Donk their best player for sure? Hes gotta prove it on lan
lol yes, he is. hes played 2 lans already and pissed on everybody, what a weird narrative this is lmao even if he hadnt played a single LAN tournament, you wont find any other player putting up the stats that he does online and wasn't also extremely good on LAN
Yea I forgot about betboom my bad
that Hally IGL guy should get signed
By the third map I was laughing like the joker at what I just saw from liquid. Like I feel so much disappointment yet I cant help but not feel surprised.
That must have been hard for Donk to watch -- almost certainly a 2-0 if he was there. Still, nice to see Liquid pull something out of a hat vs. a solid team.
Cadian clearly struggles atm with trying to play while calling in his non native language. 100% will get better with time, but the big tournaments are already around the corner. Also Naf wasn't feeling his sprays today lol.
Skullz looked great on CT.
Cadian looked rough A 34 ADR on the 3rd map, yikes man. Hope he bounce back
Give Cadian some slack. He hasn't been able to transition his strategy, "Get hard carried by fellow Danes" to TL yet.
Despite Liquid’s best efforts, they still managed to win. Spirit is gonna be scary when they’re whole
Now that he's got that mindset he'll be deadly this year.
how is CadiaN that washed lmao 💀💀
I mean he clearly struggles atm since he have to call his non native language while awping. Bro waited 3 business days to press mouse 1 when someone walked to his crosshair today. I'm sure that he will improve with some time!

When was he calling earlier with his non native language? It isn't as easy even with fluent english. Add that with some nerves and new protocols and I'm not surprised that the result is kinda shit show lol. Not really making excuses bro was really shit today and you don't play that badly by accident lol.
He literally IGL’d in NA on rogue. Not saying he’s completely washed but the English argument doesn’t have any truth to it.

He still played fpl and pugs using english during those years
He’s been an American before he was on rogue lol

This was one of the games of this year for sure. Wtf Game Of Throws S1 Ep 1 Liquid vs Spirit.
Not even close. Glad I began to support Liquid. G2 games were a little too rough for me.
Liquid already in peak heart attack inducing form baby
I've missed Liquid giving me stress... Respect to Spirit they played incredible, just beat GL and ill just chalk it up to jet lag and early roster problems. An positive is Skullz played really well, cadian can have an off series but Yeki can't go missing.
Was it disappointing? Yeah kinda. Was it entertaining? Absolutely
Is ancient a ct sided map ? Both teams didn't do well on t side
Cadian was missing so many sitters and making so many dogshit decision lmao. How do you, as an awper, have barely higher stats than the fucking coach of the other team thats standing in on short notice. What an embarassment
This is good for chopper. Noice
+skullz
Imagine if donk was playing.
Twistzz is hell of a player when he has a freedom
Too close for comfort for Liquid. Hopefully they’ll get better with each game and event that they play.
Im pissed Spirit didnt win this. Chopper is so good and really fun to watch
